"Or one of you (she says this in a general manner, but is looking at Fate the whole time) could put on this uniform and go back there. You should be able to incapacitate him before he notices the difference."
Dove then ponders the other comment and adds:
"If he's incapacitated, then he can't use his radio, can he?"
She winks at you and then goes over to Fate. (( ))

Draloed:
Dove is so intent on moving over to Fate that she answers "yes" to your question, while moving ever closer to Fate.
She tells Fate the plan. He looks at her with a look of disbelief and she glares at him. He begrudgingly takes the uniform and walks into the building.
Two minutes later:
Fate leaves the building, now dressed up as a Bandra grunt, and moves over to the other guard. You can't tell what they're saying, but you notice Fate punch the other guard out and motion for the group to come closer. He takes the radio off of the now unconscious guard and places it on his belt.
As you reach Fate, you notice the look on his face as he looks at Dove; one of scorn.
Dove looks at Fate:
"You're so asking for it, you know that? Do you want to know what your father told me back at the village?"
Fate lets out a *hmph* when Dove asks, but she replies anyway:
"He said that you would spend your nights crying because you missed me and that once you even told him that you loved me, as more than a friend. He also told me to nod if I understood him."
Anyone would've been embarrased by being put on the spot like this, and Fate wasn't about to be the exception. The look on his face was one of genuine embarrassment. He looked like he would've paid 1 million PD to be anywhere else but there.
Dove then looks at him, with a loving smile and asks:
"So, tell me, why are you pushing me away like this?"
Fate is mute. Dove, satisfied at the progress she has had with Fate in this conversation, decides to leave him be. ((just this once  ))
She then turns toward the group and asks:
"Ready? It's time to go in!"
((And you will all have to wait until tomorrow to go in. You can now converse IC, while tomorrow rolls around  .))

Mina blinked, and raw fury blazed across her eyes—for about half a second, before she regained her composure. Sneaky, underhanded—
"Good, they'll never know that Altros has been here ever since he was defeated back at the ship." A laugh. "Now, come back and return to your post. Altros will have our heads if they manage to break in. He doesn't want any interference in our mission, no matter how minor."
The radio snicked off.
“Well never mind that then. On the bright side, this means we don’t have a deadline to beat; it’s already too late.” Mina scowled.
"Now what do we do? He's already here...and we were about to barge in there. But, we can't turn back now...he has the advantage of flight; he'll keep hounding us if we don't stop him at some point."
Mina bit her lip. The situation just kept getting more and more unfavorable; at this rate they were going to find out that half of Team Bandra was waiting outside the door, waiting to maul them the minute they walked outside.
“I don’t know. We can’t even really retreat and regroup at this point; they’ll know we’re here, and there isn’t enough cover to go to ground in until they stop looking for us once they start.”
And drat it, this is MY fault. Mina thought thunderously. I suggested busting up the power lines, and now there’s a big mess of wiring where their electrical grid used to be, so it isn’t as if we can turn around and expect them not to notice we were here. If it weren’t for that, we could just leave them waiting for us here, hit somewhere else they aren’t expecting us and come back once they’d let their guard down.
But what was I supposed to do? No one else had any better ideas, and we couldn’t just go charging in headlong without taking some preventative measures, we’d have been butchered! We’ll STILL be butchered! ARGH!
…but this isn’t helping anything. THINK Mina THINK!

Mina couldn’t help but smile at this. See? A little voice in the back of her head seemed to say. No need to stress. You’re not in this alone.
“Pichu can take care of the radio, I think.”
((Yay! I’m not the only one besides winter posting anymore!  ))

She takes out her own Pokédex and scans one of the two Poké Balls on the belt of the unconscious guard ((the one next to the entrance, not the one KO'ed near the building ))
The Pokédex provides a positive ID. The wireless connection gives the information to all the Pokédexes in the group.
Dove points out the obvious ((since you can see it in your 'Dex.))
"It's a Sandshrew. Hmm...no wonder those other Sandshrew were so eager to join us. It seems they're using the Sandshrews as extra soldiers."
A scan on the other Poké Ball turns up the same ID.
Dove frowns as she ponders this.
Mina:
Dove then looks at you and says:
"Well, we have the radios in our possesion now, but if you still want to fry them...go right ahead. It is a valid precaution."

“Poor little guys…” Mina murmured, patting the Pokeball of her Sandshrew pityingly.
"Well, we have the radios in our possesion now, but if you still want to fry them...go right ahead. It is a valid precaution."
Mina shrugged. “It doesn’t matter to me, really, so long as they can’t use them to call for help. I just figured it’d be easier to fry the radios then sneak up and knock the guards unconscious before they could use them, but since that’s done now…”
Mina trailed off. “Why, did you have a plan? Use the radios to listen in on their movements, or something? I suppose that could work, so long as they don’t realize we’re doing it; otherwise we might end up walking into a trap.” Mina was obviously still incised about the fake letter, although taking pains not to show it.
“And do you lot want me to tie this guy up too?” She nudged the unconscious guard with her foot.

“He’s right,” Mina agreed quietly. “We’re going to have enough trouble dealing with Altros alone; if we can’t be subtle he’ll have half the base with him when we finally run into him. Believe me, I know all this sneaking around is frustrating; it frustrates me too! But if we want to survive this, much less win, the sneak tactics are our only chance for the moment.”

Moderately listening to any of the conversations that have gone on recently, I catch Misty saying how we should just rush in, again, and the other two's counters to that.
"Well, I enjoy the sneaking around. It is kind of fun. So, that's what I'll be doing. Rush in, if you want to, but I won't be going with you."
I prepare for the sneaking.

I quickly rush to the other edge of the door, viewing in, as it is opened, ready to warn the others if there are any guards within, and how many. I also try to keep hidden as much as I can, showing only as much as my face as needed.

((This one, at least, has a doorknob. Some of the other ones open when they detect nearby motion. ))
As you open the right door, you see yet another door. Fate walks up to the front of the group, near Dove (( )) and says, in a hushed voice:
"Watch this."
Go...Totodile.
Fate sends out Totodile and has it blast the next door down with a Water Gun, after closing the other door behind the group, so as to soundproof the room from the rest of the floor.
Inside, you see four guards playing a card game. They are betting quantities of PD on the results of their "draws". You count 2000 PD on the table, and get the feeling that they are laying their monthly salary on the line for several rounds of gambling pleasure.
The room itself has a cabinet, four chairs and a table. It also has four security computers that are offline, because of the power outage.
The base appears to be running on emergency power.
They turn around slowly as they notice the group behind them. One of the guards attempts to run towards the alarm, and is restrained by some Vine Whips.
Dove tells off the guard:
"Silly man. I can't let you push that button. Well, I could, but I won't let you."
The other guards attempt to call for back-up and have their radios shorted out unceremoniously by carefully aimed Water Guns.
Fate looks at them and says:
"Silly guys. I could let you call for back-up, but well, I'm not feeling suicidal today."
The guards glare at Fate and retort:
"Oh really? Wait until Officer Altros gets a hold of you."
Fate and Dove exchange looks of amusement and Fate says:
"Whatever happens to us won't be as bad as what'll happen to you when he finds out we made away with your...*takes the money off the table* monthly salaries, or rather the circumstances in how we made away with your cash."
Dove rubs it in some more:
"Yeah, after all, you're supposed to be preventing us from breaching the deeper levels of this base."
Dove cracks her knuckles and asks:
"Now boys...which of you has the keycard for Floor 2?"
The guards exchange looks of feigned confusion and reply:
"What are you talking about?"
Dove then proceeds to bore the guards ((and the group )) with a long speech on how bases ALWAYS have keycard controlled elevators.
After about five minutes of speech, one of the guards cracks:
"Here! Take the darned keycard! Just leave us alone!"
The four guards run ((or attempt to, your call)) to freedom away from Dove's long-winded speech.
After the sequence, Dove chuckles and says:
"The long, boring talk routine. It works even better than torture, at times."
She winks as the group looks around the room for items of value.
Besides the 2000 PD, you find a SM (Helnith's Techinical Machines . The S stands for Skill). Upon examining it with your Pokédex, you realize that it's the SM for Substitute.

Drat, Mina thought as she spotted the gambling guards. It’s times like this I wish I had a Pokemon with Hypnosis. Or Sleep Powder. Maybe Sing… She paused her line of thought as Dove and Fate easily neutralized the guards. Pidgey chirped as the four men retreated, watching curiously as they disappeared down the hallway,
“I don’t know why you two needed us to come,” Mina remarked to the duo aloud, sounding amused. “You seem to have everything under control all by yourselves.”
Mina strolled in to help secure the room. I wonder what’s in here…? She dug through the cabinet, then systematically unplugged and disconnected each of the security computers. Finally she called out Pichu. “I’m going to have Pichu fry these computers; any objections?”

((I snuck in to update. ))
Mina:
Dove and Fate look at you and grin happily. And, afterwards they, unexpectedly, look at each other happily.
Dove then says:
"Up to now, that is. I expect the resistance to be greater as we head down to the deeper levels."
She smiles slightly, her morale boosted by the ease in which Fate and her stopped the first group of guards.
You then search through the cabinet and find a document. It reads:
The Effects of Stones on Spectral Pokémon
Through much research, we have found that utilizing Stones, like Water Stones for example, can cause some Spectral Pokémon to mutate. It is a fascinating discovery. The nature of the mutations should not be considered evolutions in their own sense, even though they serve to bolster the affected creature in some manner or form. More research will be required to fully understand the implications of this discovery. I sincerely hope that this is worthy of additional funding, Boss. We expect a breakthrough soon.
The document is not signed, but you can assume that it was written by a scientist, or at least someone involved with scientists.
As you make to close the cabinet, you notice a slight blue glow. You turn around and find a Water Stone.
Fate looks at the blue stone in shock:
"Wow! You can use those to evolve certain Water-Type Pokémon."
He makes no attempt to hide his surprise.
Dove looks at him amusingly and tells Mina:
"You might want to keep that stashed away safely, lest a certain someone decides to take it and use it."
Fate looks at Dove and whistles innocently. The good thing is that the two aren't fighting anymore. The bad thing is that Fate doesn't want to talk to her at all; it would seem he's looking for the right time and place. Dove picks up on his body language and remarks:
"If you want to talk to me, you could just let me know..."
Fate blushes and turns away.
((The only update for today...must return to my ungrateful studies.... Take care guys! Where will you all go next? ))

Mina scanned though the document. Probably fake too. She stuffed it in her pack anyway.
An odd blue glow caught her eye. There was a flat blue stone set inside against the cabinet wall, hidden by the lip of the door.
"Wow! You can use those to evolve certain Water-Type Pokémon."
"You might want to keep that stashed away safely, lest a certain someone decides to take it and use it."
“Probably wise.” Mina agreed.
She chuckled softly at Fate’s ‘who, me?’ whistling and buried the stone securely in her pack before she set about disabling the computers.
