Well yes it is 1) Graphics and 2) a lot more variety than in Gothic (never played it, but I read that you can't choose your character, race, etc, so it's a lot less variety in convos)

Funny how the narrator didn't get about it at all, probably he thought it wouldn't attract many people

Well the graphics should be obvious from watching a video, no need to explain them

What do you mean? Who said that this one is more complex in convos?

Do you think that because NWN was made before, we should never talk about the complexity of a convo in a game? What about new players that haven't played NWN? They have to know that this game has complex convos as well.

So, has any one tried it yet? I've played some, and must admit that I am not dissapoint (which is a mighty feat for any console based RPG)! Well, it's not good (saying that would be a kick in the balls for me), but it sure isn't bad!

First of, it's gameplay and character system sure is based on DnD, witj a lot of feats and based on six attributes. Nothing new yet. There are the elves, dwarves and the human. And there are for these three races, three classes. It's the rouge, fighter and mage. But later on you will unlock things like "prestige classes". When a character is good enough at something, you get the "prestige class". Like specialised rouges can become assassins and rangers or something like that.
Well, it certainly has a well developed lore and descent concpets for everything, as well as an, actually, typical story, but manages to make it interesting somehow.

I think I can summarize this with one word: flawless
And for those who think that flawless is the same as very good: You're not entirely right. It's just without fault, and just because it has no bad part, doesn't mean that they are automaticly good. So I think most people will enjoy playing this game, but I don't think it deserves any more.

Probably gonna get this for mah 360. I'll need to watch some more gameplay vids first though.

I'd get it for PC if I could cuz the construction set will probably make this game immortal.

Like Oblivion, I'm still playing it cuz there's always a new mod to try.

So far so good I suppose. Far from flawless but it has many nice little improvements over other rpgs, enough dialogue, simplified skill/talent system(at least compared to D&D) and you don't have to rest which is a big plus. I've had some funny exchanges with npcs, also like when members of my party randomly initiate dialogue.

So far I've found nothing wrong with it, but as I said that just means not bad... which doesn't mean good. There are a lot of things that could be a lot better, but there's nothing wrong with them. Like the leveling systems. There's nothing wrong with it, but it certainly could be better.

Personally I propably wont explore the game much more, as I am tired of the character development, movement, combat, tactics, leveling, actual roleplaying, as well as almost everything else. Mostly because I've played games that are exactly the same. So I'd love if you'd point things out and elaborate as much as possible. Please? *dog face*

Well, I do need to know a bit more than the age. Any way, it works on mine with 3Ghz single core CPU, 1GB RAM and NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GS. Well it runs... it's slow when there's a lot of stuff happening, but consider that my comp is rather old and will propably die of old age soon. Yours a lot younger, so it should work fine with the same specs.

EDIT: After playing some more I've encountered several flaws. Mainly the AI and that the combat system is a bit... eh? Stiff. If some one raises their weapon and you back of, they can wave their weapon in an empty space, and you, standing 30 feet away, dies.

The AI is very single minded and stupid, as well as being way single targeted. Once they target a unit it's hard to make them change your mind. This is easy to use by luring them into an ambush with one of your character, then running in a circle around the rest of your units, letting them bash the unit as it runs in a circle around them.

Having a game of this kind, supposedly combat oriented as well as tactics, these are MAJOR flaws. The AI and combat is almost exactly the same as, for example Baldurs Gate and that one of the three most important parts of a game (made by a company with many big titles in the same genre) gaven't improved noticibly in about ten years.

I have a core 2 duo, 2.0 GHz with 2 GB ram.  Video card is a nvidia Go 7900 GS.  I checked out the specs for the game and my PC is above the minimum but below the recommended.
Anyone with a rig similar to mine try to run the game?  As a reference, my PC struggled a wee bit with Crysis but Halflife2 ran perfectly.

I made a crossbow-wielding dwarf rogue and noticed my damage seemed unusually crappy even though stat-wise it looked like a fair rival with the bow. I was disappointed and thought this might be yet another historically inaccurate game where the crossbow is a piece of garbage and the bow is the best thing ever. I did a brief search and it turns out there's a bug with the Xbow and it doesn't benefit from your dex in the way that it should. So luckily it looks like it will be a feasible option in this game.

Just a heads up in case anybody decides to make an archer.

Oh, and not to get wrapped up in soulless power gaming, but also, mages are overpowered in this game (when aren't mages overpowered?). So it might be worth considering when you start the game depending on if you want it easier or not.

@Corribus: Well, those are all about twice of mine, so there shouldn't be too much trouble with low graphics. Might lag a bit when in the bigger battles.

They are very weak in Arcanum. Overhyped, but weak in Baldur's gate trilogy. (Yes, I know your solo sorceror can beat the game. So can any other class. Kensage remains the strongest class in that game). Mediocre in dungeon siege 2, archers being much better. Decent, but not overpowered in Titan Quest. Weak in Neverwinter nights 2. Etc.

And if the game is another horribly balanced rpg, I really don't want to play it. :/ So, how's the balance?

I can't say that I've come very far with all classes and races, but mages is very overpower (high damage, high "life" as well as having ranged attacks, area damages and a lot of other advantages). Maybe they'll grow weaker later in the game, while rangers/thieves often need a lot of experience before being good. So far though: unbalanced. Another big flaw!

Why don't you want to play a balanced game?
