The late Christopher Lee still had that awesome voice for count Dooku. Although I wish the count had a better name

Looking strictly at his lightsaber, the hilt was curved; he was the only one so far to sport a curved one.

I was talking about a lightsaber, not ... something else.

Besides, I don't think I want to know what you're sporting ...

If the new star wars ends up good that would be great due to the vast amount of people looking forward to it and its great and progressive casting.

On the other hand I will never ever EVER hear the end of it ever in a million billion gazillion years, something I could potentially look forward to in case the movie turns out terrible

...I hope it turns out a bigger disappointment than the prequels.

I have just one question: why? Is it because of retconning of the EU? Or something else?

I don't think there's anything memorable about Christopher Lee's performance, not that it was in anyway bad, but Count Dooku was a fairly forgettable character. Some guy with a red light saber. He gets a lot shorter 15 minutes into the 3rd episode, and that's the end.

Palpatine in the first three episodes did a great job, but he was still surrounded by a sea of suck. Anakin started out annoying in the 1st episode, and became progressively more annoying with each new episode.  Jar Jar was a disaster. The queen was 'okay' but still grossly inferior to her snappy, irritable daughter in episodes 4-6. C3PO and R2D2 had no reason to exist. Especially C3PO, whose role mostly hinged on his comical relationship with Han Solo. In the first three episodes he was white noise on the screen... needlessly congesting the script with traffic. Yoda was far more interesting as a venerable, senile sage than his less inspiring appearance in the new episodes. Mace Windu was boring. I guess I liked his purple light saber, though I would have liked it more if it had a crossguard.

Over half the cast was flawed. The ones that stood out as authentic were Palpatine, Obi Wan (both young Obi Wan and older Obi Wan), Qui Gon, and Darth Maul (didn't say a single word to anybody in the movie except to Palpatine .) Qui Gon and Darth Maul both got sacked in the 1st episode.

Friggin light saber choreography in episode 1 was amazing.

You don't think this is the best 2 minutes of script in movie history?

This is the only part of "Star Wars" saga that I watch with Polish dubbing on. To be honest, I don't feel I've lost anything by doing so. I'll go one step further and say that the dubbed version beats the original. Thankfully it seems that Daisy Ridley and John Boyega seem to be able to express emotions properly or at least better than Mr. Christensen.

Because the damn franchise has already swallowed up like 5 pages here.

3 pages! Make it stop, please!

I just want to go a week without hearing snow about Star Wars and that is never gonna happen if the movies are anything but massively disappointing.

I usually have at least one thing to disagree with your posts but not in this case. I could have said the above myself. It also sums up one of the prequel trilogy's main problems - overcrowded with underdeveloped characters and otherwise great actors hired because they are great, not because they are needed. I would dispose of all the Christopher Lees - not replace, remove entirely from the script - just to find a decent Darth Vader and the quality will only improve.

For me it's a little different since I watched all six films when I saw still a kid, and enjoyed the originals far more.

Just watched 22 bullets and Winter's Bone.
Both are really recommendable.

22 Bullets have some really violent scenes and has the same atmosphere as the brilliant " Gomorra - La serie " . Jean Reno is (also) sooo cool in this movie.

Winter's Bone is really scary on many levels and it paints an even more sinister picture of "hill people" than the series " justified" does.
Jennifer Lawrence really shines ( amongst others ) in this movie.

They really need to make a spoof movie off of the first three episodes. There is so much soundwave-rich content to exploit.

Man from U.N.C.L.E. was fun but not as much fun as I expected it be. It started out real good but then things just went downhill, well, not exactly downhill but I usually love Guy Ritchie films and this was no Snatch. You can say it's a tribute to the 60's spy movies, an adaptation of a TV show from the period that I've never seen or even heard of myself. The finale was very much implying a sequel and their chief said the next stop was Istanbul. That would be something I'd like to see.
