Mass Slow and Frenzy ARE the biggest threats. Puppet sucks if your spellpower is low, period. Necro's Dark is VERY dangerous though, as they are the only one whom I can guarantee to have a Powerfull Blind and Puppet (though Academy + Motw and Sylvan + Channelled Rain of Frenzy are quite big Dark threats as well). Slow, Confusion and Frenzy are the big threats, as they can really cripple Stronghold. (even with low Spellpowers, like Inferno). The nasty thing is that Stronghold has NO chance of Countering them, no Cleansing and No Mass Light to help them. They only have First Aid.

@Lex: Level 3 or lower dark spells are simply crippled with Expert Shatter Dark, rendering them almost useless. 
However Shatter pretty much sucks for level 4 or 5 spells, only lowering the effectiveness by one mastery level. So yes Frenzy and Puppet are the biggest thread. Blind can be easily countered with Word of the Chief (both Hero's and Chieftain's)

Thats Sadly True... Mass Confusion would worked wonders vs Stronghold Esp. those pesky Centaur Nomads ]:->
Because Frankly I dont want to Involve in HTH combat With Them Orcs.... When you have Lvl 3 bloodrage fury and for example that neckles that gives you dmg even goblins are decent

You are wrong ... Mass Confusion and Mass Slow are still very, very effective against the orcs, even when shattered... Mass Suffering is the only one that takes a hit. But -30% initiative and -70% retaliation/ranged damage is still a big pain for the orcs.

i have a stupid question as i sure the answer is easy. but when i have my blood cyclops standing next to my goblins, how do i choose between melee and ranged attack?? whenever an enemy is close enough for me to go in for a melee attack, its like it forces me to use ranged. must be some way to choose a melee attack right? thanks!

You can always check the very useful Skill Wheel hosted at Celestial Heavens, which is also in the TotE expansion (look in folder with fan made material or something like that).
To answer your question, to get Ultimate Blood Rage, you need the Pendant of Mastery, which is a relic artifact and the only way you can get (any) Ultimate class skill.
To get Ultimate Rage perk, you need Excruciating Strike (Attack), Divine Guidance (Leadership) and Brimstone Rain (War Machines).

Leadership: Battle Elevation (aura of swiftness optional but a great asset for chargeing)
Attack: Retribution maybe tactics so you can charge?
Defense
Luck / a shatter
(For real games War Machines are always handy for creeping and logistic is a must have in general)
May rethink the Retribution part against a Dark user but apart from that that build is pretty solid (except maybe for luck).

No Dark Magic user is going to bother with casting Sorrow on everything. I'd be more worried about the Ring of the Broken Will or Necromancers trying to dampen your morale with the tools they got. But with Leadership and/or a good part of the Lion's set even that won't hurt Retribution much.
I would generally recommend Leadership for Orcs the most. Battle Elation and Aura of Swiftness are excellent talents for such an offensive-minded race.

Well I think Azagal mean that retribution may be turned against you by PM or Frenzy. Thats why taking retribution vs dark user needs consideration.
