Misty seems irritated.  "Lets try something different.  Growlithe helping hand on Hedge.  Hedge, Scratch attack!"

Meanwhile Evan and Stripes squared off against the other pokemon.  One tackles it, while the other lowers its head and slams into it with a headbutt.

Christian wakes up at the sound of the tower doors opening((I imagen that they are somewhat rusty and noisy when opening)) and opens one eye to look at it. Taking a quick peek around himself he notices that seemingly nobody was around him and he grinned under the mask.
"Time to go treasure hunting in the haunted tower, Indy." he thought and quietly laughed inside himself.

"So what's the plan?" Brona asked the others, looking at both the Pokemon Center and the tower. "Who's going where? We have to take care of the remaining grunts, to make sure whatever happens we won't be battling several directions."

Brona looked at the commander. "I bet he give us some information we need."

"So what's the plan? Who's going where? We have to take care of the remaining grunts, to make sure whatever happens we won't be battling several directions."

Little late for that, Mina thought ironically to herself.

“Stripes and Evan have that one,” she motioned to the goon in the south fighting with his battered Wobbuffet, “Misty’s claimed the ones inside, Draloed has the tower. Ana and your plague-happy friend have those two,” Mina motioned west. “Our biggest problem is going to be keeping them all here.”

Mina cupped her hands around her mouth and shouted to the battle in the west. “Pidgey, Gust that bug! Pikachu, Quick Attack it!” Into the Center she called, “Oodramer, keep holding the goons here! Sandshrew, Poison Sting! Natu, you stay here with me,” she told the bird, patting him. “Be ready for anything.

She was painfully aware that if Draloed couldn’t hold off whatever was coming out of the tower, she’d have trouble getting to all of her Pokemon if they had to run for it. But there was no help for it.

I will take Rhyhorn and Magby to assist Adrina and my plague-happy friend in the west." He arched one eyebrow at Mina. "Please use Gastly nicely. I have this feeling you don't really like me, but don't don't take it out on him." without waiting for an answer Brona headed west.

Mina glanced at Brona’s retreating form with a look of confusion.

Why would I take your lack of concern for your Pokemon out on them?

But that was something they could deal with after the fight.

“Gastly?” she asked politely. “Would you please Mean Look that Grunt as well?” Mina pointed to the Grunt her Natu had Teleported back.

----------------

Brona’s Gastly pins the Grunt (who still looked a little uncertain what to do, having no Pokemon left and his Officer standing in place apparently asleep) in place with Mean Look while Draloed takes off for the tower.

Draloed’s Pokemon break off and follow him; as Zucruu leaves, the Grunt she’d trapped with Mean Look feels the compulsion against fleeing fade away ((same as if she’d been recalled)).

As he is headed in that direction, Draloed is the first to clearly see the two figures framed in the door—it’s the town Elder, supported by a skinny individual unfamiliar to most of the group. Pellana sees them and waves; the group hears her shout a rather faint—but cheerful—greeting to the pair. The skinny figure waves back while Stripes and Evan take down the Wobbuffet and corner its trainer.

((Draloed recognizes the Town Elder, of course. Christian, if he looks in that direction, will recognize the other person as the other red shirt he fought in the Gym—remember when he ran off at the beginning of the Gym fight? Now you know where he went. ))

Brona and his Pokemon arrive at the western fight just in time to witness the next round.

Pikachu uses Quick Attack!
Wispaferyn 2 is hit for 6 damage!

Wispaferyn 2 uses Helix Flame! ((Roll = 79 – miss!))

The Fire bug charges Shambak, but due to its current nimbleness Shambak is able to dodge with ease.

Pidgey uses Gust!
Wispaferyn 2 is hit for 19 damage!
It’s super effective!

Machop 1 uses Seismic Toss!
Pidgey is hit for 25 damage!

Shambak uses Razor Leaf! ((Roll =16, auto-hit, auto-hit – hit, hit, hit!))
Wispaferyn is hit for 4 damage!
It’s not very effective!
Machop 1 is hit for 21 damage!
Machop 2 is hit for 19 damage!

Jigglypuff uses Sing! ((Roll = 10, auto-hit, auto-hit – hit, hit, hit!))
All foes fall asleep!

Jigglypuff takes a bow as all three opposing Pokemon fall to the ground (or drift aimlessly in Wispaferyn’s case), asleep.

Grunt 2 calls out for Machop 2 to use Revenge! ((Roll = 81))
Machop 2 sleeps!

“Surrender!” Pellana orders the Grunts.

Inside the Center, the Pokemon-less Grunt takes off running. The negative energy trapping the other goon fades and he tries to run as well. Too slow to properly pursue, Oodramer sends another Vortex after them. ((Quick Claw Roll = 75)) It catches up with the tail-most Grunt, trapping him again.

“You hold them off, I’ll escape out the back!” the first goon calls back, not stopping for a moment.

Hey!” protests the second. “Don’t leave me here! Rrrrgh! Wispaferyn Smokescreen again!”

Growlithe uses Helping Hand!
Growlithe is ready to help Hedge!

Wispaferyn D uses Smokescreen!
Accuracy of all foes falls!

Rattata uses Hyper Fang! ((Roll = 59 – hit!))
Wispaferyn is hit for 13 damage!

Hedge uses Scratch! ((Roll = 64 – hit!))
Critical hit!
Wispaferyn is hit for 14 damage!

Sandshrew uses Poison Sting! ((Roll = 2 – hit!)) ((Roll = 28 – no Poison))
Wispaferyn is hit for 4 damage!

“This isn’t working…” the goon wails to himself.

Snorlax takes the opportunity to exit the Pokemon Center, unchallenged save for having to duck under the doorframe, and use Curse (+1 level Attack and Defense, -1 level Speed, +5 HP from Leftovers).

Christian couldn't help but laugh at the irony as he was placed under the mean look yet again. He looked in the direction of the tower and sees some old guys standing with one of Pellena's redshirts over there. He then turns back to the one he guessed was the leader of the group((Mina)) and said "So, I guess you guys really are those troublesome trainers that has been causing tremendous trouble for our team. Hehe, in the end, I guess this battle was doomed from the very beginning for my team." Christian smiled under his mask.
Christian sticked his hand into his pocket and took out early sketch he had made of the base and the smokeball.
"I guess that you might as well could get a reward for being such a persistant bunch. So here you go!" He said as he ripped the map off the rest of the blog and threw the papers in the air. He then proceeded to cast the smokeball on the ground, grab it right after exploding, and then run off."
((All assuming I can use the smokeball to get away from mean look, seing as the pokémon won't be staring at me anymore))
"Next time you won't be so lucky...starlight!" he shouted, knowing well that the last word was miss-placed.

((Unfortunately the fridge logic fails; Zucruu can use Mean Look and Zubat doesn’t even have eyes. ))

"So, I guess you guys really are those troublesome trainers that has been causing tremendous trouble for our team. Hehe, in the end, I guess this battle was doomed from the very beginning for my team. I guess that you might as well could get a reward for being such a persistant bunch. So here you go!”

Mina saw the paper and had just enough time to wonder what he was doing—littering?—before the smoke erupted.

Pidgey! Use—” Mina took an unexpected lungful of smoke and started choking.

Next time you won't be so lucky...starlight!"

Starlight? Mina wondered through her hacking fit. What’s he—ack!—talking about?

----------------

Smoke pours over the area, so thick the human trainers can barely see the ground, much less each other. Mina tries to call for Gust and promptly chokes on the smoke. But Christian finds that even with the smoke obscuring the Ghost type his attempts to flee end with him staring off in a random direction, his feet refusing to move.

Fortunately, he gets a bit of help.

One of the Grunts fighting in the west takes off for the helicopters, but the other Grunt stops him by grabbing his shoulder.

“No you don’t! Triple B will kill us if we come back without the boss!”

After a split-second’s hesitation the two Grunts run into the smoke, their Pokemon preventing Pellana, Adrina, and Brona from following. They manage to locate Christian thanks to the simple fact that he hasn’t moved much, then they pick him up and awkwardly carry him until he’s out of Mean Look’s range.

The three of them then run towards the helicopters, joined by one of the Grunts from the Center and the Grunt with the Wobbuffet (who’d used the smoke to escape from Stripes and Evan). Their remaining Pokemon are recalled, the five of them ((Christian, Grunts 1, 2, 4, and 6)) get in and the helicopters are started up. Mina finally manages to quit coughing long enough to call for Gust, but it’s too late; the smoke is already clearing as the rotors start to turn and blow it away. The other goon from the Center ((Grunt 5, the one Oodramer trapped with Vortex last round)) bursts from the smoke-clogged Center, recalling his Wispaferyn as he goes, but he, also, is too late; they’ve taken off without him.

No!” he calls. His remaining fellow ((Grunt 3; the one Gastly Mean Looked last round)) gazes after the retreating helicopters with a blank sort of interest, unable to comprehend what it means thanks to Mean Look.

Mina watches the two helicopters fly off as well, gritting her teeth; her eyes are streaming from the smoke and her coughing fit.

No you don’t, not until I find out for sure—!

She manages a clean lungful of air.

Pidgey! Knock them out of the sky! Gust!

The helicopters are higher in the sky now; Pidgey flies after and obeys. The inhabitants of the helicopters are rocked, but the vehicles stabilize—perhaps with time and training Pidgey will be able to knock them out of the sky, but this time he lacks the sheer power necessary to bring them down.

In the helicopter with Christian, one of the Grunts ((Grunt 6)) gets Christian’s attention as the Bandra forces flee the scene.

“Hey boss…got these out of the Center for ya.”

He hands Christian the spoils he’d snatched from the desk, plus a couple of non-typical Pokeballs he’d also managed to grab on his way out—pale pink with tan markings and blue around the center. Christian is able to pocket the loot before he realizes that while the helicopter is no longer rocking back and forth, one of his Pokeballs is; Tyrogue’s ball shakes until the Fighting type is disgorged.

And then the Pokemon begins to glow.

((B-E-T-A, your loot consists of 2 Potions, 1 Revive, and 2 Heal Balls.

The rest of us have our little gift from Christian, plus two prisoners if we bother to take them.

All Pokemon that participated gain +2 levels, with the following exceptions:

Pylus gains +4 levels
Magby gains +4 levels
Tyrasin would get +2 levels but he’s Shadowed and thus, can’t gain experience. (But rest assured, once he’s de-Shadowed he will get the level-ups, plus any other experience he gets in the mean time.)

Allocate your EVs, guys. ))

"Snorlax, chase after those guys, and body slam them into immobility!" Stacey struggled to call out. Though, even without the reduced speed, she wouldn't have been able to make it to them in time. That, and the smoke that filled the area made it difficult to target them in the first place. All Snorlax was able to slam was the ground beneath, sending dust in the air, mixing with the smoke.

As the smoke cleared, Stacey saw the results of the failed attack.

"Good attempt anyway. Now, come here. You come too, Rattata!"

She turns to those who were walking from the tower, and heads in that direction, the two following behind. She started checking for any sign of more Team Bandra mischief. Nothing appeared off, however.

((‘No signs of mischief’?))

“Thank you Gastly,” Mina told the Ghost type before he hovered off. “Wait—”

The Grunt under Mean Look blinked as the effect faded, then came to his senses and started to run off. Before she could interfere, he was tackled to the ground by Pellana’s underling, who along with Nurse Joy, Sandshrew and Oodramer had exited the Center—Mina assumed to escape the smoke.

“I will watch the Bandra scum.” Pellana’s underling—Jason?—informed her seriously, sitting on the Grunt to hold him in place.

“Thank you,” Mina responded. I think. She took the opportunity to collect her Pokemon.

Sandshrew and Oodramer were first. Mina knelt down to examine their glass-induced injuries. “Sorry about that guys, bad call on my part. You did great though, that Graveler would have done a lot more damage if you hadn’t gone after him. So thank you.” She hugged them carefully, sliming her vest in the process.

“I’ll call you back until the Center’s up and running again, okay?” She did so, then repeated the ritual with Pidgey and Pikachu—though as those two were in better shape, she left them out for the moment and set them to helping Jason watch the Grunt instead. Then she found Misty.

“Now that we’ve been in town for a bit and the worst that’s happened was a Bandra invasion—do you think we can bring the wagon in?”

----------------

Main Group:

Pellana chases down the other Grunt while the Elder catches his breath.

“Yes, we’re fine,” the Elder responds, winded but smiling. “These old bones just aren’t made for running anymore. I’m afraid I’ve missed out on most of the excitement…” he trails off. “And I’m afraid I don’t know your name, lass. Who are you? Not that we don’t appreciate your help, of course.”

Meanwhile Draloed’s Pokedex scans Pylus. After a moment it spits out a familiar message:

Ternai Assault Group, this is the Ternai Occupation Force,” crackles a voice over the radio. “Sorry, but we ran into some…technical difficulties.

Tech-ni-cal. Diff-i-culties?!” This time the voice comes from Grunt 4 in the other helicopter. He pronounces the words carefully, as though they’re in a foreign language. “What do you mean by that?!

“Yeah!” chimes in Grunt 6, who is now tending his feet—sliced and bleeding from running to the ‘copter barefoot. “We would’ve had those kids if you people could’ve bothered to show up!

We ah…took some damage to our fuel lines. Didn’t catch it until we took off. We’ve landed at Keida for repairs. Does the boss want us to go back to base then?

Wait, hold on a minute,” interjects Grunt 1 from the other ‘copter. “You mean to say all three ‘copters got a fuel leak at once? Come off it!

Well…no. One lost its steering coming out of the hanger and the other one lost its interior power halfway here.

“Maintenance guys are going to be in trouble when the big boss gets back,” Grunt 2 jokes.

The Occupation Force Grunt replies soberly, “The guys in charge of the hanger think it was sabotage.”

Main Group:

Stacey accompanies the Elder to the Pokemon Center; Mina and Misty retrieve the wagon from outside of town and bring it to the Center as well.

“What’s all this?” Nurse Joy asks.

“Pokemon we rescued from Team Bandra,” Mina explains. “Most of them belong to the Battle Festival Breeders, but we don’t know how to contact them. We figured you might. And here,” Mina fished out a particular Pokeball from one box as well as a couple of papers, then handed the items to the Nurse. “This one took a bit of damage during the fight to get them back, and will need to be fixed. And this is the inventory list; it should tell you what all is there.”

“Oh,” the Nurse takes both with a look of surprise. “Well in that case, I can trade you. I found this outside after the smoke cleared away.” She awkwardly fishes a folded bit of paper out of a pocket and shows it to the group.

“I think it’s what that Officer dropped.”

----------------

Tomy:

A few days ago you visited a small village on the coast during its annual Battle Festival. It began as an ordinary enough trip, but on the last day the village was attacked by the infamous Team Bandra. You and several others were captured and your Pokemon taken. Afterwards you were locked up in the town hall until Team Bandra decided what to do with you. Fortunately for you, the Grunts set to guard you were none too bright, and a brief distraction allowed you to escape.

From there you tracked the wagon holding your Pokemon to Dewdrop Forest, only to find that someone had beaten you to the punch: you found the Grunts transporting it defeated and no longer in possession of the stolen Pokemon. Backtracking, you followed the wagon’s trail through the forest, and eventually made your way to the Pokemon Center on its southern edge. Questioning the Nurse there, you were directed to Ternai Town.

And so it was after a solid six hours of foot travel that you arrived in this unassuming town.
