you are sure they are NCFs, and not just modified haven creatures? if they are supposed to be in haven, they don't need to be NCFs

Of course, they are NCF. I don't want them to be in standard Haven town, but they may be one of the altupgrades in hill fort or even neutral.

i wonder is it so hard to make serpent fly? people create creatures that aren't so exciting, but nobody makes serpent fly from heroes 3

good question, especially since there is this creature in the world of ashan, it already appears in "the duel of champions"

I think heroes 5 modding are dead, there are not much people interested in the proces or result, the game itself are rapidly obsolete, and to be honest modding of this game never was easy compare to the other games, and even with all complication the list of what modders can change was far from satisfying, no matter how hard we would try we are still very limited in modding

are giving a soooooo much ideas that can be used in moding and nobody uses them at all

well, partly, probably, it would. I mean I would really like to see qualitative freshly made project - short campaign or at least map featuring new story creatures heroes or any other stuff. I don't care if it would be about doc or not. all i want to see good product and perhaps help make one, since i can't do it myself

for example jedi academy or any tes game has at least one major project that try to keep (or even increase) quality of the source game... damm even heroes 3 has it
for heroes 5 it seems like everybody satisfied with half baked models and overgrown disbalancing characteristics
simple example - the program for import completly rigget model in to heroes 5 has already been made why nobody use it? I gues it took a long time for it's creator to made the program but in the end nobody need such useful stuff... why everybody still combaing the models? it's not the way good stuff are being made...
don't get me wrong some stuff are great but there was never to much of them to form big project

I guess there answer is simple. Why there is no big qualitative mod? because there is no auditory that interested in it, so the question

heroes 5 is more like a good memories for now... not a game that has a live community of fans that awaits for a huge mod and keep the game alive

sure, there were, but if take whole mod not some parts of it, than it is obvious that none of them was qualitative enough (at least as far as I know) all had a major minus among the pluses
and there is no new recently made mods, and the most promising are probably will end dead or half finished

yeah, most of them were never finished. cytadel was very promising but released with several glitches and I don't know if it was ever finished. fortunately most of those glitches were easy to fix.

I think my refuge town had a high level of quality, for when it was released.

minuses are usually in model working and visual part
most of mods using combining models that already were in the game instead of creating their own, retexture is usually cheap too, most people just satisfied with adding some detail or recoloring the old texture, rather than creating new one detaly made

pluses are usually script working and all those skills and stuff, sometimes concept of the mod itself is kinda cool
i mean i so mods in which scripts do a realy fantastic stuff

about your refuge town sorry but I didn't say it's hight quality
it is satisfying, and has really good parts (like firs level unit) ideas (like making a human town screen on orc base, balancing, or like the plot itself) but it has awful stuff as well (like 6 level unit which supposed to be stone but doesnt look like one or moves like one (i can't realy remember does it sounds like stone creature although)) so sorry, i'm not trying to insult you, it's just my opinion

and about town mods there is a big problem for all of them that has no solution yet, i talk ofcourse about the way of ading new town in the game without replacing old ones (I tryed to do it myself for a long time but yet has only partly succeeded)

o, didnt mentioned this first time, yeh probably three years ago it look a lot nicer but now it could be done much better

sure it's not up to the current standard, which would be your sanctuary town I guess. but when I made it, I think the standard was the conflux town.

actually, the tier 6 gargoyle weren't really my favourites, though, I thought it looked like stone. I don't really know how stone statues are supposed to move, never seen one in real life

This mod is very good,but i have a problem.My editor is can't see the ncf creatures (i use ncf map editor)I installed the mega pack and ncf and i have toe 3.1.
And some body have the Ncf editor and can send me a woorking link?
