For an Elite wolf I'll accept nothing less than this:
A beast riding a beast with a chick on the back - that's what the Elitism is all about. Could even be a Champion. Currently the Dire Wolves are a disgrace though.

Quote: I'm sure it was already discussed and I've missed it, but is it safe to assume the other light elemental thing on the Christmas tree is a Haven boss, since we have all 8 neutrals now?
I think there are 10 neutrals now.
That Christmas tree....it's bugging me a little, the two creatures left on it to be shown look like the Light and Water elementals....remember that boss fight video of the Mother Namtaru? There was a battle on some lilli-pads with "Water elemental" as description of enemy. People mentioned this was a place-holder for the time, but the crown was gold of the creature. On the Christmas tree there are two similar looking creatures: the spring spirit and the water elemental, the difference being that gold crown...
Something else, remember one of the first screenshots of the game with Svetlana commenting:
"Pure is the Unicorn, noble is the Stag and always hungry is the Wolf....."
Was this comment meant in any way as a hint about the Wolf neutral...or even maybe a future Unicorn or Stag?

I would like someone to set things right for me: maybe it has been asked before (I just do not have the time nor the patience to read all previous posts) but ... aren't there supposed to e six neutral elementals? I've seen only four, and, curiously enough, the two that are missing could be (as I see it) in two existing factions, namingly Haven and Sanctuary (the Glories and the Spirit/Mizu Kami). Will we have other Water and Light Elementals? Or will these serve as equivalents? Please set the record straight for me, as it is much of a blur.
Also, I would like one of you computer geniuses to help me out. I am not positive that my computer fulfils the minimum system requirements, so I ask of you to confirm or infirm my hypothesis. My computer:
Intel Core i7 CPU Q720 @ 1.60 GHz
4.00 GB RAM
NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 425M GPU (1GB VRAM)
Thank you all in advance .

Regarding the water and light elementals, I don't believe these are within the factions (i.e. the spring spirit and glory). It might have been the initial thought, but perhaps they changed it after all the responses. The female human form is also very different from how the other elementals look.
The crown is the difference in the chirstmas tree, but if you look at the Mizu-Kami she has a crown, it's just not golden.
The only thing making me a bit worried are the wolfs. Using the same model proves that they are indeed capable of coming up with such an idea and implementing it. But I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt this time around, and assume the elementals are awesome, and not copies of other "beloved" creatures.

You are way over the minimal requirements, so no worries there

No, this is Sveltana explaining who she will crush first (Wolf Duchy).

Diplomat and Mentoring are rank 2, and perhaps they should be. Having diplomat early on would make creeping too simple, and mentoring isn't really that great in the beginning.
Pathfinder being rank 1 is a different issue. I'm guessing this is a step in the direction of getting rid of secondary heroes. But if this includes no movement penalty in getting in and out of boats it's really broken as a rank 1 skill.
I'm sure we'll have skills that increase hero movement over land and reduce rough terrain penalty.

Pathfinder looks pretty useless but Mentoring is another story. That'd be a good way to "cultivate" secondary heroes. Nice skill.

SO they basicly changed the snatching ability from Heroes V and used as Pathfinder. Why? Pathfinder was one of the original secondary skills.

Pathfinder - will be useful in the early game stage when you gather resources. In the late game (20 lvl) just respec. Probably another ability will be added to replace the traditional “reduce movement penalty” for some terrains.
Mentoring – as Zenofex said very useful to develop quickly a secondary hero.
Diplomat – I'm really wondering how much is powerful this time

Let´s wait until we have seen all the might skills before embarking the whine-train shall we?
Just because pathfinding now works as snatch in H5 doesn´t mean that another skill couldn´t have those properties. And frankly, even if there is no skill that reduces terrain penalties they could just have swapped it for more artifacts or even mounts.
That could hardly count as "dumbing down".
