The Youngster looks on in awe as the Acid hits his Poochyena. Powerless to do anything, he recalls the now fainted (Ekans was bound to do over 13 damage you know!  ) Dark-Type into its Poké Ball.
He seems slightly flustered as he takes another Poké Ball off of his belt and throws it onto the battlefield.
The Poké Ball opens to reveal Mankey!
The Mankey stares down your weakened Ekans.
The Youngster then tells his second rental Pokémon.
"We need to close the gap, Mankey. Let him have it with Fury Swipes!"
((You can switch or keep Ekans in the fight. Of course, with 10 HP left, I don't think he can take the Swipes. You'll have to decide on the best course of action though.  ))

The aron happily lets mina pet her, it is quite happy that SOMEPEOPLE think that it is beautiful (( ))

The mankey appears to be a tough opponent and Draloed's mind races with thoughts.
he settled on one.
"Ekans Use Leer"
If the mankey could be weakened then he could finish it off with another pokemon.
A breeze swoops by and knocks the hat off of draloeds head revealing his ghastly white hair. He scrambles to pick it up before the sun does some serious damage. ((i hope flash isn't going to be used quite often))

Starting to get fed up with carrying her contrary Zigzagoon, the girl put it back down on the ground. It trailed along behind her, slowed slightly by its awkward, squiggly gait. The Sandshrew gave it odd looks every once in a while, but continued on following.
The Buizel, glancing around, noticed the Aron being petted. It stopped following, and scampered up to it, chittering up at the humans around it and twirling its tails.

“Thank you!” Mina crouched down—carefully, to avoid aggravating her side—and started to pet Ironsides. “She’s so cute!” she crooned.
“Anyway, what I was saying before…I got the HM for Rock Smash from the nice lady in the blue tent.” Mina used the hand not currently petting the Aron to fish out the chip long enough to show him. Her voice then lowered conspiratorially. “And there was something else, too. I’m not sure if—”
A Buizel’s chattering stole her attention for a moment. “Oh hello, you look familiar…” Mina looked up and saw Korejora’s character. Her face split in a pleased grin. “Oy! Over here! Great, I can tell you both at once.” Mina lowered her voice yet again.
“I met Elder Roden earlier today. He’s in a bit of trouble it seems. Well…more than a bit.”
((I’ll let you guys respond rather than monologue all the info at you at once. ))

Draloed:
Ekans uses Leer!
Mankey's Defense drops by one level!
The debuff connects just as the Mankey attacks fiercely with the Fury Swipes, knocking out the already severely damaged Ekans.
The Youngster cheers and says:
"Good job Mankey! Way to close the gap! Let's go all the way!!!"
As your hat falls off, the Youngster can't help but look shocked. However, he quickly shakes off the feeling and returns his thoughts to the match.

"Yawuffaheh," the girl sputtered out a lazy vocalization in greeting. "What's the problem, sis?" Her Buizel skittered up onto her shoulder and imitated her question exaggeratedly. She swatted it on the nose to get it to be quiet so she could hear her friend.

Draloed picks the third pokeball and sends out the pokemon.
A zubat flutters out.
Knowing some basic info on one of the most common pokemon in caves draloed bellows
"Zubat use astonish"

Sting who was asleep, was woken up by the chattering of a buiziel and when it saw Ironsides it calmly descended from its perch((draloeds hat that he won fair and square)) and greeted the aron enthusiastically.

The Youngster grins as your Zubat makes to attack. He assesses the situation, and then says:
"Use Foresight!"
Mankey uses Foresight!
Mankey has identified your Zubat!
The spectators watching this particular battle raise their eyebrows in confusion. One of them can't help but snicker at the Mankey's last action. You also hear another young prospect mutter:
"What a low-percentage move that was."
Zubat uses Astonish!
Mankey takes 8 points of damage!
You realize that the Mankey can't be flinched by your Zubat ( Your Zubat is slower than his Mankey).

Mina blinked at Korejora’s character’s odd greeting. Ooo…kay…
But she continued at Draloed’s question. “In a manner of speaking, yeah. Elder Roden got thrown into a dimensional rift a couple of months ago by Team Bandra. He’s been stuck there ever since. I was going to investigate before my turn came up, but I wanted to let all of you know first; I thought maybe we could make more of a concentrated effort that way.”
Mina stood up, rubbing the wrap around her arm absently. “Anyway, guys, thanks for listening; I’m going to go find the rest of our group. If you see them before I do, let them know, will you?”

Misty begins to scan the crowd for any more of the group she had been traveling with. She doesn't want to get to far from where they keep the pokemon. Knowing she is just being overprotective of her pokemon, doesn't change the fact that she won't let anything bad happen to them. Wishing she could bring out her newest pokemon to greet it, she can't figure out how without harming it.

Misty hesitates for a second, glancing at the pokemon holding area, but then heads over that way. She seems relieved that she has found somebody familiar. "Finally a familiar face! So, how are things going here? I was off finding out about breeding." Once she is around somebody familiar she seems to relax.

“Could be worse, I got an HM from the lady in the blue tent,” Mina replied casually. Then her expression darkened. “I also ran into Elder Roden today while I was exploring town. He was thrown into the Spectral Dimension a few months ago by Team Bandra; I was going to find out what I could before my turn came up, but I want to tell Stacey and Omega first, so everyone in our group knows.”
Noticing the other girl’s nervousness, Mina made a deliberate attempt to lighten the conversation. “But how are you? Having fun so far?”

"Might want to wait till we have our own pokemon back before we do much investigating. We don't know if those goons are around, and I'd feel better with my own pokemon. Not that these guys," she pats the belt,"probably wouldn't do great, but I don't know them as well as I do the others."
She looks down at the ball holding her Feebas. "I wonder if they'd let me exchange feebas for Stripes. Stripes would know what to do."
"So what HM did you get?!" she asked excitedly. Her seriousness a moment ago gone as if it never exsisted.

Word’s traveled fast; some of the people already know we’re here and what we’re trying to do. And if our hypothetical grunts know about Altros’ defeat, they’ll be eager to avenge him or beat us to prove they’re better.” Mina rubbed the bandaged spot on her ribs. “Speaking of which, I hope you guys gave him a good kick in the butt for me; and Dove and Fate, as well.”

Mina considered this for a moment. “Maybe the Pokemon Center? If any goons harassed passing trainers when they came here, the nurses might know about it. Then we could work our way around town until our turns in the tournament. Should we split up, do you think?”
