I'm bad at finding things. By the end of month 3 I didn't discover anything usunual neither completed any quest.
What is the deal with commander gems that have strong guards and give pretty much nothing in reward?

I have never used the henchman feature in normal WoG, so I really don't know what it is about.
Could anyone elaborate what a henchman is and what it does?

@Warmonger: if you choose "commanders have all skills", then gems will give nothing you don't already have. Usually gems give +1 in skills you don't have. You said you prefer free for all maps, now find things without having a linear path
Quests are coming if you go for them. Have you got water walk? Have you visited emerald towers and palace of dreams? Have you visited the city in ruins? Have you visited hut of wisdom? The lighthouse? They are there, but 3rd month is pretty early, so you have time. Kill others first, as it is a condition for main quest.
@Angelito: it is like a second commander, but much stronger, and can level faster and improve in numbers. So you have 3 commanders, each one with its specific skills, that you choose when leveling. When having let's say 23 creatures in the henchmen group, if one die, all group dies after battle and can be resurrected in town for money.

@Nevter: you must equip the ring the enchanter gave you and visit all witch huts on the map. At the last one you will find the wife and need to survive 20 rounds, then she joins you. Get back to the enchanter to get your reward.

@Lizard Warrior: Remember you can also increase growth in towns by building the upgraded version of the dwelling, then when in the town screen clicking the town`s portrait, choosing the dwelling you want to improve growth of and spending the resources on it. You can do it once per day, and the growth increments depend on the level of the creature. I would say doing increments on fairy dragons or hydras would get you pretty far, especially considering you (probably) can upgrade hydras to hell hydras at hill forts.
@Salamandre: About the henchman, I`m experiencing something strange. I'm using the blood dragon as my regular WoG henchman and a firebird >sacred phoenix as my map-specific henchman.
At first the blood dragon's entire stack died after the first of the stack got killed, like it's supposed to, but after reaching level 15 or so, his stack started to survive, even after having some of the stack killed. When that happens, he only survives till the end of the battle, though, and when it's over, it shows him as being dead.
The firebird henchman on the other hand, ever since he got over level 1, can have it's stack reduced but not die, even after the battle is over (and the size of the stack gets restored to the henchman`s level at the start of the next battle, too). I'm not sure if this is intended behaviour, but it's rather strange for henchmen.

The most f***king think,I played with Azarel, month 2,week 2 and secret race.I attacked a legion of gremlins,I sayed it will be an easy fight,2 stack of 450 gremlins and 450 master gremlins.I attack they with werewolf and surprise:Lycantrophy day.So from 450 m.gremlins 888 werewolves,it was quite hard to defeat them

I'm not a big fan of werewolves, but when I do use them, I prefer to just attack monsters which are tougher than werewolves themselves with them, for that specific reason. They're a bit counterproductive to use on weaker units.

@Angelito: you are right, the flag. My fault
It is explained in WoG options, but maybe we should add it again in the map help options, as the henchmen is not much used in other maps.

But using werewolve has an advantage. If your commander is brute, normally you can get very little money after a battle, even you kill many creatures and reinforcements, because the HP of creature is increasing every week, but the experience you get is not increased from them. But if your werewolve bite them into werewolves, the werewolves will be much more, and you will get more experience.

True, but getting XP isn't much of an issue in this map. Gold on the other hand can come in handy, but I think there's better ways of obtaining it without risking losing a lot of your troops (unless you're already very well prepared to handle enormous werewolf stacks, in which case you'll hardly still need the gold, anyway).

Money is a big problem in this map. You will need much money to increase the growth rate of your dwelling in your towns and upgrade your cities. You will need much resourse to visit emerald towers.
Many player like to change the commander of the main hero to Brute to get more money.

Do emerald towers in this map work like regular WoG ones, or is there any way of using it more than once? One of the AI leaders is camping next to one, not sure why, though.

Started again (and again, and again). Can't resist the feeling I'm getting too little for too hard battles. With x3 multiplayer, yes, I can defeat a legions surrounding the castle in first month (with Orrin), but then I got stuck against legion of Archmagi and can't get anything more to improve the army. After a battle which resulted in loosing all the troops... nothing seems to have changed. Nothing to pick, nothing to improve. And there are even worse threats ahead.
Am I missing something?
What is the deal with searching the well? It never gave me anything.
