Christian looked at steelix and said "Following regulations I am allowed to switch out my pokemon with another one in my pocket so I do so." Christian didn't have time to think, but he made a quick though "He'll probaly not follow rules anyway thou..."

Steelix is hit for 26 points of damage!
It's super effective!
The Ranger Grunt looks at you and grins:
"Such ineffectual attacks! You will never bring down my Steelix!"
Steelix uses Tackle!
Surskit is hit for 14 points of damage!
It is immediately apparent that there is something wrong. The Steelix deals a lot more damage than you would expect. Then you figure it out...the Steelix has a higher level than your Surskit. Using your Pokédex, you quickly scan the steel snake:
Level: 20
HP: 40/66
Attack: 45
Defense: 91
Speed: 23
Sp.Atk: 33
Sp.Def: 37
Surskit's Condition: HP: 27/41

After Mina had traveled through town a while longer and determined that there was nothing what-so-ever going on that didn't require pushing her way through extensive crowds to get to, she headed off to the merchant tent, frowning a bit that no one had responded to her text message. (( ))
"Hello," she said to one of the merchants inside, "I'd like to buy two Potions, an Antidote, a Burn Heal, a Paralyze Heal, a Great Ball...and, why not? A regular Pokeball too."

Misty:
The merchant wraps up the Spectral Ball and three regular Pokeballs. He hands you your purchases and you leave. As you walk out of the tent, you see him placing a folded piece of paper reading 'SOLD OUT' on the pedestal that had held the Spectral Ball.

Mina:
The merchant set the last of her items before Mina, checking her Pokedex for the Great Ball to make sure she hadn’t already bought two.
“Spending your winnings from the tournament, lass?”
“You bet,” she responded with a grin.
“Good for you. But keep your eyes open, lass; a round ago one of the competitors turned out to be part of Team Bandra. It’s not safe around here.”
She thanked the man for his warning and left.

I wander around the surrounding area of the village, having nothing to do, since I lost earlier, and none of my friends are in a battle now. I have my slugma out, traveling at my side, talking to it. Whatever crosses my mind, I begin conversing with the slugma about. I receive the message from Mina, soon after.
~Hey guys! What's going on?~
I didn't remember receiving the little text update, though I figured it must've been some wireless update that went on while I was doing some other thing. I decide to reply.
~Latest doings is wondering if Grimer would like to be out of its pokeball for an extended period of time in this area.~
((Are there names sent with these texts? Do I know who sent this, and who I'm replying to?))

((I assume so, since we can pick who we send it to. O.o This is one of those situations where the information would be glaringly obvious to our characters but we have no way of telling ourselves. XD))

((No need to check status. This is over! ))
You have your Surskit use Bubblebeam for a third time.
The Grunt looks at you, with a strange mix of awe, confusion, and anger, as the Bubblebeam connects.
The Steelix faints before it can Tackle the Surskit.
The crowd goes wild as you win the battle, even more so since it's a Bandra Grunt.
The announcer runs up to you elated, as the Grunt escapes into the wilderness.
You have gained 4000 PD!
You have gained 2 BP!
The announcer then says:
"Here's an additional something for your efforts..."
You have received a Rare Candy!

Group:
Everyone (except Christian who still has no clue who's in the group or not), meets up at the Pokémon Center.
Dove comes out of the Center and greets you all. A familiar face limps out right next to her...
She grabs Fate as he nearly falls flat on the floor.
He then says:
"Hi guys."
He still looks rather battered from the Explosion the group had to withstand over at the Slashpeak Base. However, the fact he is walking at all is a sight to behold. His forehead is bandaged, and one of his arms has a cast.
((Do what you will for now. Soon the final (is it already, can't remember ) round will begin. ))

Christian (again):
You make your way to the Pokémon Center to heal up. As you near the Center, you notice a group of Trainers huddled together ((hmm...I wonder who they could be.)).
You recognize Dove, but not the young man standing next to her. You also recognize a familiar face from the merchant's tent ((Draloed aka. Mamageater)).

((At the PokeCenter…))
Mina greeted her assembled friends as she approached the Center, and idled around the front doors until the stragglers had arrived.
“Fate!” Mina called cheerily when he and Dove made their exit. “When did you wake up?” Poor kid looks like he got hit by a truck. And I thought Dove and I had it bad…
((Not the finals yet, winter; B-E-T-A’s still one round behind due to being gone for a month. He’s due to fight that Lass that beat Draloed first.))

Out of the corner of one eye Mina noticed movement; a thin, blue-eyed boy dressed primarily in black had sat down nearby. He seemed to be sitting very still, as though listening—his posture seemed to her very suspicious, and her hand started inching towards the Pokeballs on her belt of its own accord.
She glanced over at the boy to ensure she wasn’t just imagining things, then leaned closer to Dove.
“Don’t look now, but I think we picked up a stalker,” she whispered. Louder, so the rest of the group could hear her, she said, “Fate, you look like you could use a chair. How about we go inside?”
((Fixed.  Next time specify beforehand! I’m trying to help you get introduced some time before the end of the century, and you didn’t exactly give me much detail to work with! ))

Christian heard the name "Fate" be used on one of the persons and remembered the letter he had from "Fate". He stood up turned around facing the group and said "Which one of you is Fate?"

Exhusted from walking around in a circle endlessly waiting for a pokemon to show, Misty sits down. Stripes comes up and yaps at her. "Yeah, I know. You told me. I was kinda hoping though. We'll find new friends later. Lets go check on Fate."
She calls all but Stripes back and heads to find Fate.

((Update!! ))
As Mina makes the stalker comment to Dove, the group notices Christian off in the distance.
Christian then asks his question ((about who Fate is)) and a very weary and beat up Fate raises his good hand.
Dove motions for Christian to come closer and says:
"I presume you received the letter?"
Christian nods as Dove smiles and says, to Mina:
"Good. Christian here is going to help us in our quest to defeat Team Bandra."
Misty arrives and is filled in by Dove about Christian.
After the proceedings, one of the tournament officials bolts in and points at Christian, saying:
"You need to come with us. Apparently, we messed up the lineups and you have one more battle before facing Mina *points at Mina*"

((I'll let you post. Your next opponent is a Lass and she will send out a Vulpix, who will use Ember. Plan your first move accordingly. ))

((Damn, you Winter! Ruined the fun I would have NOT trusting the group of people to be who they say the are and thus having a battle with them to make sure they are who they say they are ))
Christian looked at the Lass "Seriouly, why don't you just give up now I don't have time for this!" Christian took up a pokeball and throwed it "Surskit, rain dance! Follow up with bubblebeam!"
