I'm a bit late for the party, but Mvass and JoonasTo are both right and wrong! Neon Genesis Evangelion has an appeal that crosses the limits of the archetypal target demographics. If I had to draw some broad lines I'd say: "nerds ages 12 and up."

You can't turn a manga into a not-animated movie. While it may technically have many similarities with the adaption of a "comic book" to a screen (like for example Batman or Spiderman) it still isn't the same. A manga is one big continous story line, it only has one Artist and one Author, thus having one very particular and unique feel to it. Needless to say that nothing of the like can be transferred by someone who simply wants to make money of something popular. And that's all this is. I weep for manga... even Bleach (eventhough it's kinda ridicolous... why is it so damn popular though? I mean sure the art is cool and the story and characters were also ok until Inoue got kidnapped but damn the whole combat business is just wrong oO).

Do you guys really want to see a live-action Bleach film? With the amount of ass-pulling in the series, it'd probably border on hardcore porn and not the good kind.

Ass pulling? Porn? All I know is Matsumotos rack but you the equivalent in EVERY manga. Or maybe I'm reading the wrong Bleach?
And I sure as hell don't want to see a live action bleach movie. But I still think it's a sad thing to happen to a manga. Even if it's Bleach.

Awesome video for berserk fans 
I started claymore anime and it's pretty good, a lot of slashing action and I like the art. That said the dialogue can occasionally be pretty retarded to the point you don't know if it deserves a facepalm or a hearty laugh. It reminds me of a mix between berserk and the witcher.
I also finished the original fma. I am conflicted, on one hand it had some very good moments and a decent alternative to the manga's story, on the other hand however you have to trudge through a huge pile of boring filler. If the storyline had a constant flow it would be better.
