I'm going nuts.
Ever since I've got this beta there haven't been much crashings at all. But for some outlandish reason ever since this morning this game has been crashing constantly.
So strange, I've haven't had much problems before...

...And I have so much testing to do. :/

the only solution to the crashing is to save after every battle and have nerves of steel.

not 100%, when you get a fort or town back it doesn't always displays the right coulour of the dwellings etc. on th minimap; you can also get forts with heroes without having army by your hero.

Btw, really sh*ty bug, the main hero of my enemy has gotte 211 might attack and is unbeatable now. Anyone knows how this has happened? Or is it just random bug?

Haha and to think some people wanted a release in Marsh!

Hey does anyone know if there's a way to remove saves?
I believe I have some corrupted save files or something, just wondering if there's a way of removing them.
(uninstalling the game didn't work...)

built end of second week all dwellings playing Sanctuary on Broken alliance. I had 1 Kirin, so I decided to build fortifications level 1 on day 1-2-7. All dwellings gave +1 additional creature but I received 6 Kirins now instead of 2... Without fortifications I have 3 Kirins on 1-3-1, with fortifications I have 7. Another weird thing...

Well, it's worse than I thought. I replayed the same thing but now 4 Kirins instead of 7. Nothing in the week indicating unusual growth both times. Maybe they could give us some cheat codes to test those things , it's a pain otherwise. Or are they patching while we play? lol

Does anyone know how the Shantiri Moon Disc even works, doesnt seem to do anything for me.

Also the Griffin's Battle Dive ability does way less damage then it should.

Is there a way to see who the lead board of kingdom army strength/mightiest army, amount of heroes, artifacts, income, towns etc somewhere? I liked that function, it used to be in the tavern.

This is not official, but when I have this disk in my inventory I instantly won the battle with those Moon Phoenixs guarding orc town, otherwise they just phew phew my units with that insane shield

Well that was Thieves Guild in previous games... so they just moved it to somewhere else (tavern?) or just removed it--- as other 50% of original HoMaM mechanics

The more I play, the more I'm appalled by some of the bugs that are still in the game ... beta or not.

I had a fully developped Inferno city and captured a totally empty city which I converted. The next turn I built the Succubi dwelling and recruited all the Succubi in that 2nd city.

I then accidentally pressed on the Succubi portrait and ... got offered to upgrade them all to Lilims. Seriously ?

Can someone enlighten me with respect to the various magic schools and the relation to the 5 factions. It seems to me that all factions have the same possible spells with some very small differences. For the moment I do not understand whether for example Nagas are more skilled with water magic, or if Humans are more skilled with light magic compared to other magic schools.

Something is very weird to me with the current ability system. Even if I do not find it bad as a concept it seems to me that factions are not well differentiated. Might heroes from all factions can select roughly the same abilities and, as explained in the previous paragraph, it seems the magic heroes from different factions can more or less use the same pool of spells.

Also at the current state of the game, even if there is great variety of abilities to chose from, in the end, a small set turn to be way better than the rest and will result in people always choosing them.

Each faction simply has 5 specific schools, different combination from the others. Except orcs that had 6 schools last I checked. No bonuses that I know of, same available spells/abilities. Of course not all are of same effectiveness according to the hero class/army/abilities one has but not due to them actually being better at it.

I get exactly the same impression. Options are good, but not when they are all available from the beginning. You end up building the same "archetype heroes" every time.
But this fits right into the H6 recipe --> less strategy, more RPG

It's either this or random level ups with players screwed after one gets leadership, luck and logistics and the other fets eagle eye, mysticism and first aid

Hope we receive some words from the developpers and some info about how things are supposed to work. As it is now we can't do much but speculate and work on mechanisms that risk to be wrongly developped and so our balance ideas are also wrong because founded on wrong assumptions .

Can you please expand on this. I've been playing Haven and Naga and as a magic hero I tend to take the same spells/abilities. Not to mention that some like healing, regeneration might be useful for any faction.

Or make a mixture of the two schools of thought. That is, take the unique faction ability tree from H5 and remove the randomness by applying the ability style of H6. At the moment making everything available to everybody seems to make the game boring.
