Hamachi does not require anything. it's a virtual server. up to 4 people can join using the free version

you can always disable the adapter after you stop using it without any issues

I tried with the latest version of the HD patch, and also with previous versions as linked in the previous pages (here it's 4.205 RC4). Sometimes the error message change but it's mostly the same : Compability folder.

Anyone have a clue ?

Solution is: game CAN NOT BE installed in C://Program Files or Program files (x86) directory. Choose anything else as game folder.

I tried 800x600 in the launcher and I still get the window combat screen. So is fullscreen combat only possible without HD Mod?
I am playing on a relatively small laptop, so a bit larger window size for combat would help.

can I help someone to improve simultanous turns with more than 2 players?
Currently playing a game with 3 human players, but every ~3rd round the simultanous turns are interrupted, although we are not even close to each other and sometimes resulting in lost turns/undone visits from objects.

Hello everybody.

I am playing GOG HOMM3 Complete with HDMOD and HotA on a Win10 laptop.

I want to randomly generate XXL maps for the vanilla game. I can play them, but I can't create them. I am not really interested in all the HotA changes to the game, whereas I like the HD Mod quite a lot.

I have tried to use the XXL patch to no avail. And, according to the XXL thread, HD Mod no longer supports it, even though HD Mod supports XXL maps. I need HD Mod to play the game because it's critically unstable without it and also won't play sound.

Any work around for this?

Bug fix - classic timer dissapears after loading a multiplayer game

Hello dear Heroes 3 friends,
on behalf of the Czech & Slovakia Heroes 3 league (www.heroes3.cz) I would like to ask the Heroes 3 HD mod creator to fix a bug that sometimes happens to us in league and tournament games.

We often play with classic timer and sometimes when the game is interrupted and players need to load a save, the timer completely dissapears. The game contines with no time limit, which is a problem.

We are not sure why it happens. At first we thought its because sometimes we use non-standard map templates, but then it happened in few standard templates too (h3dm1).

Also we would like to ask if you can bring the setting: "Start timer after pressing OK" back.

Thank you very much. We are small community but we still highly appreciate your great work on Heroes 3.

You are missing a check in your code after dismissing creatures from town when you have no active hero.

I noticed in the update to the HD 5.0 RC53, the short cut keys to divide armies and the hero-to-hero screen interaction short cuts trading artifacts, or units don't work anymore like the HD 4.0 version

Does the HoMM3 HD mod work with the Heroes Chronicles games? I'm hoping so as they were built with the SoD version of the HoMM3 engine.

No. But you can get the Chronicles campaigns run as custom campaigns in  SoD/HotA.

Hi all.

HD+ in town view does not allow to change towns using arrows on keyboard.
With HD+ turned off in Mod setup arrows in town view are working fine.

I have installed fresh copy H3 Complete from GoG (v.4.0) and newest HD Mod (v.5.0 RC51) and played it vanilla with no other mods installed.

I've been having the same issue for a long time and I found a solution : I needed to re-download the IFC20.DLL  Once I installed the last hdmod (5.0 RC54) I just had to replace the dll present in the install folder by this one : (http://fr.dllyes.com/ifc20-dll/) and voila, the game sudenly worked

Hi folks! Last night I was playing with my friends and I came up with a couple of ideas. I don't recall hearing anyone talk about it, so here I go:

1) It might be interesting to add a "Delete map" button to the Scenario selection window. I've found myself several times agreeing with my friends that there are some scenarios we just don't like. I guess it is as easy as browsing for the map in the maps folder of the game and erase it, but the truth is that in those moments, when you are just having fun and chilling out with friends, you simply don't remember to erase the map afterwards (or you are too lazy to quit the game momentarily to get rid of that map and then resume fun). And after some time we've found ourselves tripping on the same rock over and over again ("hey, wait! wasn't this that lousy map?")  Perhaps it's just me, but in case some people feel familiar with these lines, some "delete map" button might be welcome.

2) Kind of related to the previous paragraph, if you play a RGM and eventually happen to love the map that's been created, it might be nice to be able to save that map (not your game, but the scenario itself) in order to replay it some other time or even share it with other people. There could be some sort of "save scenario" button somewhere on the setup window, or the scenario information window, and the scenario would be saved into the maps folder with whichever name you give it. Perhaps you could even set some stuff up, like available towns or some brief background for the events taking place, once you hit the "save map" button.

Thanks for all the good stuff you guys bring to us!


PS: As important an action as space bar is (trigger the current tile object), I've always been amazed that it has no clickable button anywhere.

I think all created random maps are already stored within:
3DOHeroes 3 Completerandom_maps
at least I have many maps there named after the date and players.

I got small bug problem
after last update of SoD_SP plugin Shift+LMB does not work as it was before

[Shift] + Click – ‘smart’ split, ignores single creatures. Splits creature stack proportionally. You can split stack into even halves in 1 click, or split one stack into many even stacks. This option does not disable the default creature split: to do the default creature split with [Shift], you need to first select the stack, and then press shift .


Now is working more like default splitter

1 stack of 100 units
SHIFT+LMB
2x stack of 50 units
SHIFT+LMB
1 stack of 50 units 2 stacks x 25 unitis

Would be nice to get some info i can't figure it out whats going on ... everything seems to be working fine
Creature split is turned off so HD mod features should work
