Started new version. Some nice improvements here and there, however I still doubt others will find their way through the map

Am I missing something, or just can't get Misticism?

Please if you dloaded it not earlier than 2 hours should be ok. the version earlier than 2 hours ago doesnt work ;( the invaders dont move, and I fixed it. First page good version now. The good version must show this



"others" are finding very well the way. "The pacifist" is near the end and in middle 8th month.
Mysticism was removed

Hi.

Do you all Wogify this map? 'Cause in the beginning of it I get a message referring to the artifact Hourglass of Asmodeus. I don't have this artifact, but it keeps on working and if I run out of spellpower skill, the game crashes.

Do you read the install? All files must go in maps(you must have C:\Program Files\3DO\Heroes3\Maps directory). If you play in another language, you must change the path in the script "dat"...The game will never ask you to wogify then.

It's me again, now I have some wise thoughts to share as well.

-New design of zone with blue tent is overwheling, it's not likely to take it before month 5 which changes the gameplay and breaks the harmony. Defeat legions of creatures with no spells at all?
Also, once I did it, I found myself trapped. It takes 12 days for the mana to regenerate so I could cast Town Portal back to the ROME. Some unlocked well at the end would be helpful.

-The same is true about missing well in the desert in earlygame, where mana is low and army weak, also in swamps. I don't really think disabling mysticism was a good idea, it slows you down.

-Some variety in towns garrisons is very appreciated, although you need to find better balance of the amounts of creatures in there.

-What is the point of setting Legionnaires growth to 1? Never my favourite units, now they are totally useless and this time I don't buy them at all.

-The road to whirlpool could be more clear, for all this time I though it's just a decoration.

And vital question:

Where is Admiral's Hat?

I think you have an old version.(must take the new one, or the invaders will not move, thus game cant finish, sorry) An event near the blue tent gives 12 mana spell points.
Even month 3 battleing around the blue tent is not hard at all. You have spirit of oppression/clone/50xheal tents. In worst case you will lose a few units. Rememberthat tents can ressurect your units so lure the attackers with clones.

The problem with WoG mysticism new feature is that it resplenish 30% of mana every day. So you never run out of mana, which is not realistic at all. So: removed

the towns have now a big variety of garissons, check the last version.
The legionares have rate growth set to 1 because:
1) they are Maximus's speciality
2) some joiner Hero later will bring you thousands of them.

The whirlpool is hidden behind free passability trees. Not so difficult to find as you see it very well.

You will find necklace os sea guidance after killing the azure dragons in AZURIA (there where you get Intelligence expert) The sea captain hat can be found in seer hut after defeating Deemer.

Remember that some 2 way teleporters can lead to 2 different locations, even 3. Usually there is a sign which advice you about the number of possible locations

The LAST version was uploaded yesterday (see previous post) Sorry for posting another version, but a map as this one needs a lot of testing, the purpose of this thread. I think the last one is balanced and bug free. I completed it myself in 10 months.

Hi all.

I'm stuck in this map at a point where a quest guard requires me to kill some sorceresses. The only that i've managed to find are unreachable. How can I get there?

Those are not the ones you have to kill. They are unreachable in fact. You must fight the ones near the portal of glory dwelling guarding a cristal mine. You have to take a boat to get there. The boat is just south of the Dark tower.

Ok, once again some navigation issues down here:

1.Middle arena is guarded by light-blue border guard I can't touch anyway.
2.It says I should have Admiral's Hat before I go there.
3.I loose the hat on another quest guard.
4.Light blue tent is in Maximus' home, which is blocked by the black gate.
5.ATM I can't reach black tent at all. I hope it will be unlocked someday?
6.Guy in front of Deemer says I should get some support at Maximus' home.
7.You said black tent is not reachable until very late game.

So, what is the right way?

BTW, Deemer dies on month 6 week 4 so now that's not bad at all I  believe

I'm afraid after all I'll have to write down some walkthrought

All that is a bit confusing for me.

Lets see:
1)  Light blue tent is near maximus home, castle west. If you already killed Deemer that mean you CAN go through the "black gate" on the water. Go near and look better.

2)AH is obtained: barbarians, in a pandora box which looks as a conscript. It is hidden, but not so much -you get sea neclace; Near Deemer in Hut you get captain hat. Combine.
You will lose it on the way to Phoenix. Killing the phoenix gives you captain hat. NOW, the second sea necklace is guarded by azure dragons in AZURIA (just take the teleporter with "danger" near Solmyr town


3)see below

4-5) are you sure is black? When I see something saying "the power of illusion" I try to search whats wrong...(no script at all, mapmaking trick)

5) No , dark tent can never be reached so all players will fail to finish the map and cry on me joking

6)Yes, before Deemer better you go at the Castle named "Maximus'home". The fight with Deemer is hard and at home you find many creatures to join.

7) Indeed, it was a mistake in first edition. Black tent is the last one.

Once again I "warn" you: dont believe what you see, but what you touch. Many places are accesibles in this map but doesnt "look" so. Try to unlock the hidden paths. It takes a bit time, but you did very well if you killed Deemer month 6.

From month 7 save every 1rst day of the week. Many events will happen and they can ruin your strategy if you are not prepared.

You and all your illusions Really tricky. Especially mutliple sea artifacts suprosed me.

I cleared middle swamp island, but feel stuck. Elixir of Life area asks me for tons of artifacts I don't have, while other ways appear closed completely.
On swamp there is some snow falling, but no hidden teleport I was able to find.
Is this guy in prison useful in any way?

How that? First Camugus must give you the centaur axe. Thats a start. Second, you need evil hourglass. Maybe some sign can advice you?
Third you need scales of basilisk armor. If you look for hidden things, thats the area for (don't touch the sirens!)

All the other artefacts come from seer's huts. Then you have elixir of life which unlock the gate. Killing Atrimius then unlock another gate.

Look easy, no?

I wouldn't say that a guy with estates level 10 can not be useful. Why should I put in a prison a guy level 1 with scouting and diplomacy?

Store on them the bags of gold, you will need TONS of gold late game. Buy from market all bags of gold and store them on your secondary heroes.

I think I found a bug.

When at the very end I land on Aenain's island, one event says I'm attacked by Nymus and the other one by Attilla. I beat Nymus, but was not able to find Attilla at all.
Maybe he's just hidden somewhere in the far bushes and doesn't move at all like guy with Hydras, so please tell me his estimated location. Otherwise, triggers are messed up.

This is not possible. Nymus and Atilla dont attack in same time. When Atilla attacks, he spawns in front of Rome. He always show up, just look with some code if he is still underground. If not, that means he is somewhere and you have to find him. He has fly.The location of upcoming invaders is always showed by a large dark shroud around the event.So if you triggered Atilla Rome should be covered by shroud.


If you trigger both events in same turn (nymus/attila) pay attention to the fact that Attila CAN take the monoliths, while the others are scripted to ignore them. Chances are that Atilla went underground .

I hope you saved because Attilla is a hell of Boss.

I couldn't see anyone remaining in the invaders box. The Rome is covered indeed, but with "Show World" I was not able to find Atilla. Not to mention brown player end his turn immediately with no movement at all.
Also, he is said to be still alive, so he didn't step into any millions of dragons or behemoths.

Anyway, what codes work with WoG? I would like to reveal this map in the end.

EDIT: reloaded. Atilla dissapears as soon as I let him pass the turn, so the only way is to let him attack me standing in the middle of road. But the result is, ehm, not desired.
