also what is the latest version of HD mod that supports Era v2.47?

With regards to the Tavern Invite Hero, would it be possible to simply extend the Tavern screen and display all available Heroes to the right or something, where you can click to select it? Or perhaps a means to select the available Town types before selecting the Hero of that particular Town?
Anything would be better than the side-scrolling through all those Heroes until you’ve found the one you’re looking for.

Im not the PC crack.. Therefore I don´t think it exist an introduction or an video how to install the HD Mod with using wine?

Find your Heroes of Might and Magic 3.app that you created with the PortingKit.
Right click and select Show Package Contents.
Run Wineskin.
Click Install Software.
Click Choose Setup Executable.
Select the HD Mod installation file wherever you saved it and follow the prompts as it installs.
When it is done, go back to the Wineskin menu and select Advanced.
In the Configuration tab, change your Windows EXE by clicking browse and navigate to HD_Launcher.exe
Perform a Test Run to make sure it works.
NOTE: 32-bit True (stretchable) GDI gives me a white screen so I use 32-bit True.
I do some changes to the Tweeks but they are not required to get things running.
Hey guys. I followed this and successfully installed base game but when I installed HD Mod the play button is greyed out once launched. Does anyone know a fix for this?
I just had to create HD exe so fixed, my bad for not trying things before posting.

when map is loaded for new game there is a dialog window asking to choose between default and custom alliances
is it possible to disable it?
failed to find respective option in tweaks file...

Salamandre: question is what particular option in WoG or Era disables alliances dialog during initial scenario loading
it does not show up in HotA contrary to my memory so its not a HDmod-related question

Hd mod has nothing to do with wog options
Open wog options then uncheck that option

Sorry if I'm posting in the wrong section, as a new account won't let me create a new thread.
I'm having problems with the HD mod.
I have the latest version, HoMM3 HD 5.0 RC61.
I have Windows 8.
I have HoMM3 Complete from GOG installed.
I first got the error message.
"You should run HD3_Launcher.exe first after HoMM3 HD installation. If you ran HD3_Launcher.exe with no effect try to run it as administrator."
I right clicked and clicked "Run as administrator" but nothing happened when I clicked "Play". It showed a blue circle loading, but then stopped with nothing opening. I tried again and again but the same problem happened.
I'm desperate to play in windowed mode. 
I will check up on this thread each day, even though my account's new.

Alright, after fiddling with this thing, I got it working. I'll explain how I did for anyone else who runs into this problem. I suggest adding a sticky so people can find it.
This is the the latest version, HoMM3 HD 5.0 RC61, for Windows 8, 64bit.
After installing, I right clicked HoMM3 HD.
Clicked on "Properties".
Clicked on "Compatibility".
Under "Settings", ticked the box saying "Reduced color mode" and selected "16-bit (65536 color".
Clicked "Apply", then clicked "OK".
Right clicked HoMM3 HD and clicked "Run as administrator".
Chose windowed mode settings and clicked "Play".
It now starts and allows me to run in windowed mode without a problem.

HD mod won´t work
Hi, I´ve been using HD mod for a few months now. Yesterday there was an update, so I okayed it, the game closed itself and it seemingly "deleted" itself. Now, when I try to install HD mod again, there is an error message saying "an error occured while trying to rename a file in the destination directory:MoveFile failed, code5".
I tried deleting all HOMM3 files and installing it again, disabling antivirus and even disconnecting from internet, but nothing helps. Do you have any idea what might be the issue?

today i have update hd mod to 5.0 RC 64. I see some new update in stretch filter and now game play so lag. i can not play smooth.... hope team can fix this issue in next update.

There's only few settings to choose. Try all of them and choose the best for you personal needs.

Man, the scale filters have been under construction for awhile. Does anyone have some info on it? I have an awesome gaming computer so I'm looking for something that'll provide the best quality.
EDIT: That and render threads?
