"Cripes that's a long hike, my feet are killing me!" I stretch and look around. "Reckon I should head to the pokemon center and see if Nurse Joy knows anything about these Squad fellows." I make my way over to the center, wondering what Mina, Jack, and Mark were up too at this point in time. Hopefully not caught up in any Bandra battles.

Stepping into the center, Mark would start to walk to his room before something seemed to click in his head, and he turned back around to walk up to the nurse. Jack's Rattata had been fully shadowed in that last battle, so was there a way... "U-Um, hey! Uh..." Covering his mouth and looking away a bit as he yawned, Mark would pull out Chevalin's poke ball and set it on the table. "Do you know if there's a way to cure s-shadowing outside of battles?"

Matt:

You make it to the Pokemon Center without incident and talk to the nurse on duty.

"The Starlight Squad? You'll want to speak with Lijan; he was meeting with Elder Rashel over at the Contest Hall. If you see him, would you tell him his Kadabra is ready for him to pick up?"

((Jack, Mark and Mina are still in the previous day.))

----------------

Mark:

((Just to make sure it's clear: Chevalin isn't Shadowed just because her Shadow Gauge is > 0%. She'll only be Shadowed if it reaches 100%, at which point you have to chip it back down to 0% to de-Shadow her. If you already knew that you can disregard this note.))

The nurse looks instantly concerned. "Oh dear, what happened? Elder Saha and Elder Aquai had a Purification Chamber imported from Orre some time ago, but it was lost in a Bandra attack. That would have been the safest way...and the quickest. But without that, and without battling them...some trainers try special cologne to help them calm down. And the Geology Club in Greshil Town would dig up old relics sometimes that would help, but I don't know what happened to them after the town was destroyed...is there a reason you can't battle them?"

----------------

Jack, Mina:

"He took off after that last Cosmas and said he'd meet up with us at the Pokemon Center." Weren't you listening??? "We should head there too."

Mina felt a flash of concern; if this guy was this scatterbrained now, in reasonably-friendly territory, was it really a good idea to bring him with them into territory that was actually dangerous?

Not like we have people lining up to help I guess. And be fair Mina: maybe he's just tired.

Mina recalled her Pokemon, got her bearings and started walking back to the Center, glancing back at Jack as she went to see if he was coming.

----------------

Mark, Jack, Mina:

((Unless Alkar wants to do something before heading back, Jack and Mina arrive as Mark is questioning the nurse.))

(OoC~ oh good golly I'm a day ahead of everyone?! oops?!)

"Miss Joy, do you suppose if I brought his Kadabra too him, as it's a Psychic type and probably quite capable of defending itself from thieves, that I could do that? I'm afraid I've no idea whom any of the locals are you see. I'm from out of town and simply would like to help the Squad by any means."

A risky gamble, who knows what this Kadabra might do to my already scattered brain.

"Ah, right. But wouldn't it...I guess it doesn't matter now." Jack recalled Horsea and followed along, looking lost in thought. When they got to the center, Jack searched around in his pack, and brought out his feather. He then called out Snover. "Hey there. I've decided that this feather should go to you. It looks like it would be great..." Jack puts it at the top of her head. "There. We just need some way to sucure it there. Maybe some of that stuff those claws that I'm putting on Lee use."

"I'm sorry but it's against Center policy to hand peoples' Pokemon off to other trainers."

----------------

Mark, Jack, Mina:

((And you were putting the rest of the Claws on Lee when you got the chance too, correct Alkar? I'll update the sheet.

+4 Claws on Lee Tailor (6 total)
+1 Feather on Snover))

The temperature in the immediate vicinity drops as Jack's Snover materializes. Jack is able to find the glue after a few moments of searching and attach the Feather securely.

I nod and turn to walk out the door towards the contest hall. The noise from inside it can be heard all the way across the town! Sounds like quite the battle of strength is going on inside. As I open the door, it's just as packed as it was the day prior.
"Hmm, I've no idea who I'm looking for so... here goes nothing..." I clear my throat and say aloud, hopefully loud enough,"Ahem! If there's a fellow named Lijan here? I'm relaying a message for one Lijan that his Kadabra is ready for him at the pokecenter!"

((Actually did not know that, so this is a good thing to note!))

A little look of concern would cross mark's face, before he sighed and shook his head. "No, nothing preventing me from really using my pokemon in battle, and nothing that exactly happened to my pokemon tonight, but o-one of my friends kinda had an..." And at the sound of the door opening, Mark would turn back and wave Jack over. "S-Speak of the devil... h-hey, Jack! How's your Rattata?"

Matt:

After a bit of pointing and gesturing you are guided to the back of the Contest Hall, where the dressing rooms are. Since there isn't a Contest in progress it's much quieter back here; practically deserted, in fact. The only sounds you hear are those of a serious conversation being held in one of the dressing rooms. An adult male voice is talking to an older female...the door is closed, so you can't see either of them, but you recognize the latter as belonging to the Town Elder, who you'd previously seen overseeing Karaoke Night during your brief visit to the Hall last night.

----------------

Mark, Jack, Mina:

"Hi. My pokemon could use healing, and my Rattata is the one that got shadowed. So she can become better through battling?"

The nurse nods. "Yes, that's the usual way of doing it; we don't have a machine here that can help. You will need to be careful though – Shadow Pokemon will attack anything, including humans, and they're very hard to control."

"Erm, hello? Mister Lijan sir? Your Kadabra is waiting for you at the pokecenter!? Hellooo??? I know people are back here! It's far too quiet to not notice two voices even if they're muddled from the other side of a door! Not that I'm deliberately trying to eavesdrop or anything! But I was advised to seek you out!" Really? Not that I'm trying to eavesdrop? Smooth Matt, real smooth. I think to myself. Hopefully that won't arouse any negative suspicion....

To Mark, "Ratatta could be better, it seems." Back to the nurse, "So, is there any enclosed area that I could take her, where she couldn't hurt anyone, or escape, or anything bad like that, and have her work through this shadow stuff?"

Matt:

The door cracks open and through the narrow space you can see a single baby-blue eye and a stripe of face that looks to be mid-to-late twenties.

"Can I help you?"

----------------

Mark, Jack, Mina:

((Good, you're thinking ahead now. ))

The nurse responds as she runs the Pokeballs through the healing machine.

"Yes, we have a room in the back you can use. I'll have it cleaned out shortly."

The nurse hands everyone their newly-healed Pokemon and directs one of the Chansey into the back.

((Fifteen minutes later...))

The nurse emerges, a little bit of dust on her apron now. "Come with me please!" The nurse gestures for everyone to follow and leads the way to a room in the back: windowless, largely featureless, no furniture inside, and with a very sturdy door. Boxes that had presumably been stored there are now stacked neatly in the hallway outside.

"Here you are! Just let me or one of the Chansey know when you're finished."

Taking Chevlain, even though he was hesitant to use one of his higher leveled pokemon like this, and one who didn't really trust him to boot, Mark would follow along behind the nurse and Jack, and ask the other trainer, "Um... mind if I just... come with you q-quick before bed? Need to h-help this one with shadowing too..."

Mark, Jack, Mina:

Mina didn't have any Pokemon that needed to be de-Shadowed. She was tired, and groggy, and woozy, and irritable.

But the rational part of her acknowledged that this was something that was likely to come up for her, and she ought to take notes even if the boys didn't necessarily need her help. She checked the time and sighed internally. 10 PM.

"I'll come too, just in case."

The door eases open to a more normal conversation width and you can now make out the man's expression: polite seriousness, distant interest, with a faraway look in his eyes you get the impression is more his default expression than a reflection of his current thought processes.

"What is your name?"
