I'm sure after a round or two with the Dark Eldar you will beg the Slaaneshi cultists to take you back

So no worries Ivor.

That would be the Tau.

They'll offer you to join them, let you live in what is basically concentration camps, neuter you, and live happily ever after under the Tau master race. If you don't take the offer you get to eat Railgun fire.

That only happens to those who fail re-education or rose up against the Tau in the past. Races who actually accept the Greater Good, and not just say that they do, do actually get to live a realatively peacefull and productive life.

Getting killed in the Warhammer universe is among the better things that can happen to you, making Khorne, in essence, the resident God of Mercy of the galaxy. Now if that's not sweet...

Actually sometimes it's not that good to die, for example the souls of Dark Eldar get nommed by Slaanesh.

I also would not want to feel what it's like to have a star god eat my soul

Oh, and those souls that are not claimed get torn apart by daemons. Sweet, no?

Well there are those races who couldn't care less about dying. I can't remember where I read it, but it's a great quote about Orks.
Quote:
You have to keep in mind that to an Ork, a day that starts by strangling someone with their bare hands and ends with their hands getting chopped off, is a great day.

Everything sucks in the 40k world haha... the only time people ever have fun is when they're ruining someone else's lives.

Well that rule does not actually apply to Orks. They certainly have  great fun when they're out fighting, but they  amuse themselves outside of battle as well. Come to think about it, an Ork's life sounds actually pretty good. Fighting and having fun, and there is no fun like fighting.

By the way, I've always wondered (out of ignorance maybe) if it makes sense to compare the various deities in the universe. In terms of power, influence, etc. For example - one of the major Chaos Gods with a C'tan, say - Tzeentch to The Nightbringer.

Same thing for Slaaneshi CSM.

They enjoy everything they do

EDIT: I don't think you can compare the material gods (C'tan) to the immaterium gods (chaos, ork gods and so on). From what Ive read the power of the different gods in the immaterium go like this: Ork gods>Chaos Gods>Eldar Gods>Emperor

Also it would be hard to compare any of these deities as we don't know their full reach and power.

As much as I agree with DS' lineup of the immaterium-gods, The Ork Gods are both at the top and at the bottom. It's true that Gork and Mork are the most powerfull, but they are also the most lazy and generally don't do much.

They're beautiful...

Am 100% they will be finecast models, if you like the Necrons, you should check out the Tomb Kings in just plain ol' Warhammer, they were recently updated as well.

I recently got me one of these (War Sphinx):

I wish they would make a game for Warhammer which is like Dawn of War, Battle March and Mark of Chaos were not very good..

My Nr. 1 wish is still a digital version of the board game.

Doesn't seem like it's ever gonna happen though. Maybe GW is 'fraid of it making the RL version obsolete...

I heard that somewhere within the deep pockets of the net, that there is a sort of simulator, but it doesn't use fancy graphics or anything.

I wonder if the recent Warhammer 40k games have given GW more customers or not, would think that it would.

Edit: Quick google revealed that maybe  I am thinking of Vassal 40k?

Yeah it's dead as far as I know, GW killed it with the power of law.

I'm a graphics wh*** too, wouldn't be able to play with it anyway.

Sounds about right, I remember hearing recently that they were suing a Chapterhouse Studios for making units from codex's that GW were not making and were never going to make.

But as the law goes, it is there right as the copyright holders..

Yeah... and it's not like GW can allow some fans to infringe just a little either, while stopping all the others.

They need to be absolute or else their copyright rings hollow, so I can understand them.
