Draloed:
The next few rounds advance in the same manner. Magnemite uses Tackle and Mareep uses Discharge.
Magnemite uses Tackle!
Mareep is hit for 6 damage!
Mareep uses Discharge!
Magnemite is hit for 7 damage!
It's not very effective...
Magnemite recovers 3 HP with its held Leftovers!
Magnemite HP: 10/40
Mareep HP: 12/46
Magnemite uses Tackle!

Mina wandered over to the Pokemon Center once the aftermath effects of the battle were cleared up, feeling somewhat dazed. She picked up a cool glass of water and sat down; that last match had taken a lot out of her, and her ribs had started to twinge. She felt tired.
That was a lot closer than I would have liked. Mina thought to herself. Then remembered who was in the next bracket over. ...and probably as close as I'm going to come. Adrenaline started to push away the fatigue. Drat. I need to plan.
Mina finished her water ((proper hydration people!  )) and made her way out of the Center. She strolled past the far outskirts of town, out of sight of the Battle Tournament, then called out her Pokemon.
"Okay guys, time to talk strategy. Two of my friends are battling in the next bracket over, so we're going to be fighting one of them next. My money's on Misty winning, so it'll probably be her. I know her, and she's a competent battler." Mina drew in a deep breath to steady herself.
"Poliwag--Onix. This may be the last time we ever battle together again, and if that's the case, I want you to know that it was an honor fighting with you. Let's talk strategy, guys."
The four began to plan, gathered around Mina's open Pokedex.
((...))
"Okay," Mina huffed at last. "We have our strategy. So long as they don't change the rules on us again, dump us in a double battle or relocate the whole thing to the moon, we should...we should..." Mina couldn't bring herself to say 'we should be okay', so said instead "We'll have as good a chance as we're going to get. Be ready for anything, guys."
Mina recalled her rentals and returned to town to wait for her next match.
((Actually, a double battle sounds like fun. Can we do that?))

As your Magnemite attempts to use Charge Beam, it gets hit dead on by a Night Shade (for 15 damage), KO'ing it.
((I know, I know...brief post, but your Magnemite WAS slower than that Natu.  ))

A normal type has trouble damaging a rock type, and Misty doesn't remember what other pokemon he had. So, rock type it is.

Draloed becomes quite tense. i night shade is not something expected...
his remaining pokemon are inneffective versus that natu...
but the zubat does know astonish and is likely to be faster than natu.
He releases zubat and...
"Astonish zubat!"

Mina found herself pacing outside the red tent, plotting, waiting for the next round to start. She was too nervous to do much else, and in any case she'd seen most all there was to see in town.

And with that, your last Pokémon faints, the crowd goes wild cheering for the Lass and the announcer heads over to you, saying:
"Tough luck there. Congrats on reaching this far. I want to give you this..."
The announcer asks for your Trainer card and Pokédex and runs them through a scanner. He then returns them to you saying:
"There you go. A BP for your effort."
You have gained 1 BP!
Zubat is added to your regular team!
He then leaves the arena, running over to Stacey and Misty's match. The Lass walks over to you, and says:
"Great match!"
She winks at you flirty before leaving the arena as well.
