With a GeForce GTX 285, 6 GB RAM and a CPU Core i7 920 I don't think I should have the slightest problem with Heroes 6, regardless of visual detail settings.
But, alas, even at 'low' settings movement on the adventure map is far from smooth and enemy turns take significantly longer to complete.
I will re-install and share the results.
It runs fine for me, but the loading times, especially when starting the game, are a lot longer than before.

As for now the info is that Town-screens won't be changed much.. so they will suck!
there were hints though that give fans a hope, but it's unlikely.. but as you know faith dies the last...!

as for Town Screens there is a fans petition, where you can express your opinion and vote.. CLICK HERE
Expansion factions have never been confirmed officially..
There are assumptions only..
Dungeon (we have seen several units already like Black Dragon/Shadow elemental)
Sylvan (if there is Dungeon, lorewise is quite likely to see Sylvan)
Academy (only a small hint on interview with Dev's, but not a big hint though.. no one ever confirmed anything)

Downloaded it yesterday, initially after a few minutes of play I got a blank black screen. Nothing helped, removed and reinstalled it. this time it worked fine for about 15 minites, managed to complete 5 or 6 battles. Engaged some Kappas and game droped...kicked me out. I`ll give it a third try tonight, but so far reliability looks terrible ( I run a 64 bit Win 7 on a mobile computer, might have to do something with AGP Apperture as I can`t change this on a laptop ). My initial observations:
Possitive:
- excellent graphics quality
- Interesting skill tree
- Better interraction with the battlefield
Negative:
- battles are slow because of hitpoints I think
- town window
- battlefield is too small ( interesting, I read that it should be bigger than on HOMM5 ) and I think this will limit tactics
- stacks add-on in heroes army
- is the marksman shooting with tracing bullets? Looks like so...
Of course these impressions are based on a very limited experience with the beta.

I have two particular questions for those in BETA:
1) How challenging is the AI in combat? Do they flee often? Do they ever use mass spells? (It bugged me in Homm5 that they'd single cast slow, meanwhile I would mass-haste).
2) Do you still think the game will be out on time in a month? It seems there are a lot of little bugs that need to be addressed, so I'm concerned that the game won't be ready.

I cannot answer those questions in refernece to to 1.4 (mine is bugged in that it fails to launch ever since the update), but before it I had relatively substantial gameplay.
1) The AI has not been found to be difficult in combat, the only issue I have ever really had against them is just pure numbers that I couldn't match though still able to stand against in most manners.
2) I could very easily say that the game will come out, though given the current issues they are having I would not expect it to be in a prime condition unless they perform a near miracle in the following weeks.
I will admit that although I have been a very strong fan of the franchise in the past, I currently have a negative opinion of the game (beta) and as of now will most likely not buy it at launch.

Thanks Omnipotence! My friend and I want to take off that Friday (Oct. 14th) from work to play and start the weekend early, but we can only do that if the game is confirmed to have the same release date of Oct 13th. If there's any light Elvin or Cepheus can shed on this it'd be appreciated.
On topic, the BETA sounds very productive, and the game appears to be more bug-free than the original H5 release.

I'm about 99% sure the game will not be delayed again. To be honest, I was absolutely stunned (albeit in a positive way) that it was pushed back from September. I don't expect them to get any more time.

I do like the game but after a while I can't play it as crashes after like 5 seconds after the loading screen which really bugs me! I then tried to play the demo instead but the same thing happens there too!
Do anybody know that the problem is, and by that I'm saying if something similar has happened to some body else and know what to do?
Please help, I really want to play again...
