If this is the new ship battle, then I have to say I don't like it. It's pretty much the same battlefield (straight across). I want to see two ships with planks that force you to use tactics to get across and attack.

There's the minimum system requirement for MMH6 from facebook:

Intel Core 2 Duo 2GHz, AMD Athlon 64 X2 2Ghz or better
2 GB RAM
9 GB free space on hard disk
nVidia 8800GT 512Mb RAM, ATI 3850HD 512Mb RAM or better

I can translate some things too lazy to translate all.

Anyway the article doesn't say anything new at all.
The guy says that he played H6.
And that the graphic look very simillar to H5.

Some talking about 2 bars:
1- dragon tear bar - makes for example resurrecting spells better
and the second dragon blood bar - makes ofensive spells better

Cieszy (what makes us happy):
- they didn't make a revolution, it's still a great game,
- interessting reputation system,
- community remarks were included,
- less cartoonish graphics,

Niepokoi (what makes us worry):
- only 5 factions,
- maybe a little revolution would be needed?

hey everyone! new to the forum.

i hope i'm doing it right and i'm not replying to someone....


i wanted to share my thoughts on H6, and i'm not writing in the FAQ thread bc i want to know what YOU FANS have to say and i know i'll probably won't get any "official" answers from developers anyhow...

so i'll try to keep it short, here it goes;

1. IMO, leaving the 3D town screens out is an awful decision, unless it'll be balanced by another graphical interface that will honor the fact this is a 2011 game... i mean we should go forward not backwards right? i understand some ppl don't have high-end computers but this is a NEW game, it should be graphically more complexed than previous games.

2. in the asahan world u can say that there is rough line between "good" and "evil" races/factions. in H5 it was like this:

good-

-Haven
-elves (sylvan)
-Dwarfs
-Academy

evil-

-Inferno
-Necropolis
-Dark Elves
-Orcs

i feel that with only 5 factions in H6, 3 of them "evil" ones, there is no balance.even with naga it's still 2-3 for "evil".

this brings me to my 3rd point-

3. NO ACADEMY ON THE BASIC GAME??? how can there be orcs, necromancers and beastman without mages? the academy faction is an INTEGRAL AND PIVOTAL part of the ashan timeline and they are responsible and a part of so many important events. leaving them out is kinda strange...

if u put academy in u get balance and logical game composition. i mean, even if academy will appear in one of the extensions it'll still be AFTER necromancers,beastman and orcs appeared in the game and it's very peculiar to play the game without academy but with it's offsets and creations...

4. last thing, i do hope there will be plenty of "defeat all" simple, no special objectives,just fun maps that u can play and annoying objectives like "find tear of asha" will not reincarnate into H6 bc it's not fun to simply win after building your grail without having a chance to actully benefit from it...


hope to get some interesting replyes!

welcome Finsternis, we all love you Finsternis... oww wait this is not my AA meeting... scratch that

1. takes a lot of work, serves no purpose besides estetics, many ppl have no problem with it...
2. besides inferno nobody aint evil...nor good
3. see number 2 and consider the fact that there are 5 factions at the release so if academy was in, by your standards you would also have 3-2... oww wait, its not balance u want, its academy... got it
4. there will be 10 maps within the release... rest downloadable and made by fans

not interesting... just the truth

I think it's pretty clear (certainly going by the visual quality of the rest of the game) that the decision to drop 3D town screens was not because of hardware limitations, but because it was a terrible interface and just left everyone using the menus instead.

well, they can do the 3D screens again, only better... and anyhow, if u wanna recruite troop u won't go to every single dwelling/building. u just go the menu or the castle/citadel/fort.

i really enjoyed seeing my town from all angles and listen to the thematic music simultaniously, it added a whole lot to game atmosphere.

1. Will be something of either Love it or Hate it depending on the person .. while as you said you hate the lack of it and that is step backward other may say it was just useless and a taking up precious time and memory load ...

2. This has already been discussed on the thread if you have patience and read it through .. but all I can say is that pretty much in H5 almost all races are gray and only Inferno is definitely on the Dark Side but even them get a sponge bath and become gray-is in H6.

3. Pretty socking for a lot of us but ... in this time line (of H6) the Necromancers haven't become independent and are considered as citizens of the mage cities ... probably will see a return for the Academy in a add-on when there going to start the persecution of necros. and the war that follows

4. There are a lot of hints regarding a improvement of this area and a bigger diversity for the evolution of your heroes story in campaign and even the possibility of having multiple ends for a campaign based on your choices ..so yeah will see but all points towards better things

Long not entered the discussion, so...

First, I want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to the one, who uploaded the magazine shots. Although there were no news, it helped me to understand the blood/tear system better. And I love the part, where they say, how someone misspelled BlackHole, changing "l" for "r"

Secondly, I would like to agree with Finsternis, that I miss the 3D town screens. I know they take too much work (and time) and have no real purpose (beside aesthetics), but it was really nice to see your town developing into a real city, to see how it grows from all the angles. For me, Sylvan had the best feeling and atmosphere from all the towns. I just loved, how the sun appeared from beyond the tree, I loved the buildings etc.... So, I really hope, that a patch (or mod) with 3D town screens for M&MH6 will appear

And third... what bothers me is the Russian screenshot of the website menu. It looks quite believable, with the (possible) Sanctuary sign and 7 slots for factions. Haven, Inferno, Necropolis, Stronghold and Sanctuary take 5 of them. Neutrals one more. And what about the 7th one? Will there be a "quick addition" of one more faction for vanilla (as in the case of snow terrain)? Or is just ONE faction planned for the expansion(s)? Or is it just a photoshoped picture?

well, i hope they won't leave dwarfs out...i liked the H5 fortress...

i think they will add both elvish faction in the first expansion with a campaign telling the story of the birth of the dark elves (my absolute favorite H5 faction!) and for the first time maybe the faceless will be a part of that new dungeon faction!wishfull thinking...

Academy and Dwarfs are a must in ashan, the way i see it. but then u get 9 factions...and just add a sylath faction (thunderbirds yeahhh!) and u get 10... too much maybe, or maybe not?

and back to reality...i will be satisfied by seeing dragons, elves and academy, these are the basic minimum i think...without that the game won't be complete.

There's one thing I wanna know for MMH6 and for a project.

Can somebody explain to me how the 'creatures initiative' work ( like in HOMM5 ). What creatures go first and stuff.

I know it sounds like a noob question but as I said I really need it for a project and to understand the battle in MMH6.

So please give me A UNDERSTANDABLE EXAMPLE!

We do not even know if Michael can by considered a boss or if he is just a Charater.

We do not know if there is going to by one boss for eache faction or if there will by more. If they are distributed regulary or if one faction has more the another.

We do not know if the bosses in the original game are connected only to the factions that are in the game or to some added in the future

People are jumping to fast to conclusions

it can very well by that
Michael is not a Boss
From the 8 bosses in the game
1 is for Sanctuery
2 for inferno
1 for Haven
3 for Necropolis
and
1 for a faction present in the nest game

Until we have the list of them , all is just speculation.

So, we have two evil Angels... Michael and the woman of the video/girlfriend of Kiril.
They can be bosses of Haven and Inferno, respectively. Or just heroes...

Why do I feel that in this game it will be more important to kill angels than demons?

Also, about the new screenshot. I love both Fate Spinner and Pit Lord, but I prefer the second one.

@hahahocka: I think it's not 9 factions, but 4 factions with 2 bosses each plus Stronghold. And my wish: dear BlackHole, bring black dragon back to Ashan. Everyone loves black dragon, immune to magic fiery destroyer

yeah, except the fact it is not so immune anymore with Dark Elven's Racial Skill which is an irony. But anyway, yeah, some faction doesn't fell right without it (Black Dragon), looking at how the champions on original faction are, I can't wait how they will design Black Dragon.

Yo dude, just wanted to add something about why academy are not in H6:

In the timeline, H6 is set in 564 YSD. The Seven Cities become the Silver Cities in 771 YSD and this is when the academy really starts with gargoyles, golems and titans coming out. So they are "non-existent" in 564 YSD in terms of troops. Wizards were mainly powerful individuals and have been around for long (Sar-Elam, Sar-Shazzar) but have not had no army.

Watch for the expansions:

1st - Elves vs Dark Elves
2nd - Wizard and Dwarves

My opinion.

u do realize that history is not an actual history but more of what they decide it to be ? they can make up a story and bring the titans and golems in or they can simply make other creatures like they did with inferno... with that being said... academy sux
