Great update! I'm really excited to see what comes next.

The Inferno creatures turned out a LOT better than I expected, especially the Mother Breeder. Very impressive. I definitely need to reiterate that I really, really like that they brought the art style away from HV's and back to the series' roots.

Only thing that worries me is the Glory's hair.

wow I LOVE this update and it means I have my own thread to update a lot aswell

but wtf will they give us now? we got all creatures except the naga now

cmon give us gameplay videos and town screens

also I really hope its true that we cant see special effects because I was really disappointed at how some creatures looked (pit lord, GLORIES!)

Actually, I rather liked the Pit Lord.  But you're right, a lot of these units would be helped immensely by special lighting effects.

The models have effectively dulled any doubts I may have had about the units in this game.  I haven't seen a single one that I legitimately didn't like.  The Glories I still think are silly with their spirally unitards, but even that will be helped by extra lighting.

I find the Stronghold "catapult" really awesome, funny that people generally doesn't like it. Oh well.

New models on homepage are also interesting. Breeder is excellent as expected; Glory sux even more than expected. Will be interesting to see ingame shot of her indeed. Also, I think I can now say for sure that new Inferno is going to be far from my favorite.

 Well can't say much regarding the map editor for the Heroes series as the only experience I have whit map making is from Disciples 2, but when I tried the H5 one it was really bothersome the whole 3D environment was confusing the soil and sky mixing couldn't find which is which so it was an unpleasant experience (happened when I zoomed out and all became one big globe of chaos).
So I guess my only requirements would be:

  1. Some anchored concepts ground is set in a welcome menu you just chose the size and if it has underground or not (maybe chose the percentage of the water mass)
  1. Easy implementations of event trigger.
  2. Trigger can be from sound, movie (Machinima) to story scripts (similar to H4)
  3. Intuitive menu (I guess any one has different opinions but some menu's are universally recognizable)
  4. Easy import and load of finished and unfinished projects and save (mostly because map making takes time so having a single file like concept for projects and maps makes it easier to manage and work with than a different file for events, objects, units etc.)
  5. Some core concept for AI scripting or better put behavior (explorer, warrior, defender) which can be tweaked and modified (best example that comes in mind is the NwN2 AI settings like use offensive spells first in a battle or defensive  etc.) and also taking in consideration the difficulty level the player will choose (an easy warrior will attack whit moderation and will lose some units while a impossible warrior would attack often but tries to lose as less as possible units or non at all)
  6. If I mentioned Machinima I guess that there would be persons how would like to fiddle around whit the concept but is not an essential part of the game editor still some  movies in M&M Universe  (especially because the game engine and the in game models so far look amazing) would be welcomed addition .

Radiant glory is one of the ugliest game models I have ever seen in any game with or without effects. That hair is just vomit inducing.

Will Blade of Epiphany bring creature back to life stronger and faster? (Better att, def and speed stats). That would be awesome and actually I can't see other reason why unupgraded and upgraded Seraph has different skills (BoM and BoE).

Kiril's model looks good. But I have a weird feeling it resembles some Japanese Kamen-Rider-like movie I watched on my childhood but I like it, maybe the best out of four.

They're minds are so blown away that they can't yet comprehend how awesome it is. It's a giant Cyclops hurling rocks at a castle. Giant Cyclops hurling BOULDERS...clearly there is a god.

It is the best catapult sofar. it is not so comfusing like the Inferno and necropolis one and more original then the Human mix of a Catapult and trebuchet.

The Cyclops unit itself can attack walls too:

Sunder (Basic): "If you think their fort is impressive, you should see how quickly they can tear it down." It seems like the normal cyclops will be able to atack in close combat the walls (I wonder why this only aplies to the non-upgraded, maybe it's included on the upgraded slam or the eye beam...). I just realized that a hero "really" wont carry just one rock thrower with him, the same way than a hero wont carry just one catapult, the model represents the hero real balistic power the same way than a creature model represents an entire squadron, but it still annoys me to se a CHAMPION creature as a catapult... maybe they are the "weak" cyclops that are sniffed on by their strong siblings because of their color or something when they born... but I can't see a Celestial operating a catapult...

The tormentor and breeder look fantastic. I didn't really like the tormentor in the concept art, but the model is incredible.

Interesting how the heroes concept art are name "mighmale" specifying class and gender, still waiting for the confirmation of models per sex and class (we currently have seen Necropolis might male hero and Necropolis magic Male in fact).

By the way, was Anton going to be named "Brad" at some point? on the concept art direction, it says Brad in the same part where the barbarian says Sandor.

P.S: Anyway noticed how the Sister seems to be praying movin her mouth?

was a nice surprise for me..
unlike majority here who care about abilities, i am more into visuals and..
i am in love with unit models..
happy that Ubi proved me wrong about some units (as i was judging them according the artworks)

HAVEN units
sun crusaders/ angels/ sister(with the same silly name though)/ upgraded griffin .. they all look incredible!!!
there is something voodoo about the look of Glories, but i guess it's ok..

NECRO
Fate spinner and Lamasu looked better on artworks, but they still look cool IMHO

INFERNO
I really like the look of Pit Lord! and i like the fact that he is not covered with flame.. for me the game model looks superior to the artwork
Tormentor.. i am not a fan of them..
Succubus looks interesting..
Maniac is good as well.. i never thought i may like this creature.. the way he stands is funny though.. looks like he is pissed drunk saying "How YOU doin'?"
and finally the Breeder!!! i can tolerate it!!! i never knew i will be able!!! as i HATED the artwork and description of it... but now.. no negative emotions at all..! the best surprise for me!!! happy)
what i adore the most in Inferno is a model of KIRILL!!!!!! brilliant!!! i wish we had a creature looking like him in Inferno line-up... something like Hell Knight.. but at least we have a hero who looks like THAT!!!!

i am starting to like the Orcs.. oops.. did i just say that??
no seriously.. even the Goblin looks interesting!!! hmm...
is it going to be the first ever Stronghold faction in HoMM series that i would symphatise??? lets see, lets see..

Skeleton looks rubbish. Over-armored and glowing. Where's the real H3 skeleton equiped with only a sword? It really looks more of a robot now.

Also abilities are too much like stories now. I don't get what many of them do and they are only talking about some pro-verbs. :S

oh, I know! He's stuck in Heroes 3, so what we've got is the new skeleton which looks great! So take your time machine and play Heroes 3 if you don't like new stuff.
