I completely agree.  It was foolish to put so much emphasis on healing and resurrection.  

As others have mentioned, 4k exp. from treasure chests is overkill.  Getting 7,500 exp from obelisks is even worse.

However chain lightning shows the same damage in the spellbook as in the 'customization' screen.

some bugs i found.

-when the upgraded version of the angel walks instead of fly his crown behing the head disapper until he finish.

-kappa abilty bug.

-breeder and mother breeder werid range attack.

-panter warrior  dont have any speical attack when using his abilty or having a critical.

-(not sure) i don't think there is any diffrance in the damages between the fate spinner/weaver spider form or human form. they both doing the same mele damage.

-necromancy abilty level 4 only heal, and can't resurrect the deads while necromancy level 3,2,1 can resurrect them.

-confessor abiltty resurrection still appers on the combat after using on dead vistals(didnt checked it on the other cretures).

-when you choice hitomi(sanctuary samurai female hero) and you move from one side to the other on the map .she do an extra turn.

-when changing forms between fate spinner/weaver's human form to spider form or spider form to human somtimes they have wings for one second and somtimes the spider form have weird green smile on his butt.

-fate spinner/weaver spider have diffrent animation in critical while shoting (which i don't think should be because the other shooters don't have diffrent animation for critcal shooting).

-stonghold and sanctuary heroes don't have symbol of there faction under their legs while combats.

- Resurrection renders the resurrected stack immune to all damage but does not prevent it from attacking, so effectively if it's used once, the stack on which it is cast can not be killed but it can certainly kill unlimited amount of opposing creatures;
- Blade of Hatred seems to work randomly and inconsistently. Sometimes it triggers, sometimes it doesn't and even if it triggers, it often self-dispels at the beginning of the affected creature's turn. Maybe I'm missing something but it looks like a bug;
- Some creatures get to act twice during the same round without receiving positive morale. So far this happened with a stack of Temptresses and a stack of Specters (obviously the latter can't get morale bonuses). If positive morale triggers, the said stack could act up to 3 times.
- I don't know if it's a bug but during a duel against Haven something triggered when I hit a stack of Seraphs with a stack of Pit Lords and this something dealt at least 1200-1300 damage to my entire army. It left me If it's some ability or spell, then it's an equivalent of a tactical nuke;
- the effect from Counterstrike II sometimes get prolonged after the second round (once it lasted to the end of the battle).

As reported, there is much greater amount of animation glitches and bugs than there was in the previous beta. For example marksman's piercing shot: It hits two targets, the bolt flies to the first, the stack dies and does it's death animation. Only when it's finished, the bolt continues and hits the second stack which does it's hit animation long after the shot was actually fired. Prety funny
Seems to be part of some global problem, I mean how would they mess up with so many previously working animations?

I have won few duels vs the AI and I still got 0 in every stat in my profile =/ I have not finished any map yet.

Cleave?

-Sanctuary's might hero ability "Calm Before the Storm" is bugged. You do not gain any extra dmg, only initiative.
-Kappa shoya's 3x3 animation gone.
-Pearl Priestess "eye of medusa" reduces 5 initiative instead of 20. Most of the time it's 5. But I have seen 4 and 6. And once 19 and 20
-Sacred Kirin mist is fixed and they now are not affected by their mist.
Is it just me or did they remove the town conversion animation?

It's not just the animations - many gameplay-related things which were working correctly in 1.1 and 1.2 are now bugged...

- AI sometimes flees when it's about to win (like I had 36x tier 1 creatures left and it had like 60 every tier creatures, he ran off)

- Heroes with no army can exist and move / cap / collect in adventure map

- After playing some time, I Couldn't move the adventure map camera by taking the cursor to the edge of the screen. Visiting menu and doing some other things made it work again.

And one annoying thing that's not a bug exactly:
AI fleeing instantly (or after damaging spell)... I hate it but guess it can't (will not) be helped

Okay, I have run into something really strange.

I was playing "A Bridge to Far" and I was at a point where the AI opponent and I were battling each other with our main heroes in the middle of the map. My faction was Stronghold, and the AI was Inferno. After battling for a couple of turns and the battle appearing to be going my way, out of nowhere on the initiative track there appears a stack of 4 succubi. The strange thing was that I didn't see a stack of 4 succubi anywhere on the battlefield. After I waited for a couple of minutes I realized that the game was stuck, so I quit. I later went back to my save just before the battle, and wouldn't you know it, at almost the same point of time in the battle the same thing happened again.

It is at this point I realize that I will probably not be able to get past this. Anyone else experience something similar?

When editing your dynasty heroes your are unable to remove skills manually. You have to Respec completely in order to remove skills and then assign new ones.
Or at least I assume it's a bug since it's a red cross.

At any rate, it's irritating especially since you often want to rearrange your skills between duels.

- In the Dynasty options, you can't change your favourite achievements and there's no tooltip saying what they are

- I also think the Dynasty XP goes way too fast. With all 4 campaign maps, I've reached level 29.

- There needs to be some kind of penalty for losing a hero just like in previous HoMM. It's retarded that you can just buy your hero back on the next turn if you lose a battle - isn't that what surrender and flee were made for ?
I finished Irina's campaign and I think I killed Karloff like 20 times in a row. Killed him, AI bought him back, he came back, I killed him, AI recruited him back, etc.... I don't know how anyone sane could find this "great". Dead heroes should remain dead, except for the main hero.

- "Retreat" windows needs to be fixed. I'd even say it has to be removed completely. At least remove the numbers of units ...


Not really a bug, but I think forts serve absolutely nothing in this game. - They should have more utility, because right now they're only emtpy fortifications that serve no purpose unless you have by chance a hero nearby at the same time the opponent has also a hero nearby.

1. Dwellings + upgrade. Building dwellings in forts doesn't increase growth but it allows you to recruit units and/or to upgrade units.
2. Fortifications. By default the fort should only have superior fortifications and you should be able to pay for advanced fortifications (at a lesser cost than cities' ones since it provides no growth).
3. Prison. Enemy heroes are imprisonned in the nearest fort when you beat them. The Enemy can free his captured heroes by capturing the fort.
4. Guard Captain. Like in H2, it's a weaker hero who has some default abilities + racial abilities and defends the fort if no hero is there
5. Unique buildings. Only the buildings that affect a city's area of influence could be built in forts (you could build the Pile of Skull in a Stronghold's fort, but not the Hall of Raiders)

I have lost hope for this game. I've emailed Steam to cancel my pre-order. Maybe I'll look at it again in 18 months to see if they ever manage to get it into a playable state.

I guess it is your first time in beta?

It is SUPPOSED to be a bit buggy so that we can help fix it before the game is actually released.

There is a reason that the game was delayed like 3-4 times.

I lol at the though that it would be released back in March this year now. xD

Not sure if it's technically immune or if the AI just doesn't recognize there are any units left on the battlefield. Either way, it's a major bug.

OK, I think this was caused by Retribution Aura (70% sure). Just had a similar game where my army got decimated just because my Cyclopes attacked the opponent's Sacred Kirins. About 1500 damage was inflicted to each creature from my army. Needless to say - total slaughter. Don't know if this is supposed to happen but bug or not, it's a complete game breaker at the moment.

Dunno if it's always like this but, Resurrection can render a unit invulnerable infinitely.
Just had a duel where I was Stronghold, I pretty much had all my stacks left but his one resurrected stack was unkillable literally, so I had no way to win. :S

I know it has been mentioned before, but I just wanted to be clear, that it never disappeared...
