i'm just happy that ghouls have replaced the utterly useless zombies. yes they could take a lot of damage, i'm sure ghouls can too. plus they seem to have a good attack and better mobility as well(as seen in the combat video necro vs haven), compared to the zombies from previous games.

i wonder how the necromancy skill will operate....like upgraded levels of necromancers will raise ghouls and ghosts instead of skeletons as in the h3?

Before I forget, if the story about the 5th child been Irina, who escaped from a forced marriage, is true, then what can be her role in the story?

And if that is true, then also is true that river spirits are indeed creatures of the Sanctuary faction, which means there will be 2 different water creatures, unless the water elemental is the new name of river spirit or they changed the concept of this creature.

Elvin's been sayin this a lot....

I know, but for me River Spirit is the creature of the concept art, not a creature that has the name River Spirit, that's why I insisted that River Spirit couldn't be a Sanctuary's creature. I'm too obsessed with the water elemental for my own good. Sorry Elvin.

Elvin's been sayin this a lot....the water elemental is there as well as the spring/river spirit. i guess that they will change the look and feel of the spring spirit from that of the already revealed water elemental. so yes, there would probably be 2 watery creatures but fingers crossed, they wont b similar (o please GOD i hope so!!)

i jus realised that there are quite a few creatures in h6 which feature a clawed primary attack....

from inferno: excruciator-lacerator

from necro: ghoul

from stronghold: jaguar warrior

from heaven: griffin (but that shoudnt count ryt? what else should a griffin do for an attack? peck? )

from what i'v seen so far from leaked artwork, only the naga havent got a clawed creature. i remember clawing vampires and behemoth from h3...and white tigers from h4...but usually heroes didnt have so many clawed creatures.if i'm not wrong, h5 didnt have a single one except if u count griffins.

Yes there is quite a few, BUT IMO it is more interesting than boring sword slashes

The Vampire attacking with a sword instead of claws (H3) or life suction (H4) is one of the most idiotic downgrading changes in HOMM IMHO. Life suction is EXCLUSIVE for Vampire, anything with arms can slash things up with a sword...not to mention the vampire bat animation missing...

hmm...in H5 there were considerably less than in H6, but still a few. Apart from the Griffin I can think of Mummy (and others like Unicorn and Treant, not claw but still the same mechanism)

Sanctuary doesn't appear to have claw attackers, but the Kappa will probably punch, and maybe one of Kirin's attacks will be a claw slash?

I just hope they remove the Spring Spirit from Sanctuary (regardless of if it's the Water Elemental or not, it's too similar to 2 other ladies bordering her in the lineup). In her place should be put a Flying Manta Ray or an Electric Jellyfish! And she can be neutral.

I agree, this seems to be the indicator, based on Elvin's posts! Hopefully it won't be female, and hope it'll be kick-ass cool!

I agree. Furthermore, I hope it won't be HUMANOID - a snake like in H5 (but with an actual serpent head) would be great IMO.

The dwarf berseker also counts as claw attacks

And yep, I too hope that what Elvin is saying is that the river spirit remains but ONLY in name, and the design is something new. Having a lady water elemental and a lady river spirit looking the same wouldn't be very original.

Bad news for the people who wanted something new for tomorrow. The hungarian site hasn't posted anything new, and the screenshot of the day is the one of the boat (Inferno vs. Necropolis).
However, you can download the video of the demo in High Quality in the site.

I hope the final day of the Hungarian week will be something special

the image of 1 March and leaked a few days ago, this is the image of battle on the boat, so nothing new image tomorrow.

It's a clever image at that though, as it's not a battle but the adventure map made to look like their onboard a ship and the positions of the creatures, made to look like they're fighting.

I think that a necromancer has that bar that fills up when friendly or enemy stacks die.....therefore I think you can choose to raise whichever troops (core, elite, champion) you choose, but obviously the higher level troops will require more of the filled-up bar....

As you get stronger in Necromancy, this requirement probably decreases.....

MAGIC / SPELLS:

Heroes III = 75 spells (air/water/earth = 19, fire = 18)

Heroes V = 68 spells/other (light/dark/destr/summ = 12, adventure = 4, runes = 10, warcries =6)

Heroes VI = 113 spells/other (7 magic schools = 14, warcries = 15) (figures from the skill trees, so speculation here)

Seems to me that Heroes VI is going to have a *&$#load of spells & warcries compared to the other Heroes games.....

Also, I am wondering if there will be unique spells that will appear in all magic schools, like in Heroes III: Magic Arrow, Visions.

Personally I wouldn't include War Cries and Runes into the list of 'spells' in H5, since neither used Mana and neither were available to more than one faction. That gives 44/52 spells in H5.

As for the interviews, well there's nothing much new.

war cries use mana, runes sometimes give mana
Ah, so they do. They're still limited to one faction each though.

That's why I put spells/other.....

Anything that when cast has an affect on the stacks or battlefield.....
Ah, right, my bad.

Oh, and I just realised, Erwan said that HoMM/MM:H is a mix of Strategy and Role-Playing, not Management and Strategy, but that's wrong, because Management AKA Logistics is actually a part of Strategy, it's the bit that isn't Tactics (Eisenhower quoted after the war that the most important pieces of equipment were the C-47 and the Jeep. The quote actually listed 4 items, but the other 2 he actually mentioned are in debate).

It won't be available in the vanilla for sure, they said that want to "focus on the Map Editor" instead, whatever this nonsense means.

No only 6 warcries.....

We do know how the the H6 warcries will work....Xhane showed us casting "Heroism" on her Haven troops, which is a warcry on the skill tree (like Flawless assault).....so they will work like spells (or most of them anyway!)

There is something new, the staircase...

Yes it's the same as H5 but now we know what the underground is leading to above ground....pretty cool cos you can actually see the dragon body spiralling up with the stairs....

Also ,what is that "light" white statue......? Decoration?
