the original ghostbusters were an all-male cast for the heroes. this one will be an all-female cast for the heroes. who cares? personally, i'd rather see an all-xenomorph cast, of heroes. or villains, whichever one would be more hilarious.
I'm pretty much inclined to agree with you there, the feminist angle never hit me to begin with until I saw some comments, news and reaction videos, but it was interesting to note nonetheless and I quite give it some validity while at that. But personally I think the biggest flaw I can see from the trailer is how the movie will fail to capture the Ghostbusters' spirit. Angry Joe got it pretty well in his reaction.

I'm all for a female cast but the whole setup just looks terrible.

Oh come on now. So then there's no valid display of opposition towards feminist intoxication, misunderstood / overblown political correctness or whatever you wanna call it, because it's "the internet" and an overwhelming population of 500.000 people all happen to be trolls.
I'm just basing my opinions on the trailer, so maybe I'm out of the loop here, but what the hell is toxically feminist about the movie? I suppose this also means that the original movies were chauvinistic because they featured four comical men?
You don't have to like the movie if you don't want to, but accusing people of political correctness and radical feminism for featuring a female cast is hypocrisy.

Stevie said:Just saw this Ghostbusters 2016 trailer, and I couldn't help but notice how it has almost 500.000 dislikes compared to the 200.000 likes, most of the comments blaming overblown feminism with the all female cast. Just how great is that? The movie's bound to be rubbish anyway by the looks of it and with the massively unfavorable opinion, what's keeping Sony away from canceling the whole thing?
Because this movie is getting released in 3 months. It's deep into postproduction and saying "ok guys, people don't like the trailer, let's halt the production when we've already spent 100 milion bucks on it" doesn't make any sense from business perspective. Besides, the cast is not a problem. All four main actresses are very good in playing comedic roles, so the fault is not on their side. The trailer itself seems uninspired and an all-male cast wouldn't change that at all.
PS. "Rogue One" trailer is getting released today. I'm so excited!

Bullseye, +1.
I saw two of the trailers. Seems like another mediocre and unnecessary remake to milk the cash-cow but the cast did not seem out of place. The original Ghostbusters is not a masterpiece to begin with anyway, so there's not much to ruin here. It was just a fun movie in the right place, right time. Maybe, this remake is not so... in the right time. Everybody is already fed up with how unoriginal Hollywood is becoming in these recent years. We're certainly not in a golden age of cinema.
It looks like "A New Hope." People responsible for production design did a fantastic job. Fun fact: Genevienne O'Reilly, who plays Mon Mothma in this movie, played her in Episode III. However, most of her scenes were cut out, so we barely see her in "Revenge of thr Sith."

Sums up what I think perfectly.
Rogue One actually looks pretty good. Call me hyped.

Actually, movies have been my ultimate cure for years. Now I feel like I don't want to watch them anymore. The latest movie I watched (once more) was Dead Poets Society.
Just watched Hardcore Henry. I was entertained! It is nuts lol, but like some people have said is less of a movie and more of an experience.
