And of course armageddon/cotn heal magnetics, I've known for a long time. And it's no easy win, there is magical immunity, mini arties, elemental protection or resistance arties, charging first, fire resistance and so on and so forth. There will be no magic bans for separate factions, the armies are strong enough to withstand many casts and there are many counters as well.
Had some good games with Arcax as academy, will be adding some replays a little later. Unless he gets to it first While I did make some mistakes because I was tired academy seems to find battles pretty challenging so there will not be no academy pwnage unless luck favours you - academy abusers beware!

I talked with Zilo and he agreed that I have removed the more imbalanced stuff where it comes to artifacts. Initially he thought that apart from haven, sylvan and dwarves would have trouble against academy but he didn't know I had removed the pendant of mastery - situations like att/def/init arties on most units are no longer possible. The expected knowledge for a wizard right now is somewhere between 18 to 20+ which should be decent enough. Another comment was on the windstrider boots that he got on sylvan but that was from the random starting artifact, it's pretty rare. And of course the unicorn horn bow that I pretty much agree is imbalanced.
However.
What isn't really? Dungeon can potentially get phoenix cape with sar issus robe. Necro can get cloak of death' shadow with ring of the unrepentant. Orcs can get armor of forgotten hero with boots and resistance skill. And so on. Is it likely? Not but sith happens and some randomness is to be expected when you enable artifacts - I'm pretty sure you prefer this way to before.
My intent when I created the updated version was to simulate an endfight that would be likely to see on a map where you can attack week 5. If you get your butt kicked in a map you can't complain on the balance and ask for tweaks, you play your best and let Lady Luck decide the outcome The typical imbalances a map can have are creeping/garrison/resource issues that are not present here, the only thing of concern was the power of racials. At the moment they should all be sufficiently tweaked so let it be decided on the battlefield!

I agree, a lot of combinations are very nasty so if we complain each time about that, we'll end up with zero artifacts left unbanned.

As an outsider, I'd just add its so easy to go too far with the banning and nerfing. Sometimes someone is going to get really lucky in artifact combinations and own because of it. If there was money or a life at stake, okay..but this is just for fun! And the randomness is a great part of the fun. So enjoy and PLEASE POST REPLAYS. Some of us love to watch.

Already? Good work, those paladins could do with a mark and excruciating strike I don't see how else you could keep them in low numbers, maybe if the pitlods cad stolen the retaliation so that the other inferno units surround and start hitting it.

A fast dungeon victory thanks to some cheap & common elemental artifact… We knew that would happen, just like we all know academy is going to rule, but bleh who cares? We’re playing for fun anyway .
EDIT: Phoenix, I will be able available from 15:30 to 18:00 (GMT+01) today.

I feel you but considering this is a simulation of end games you'd have to agree that the chances of a Dungeon with a elemental artefact is pretty damn high, so don't be too hard on that point. And I'm way to unexperienced to make an actual comment on the stregth of Academy .
Anyways you can always agree to simply not use the faction can't you? I know I'd agree.

Robe of Sar Issus + Enlightment = 22 spell power
Warlocks luck (which was very hard to obtain) + 5 luck = GG
(but it doesn't triggered...)

So are you telling that Dungeon is overpowered in normal games? I mean, apart from creeping (which is EASY with Dungeon, so no problems there), this is like a normal week 5 game, isn't it?

Noo he's just a bit pessimistic The opposite could have happened with the opponent getting shield of crystal ice or something similar. What I have to say though is that necro vs dungeon is a hard game, it requires a more skill from the necro part than it does for the warlock.
