hmmmm draloed realizes none of his pokemon have a distinct advantage agaisn't mareep. he decides to send out ekans. as the snake emerged from its ball draloed ordered it to acid the mareep.

Mina recalled Poliwag, feeling as though her stomach had fallen out of her body. She found herself wondering which of her two remaining rentals she should send out next; both of them had a weakness to Ground type attacks--Houndour couldn't take as much damage but Onix could barely scratch her opponent's Pokemon. It wasn't a choice of who to send out; it was a choice of who to sacrifice, and Mina regretted having to make it.
At last she decided. She needed Cubone unconscious, and fast; Onix didn't stand a chance of doing that. Houndour...
...might.
Only one way to find out.
"Houndour, use Bite!"

You send out your Houndour and it rushes in to Bite the Cubone.
The Ranger then says:
"Quick! Bone Club that Houndour!"
As the Houndour charges in, the Cubone prepares its Club.
Houndour uses Bite!
Cubone takes 12 damage! ((11-13, so lucky! ))
Cubone faints!
The Cubone makes to raise its club, nearly managing to, but faints from its injuries just in time.
The Ranger bites her lips and says:
"Darn, I could've sweeped you. Darned Rock Tomb..."
She then sends out Linoone, again.

"Good work Houndour!" The Dark type yipped gleefully at his narrow victory.
"Darn, I could've sweeped you. Darned Rock Tomb..."
SWEEPED me? Why you little...! Mina did not say so however, determining instead to make the androgynous Ranger eat her words. She called back Houndour, and sent out Onix again.
"Use Rock Tomb!"
