Well if it IS going to be released in 2012 then it must be much better with full townsreens, more neutrals, more maps and (depending when in 2012) a 6th faction.
SO as long as they have it as best as possible (not literaly or they would wait for 5D monitors and 2000 Gigabytes of RAM and that will take a LOT of time) but I think they should launch it before christmas 2012 (If that even exists) or they would get a lot of 'I WANT MORE INFORMATION ON THE GAME!! )

I'm absolutely fine with the delay but if it is only for polishing, how about speeding up the stream of updates, eh? Large part of the game is still a mystery. Will they finally explain how the control points different from towns will be garrisoned (I really want to know this, don't know about the others) and generally what other uses does the control area have, then shed some light on the creature abilities, some more details on the skill and spell system, some info about the new types of battle arenas won't hurt either and so on...

I don't expect them to tell us any time soon. I think we'll have our answers only after the beta starts.

I don't get this strategy of delaying the important gameplay-related information until the last moment. The community can be an important asset, because of the constructive criticism it (quite often) provides.

I will rather wait for a polished game than to receive a half-way-done game that would by eventually dissed by critics (witch was 3DO favorite thing to do (looking at CoMaM and HoMaM IV)

They are not spellcasters in the traditional sense, they all have a specific spell-like ability along with their passive ones.

I like the writing style, doesn't go into much length or detail but it's an enjoyable read. Quite curious what we'll read on the ubi era.

Yeah I'm guessing they have totems or something similar they can drop on a battlefield that will have magical effects, etc. Or perhaps they'll have abilities similar to the Homm5 Chieftan's "Order of the Chief".

I meant that in a general sense, not just dreamwalkers A number of units have unique spells or with a tweak like dreamwalker's earth special doesn't just slow the opponent but also does damage.
