duplicates, yes. but the objects i did that overwrite the old objects, he said he was going to have both, and keep the old files. this is why i posted that, obviously.

I've made water animation for use in water objects like icebergs.
As BMPs: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/44735333/wog/WaterAnim.rar
As PSD: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/44735333/wog/WaterAnim_psd.rar(animated from lower to topmost layer)

thanks. but i'm not making a reflection for the icebergs. like i said, if one water object is reflected, they all have to be. and the graphics are a bit too advanced for this game. it would make everything else ugly by comparison.

It depends. Talented designers find very interesting combinations of objects that still look consistent. So, if there's a number of advanced-looking water objects, I'd expect something cool to be done with them.

Actually it is very easy to create reflection using Grayface upload. Place reflection layer on each of animated water frames. It will end in iceberg and its reflection as different def, but I think is worth it.

lol, there's a couple replies i could use to respond to that, grayface. so i'll post them both.

1. whoever said i was talented? what i do, anyone else can do.

2. i already stated that i wasn't going to make icebergs with reflections. if you took even a glance at the link to the tutorial posted by salamandre, you would know that it is intensive work. just for 1 friggin' def. my method is much easier, and i prefer my results, anyway.

finally, i am still curious as to why i haven't seen anything about the nude female town you said you'd see about Maestro doing, since you posted it so long ago(october 2nd, to be exact, in the first page of this thread). when can we expect to see any results from that?

EDIT after seeing salamandre's post: still too much work, to make everything else fit. no thanks.

Reflection is about 15 minutes work, but I think it is worth it. Anybody can throw mountains on water, true icebergs is the mark of a master, GO!

lol, dude, you made the better looking ones! you're putting more work on my plate! no.

btw, did anybody read the post i made(last page) about needing help with batch processing pics? i still need help with that. i can provide the frames that need done, as well as the pics of different colors that need done... i have a maybe 8 different ones to do, around 180 frames per def. anyone? bueller?

EDIT: fear castle, version 1-

i added blood pouring out of the windows, ala "The Shining"(one of my top 10 favorite movies).

EDIT2: if i don't get any help with the batch frames i need done, i will be doing 585 frames manually, guys. one. by. one. not counting color variations, which multiplies that number by 2.

Yes. I first took the first lod and txt and renumbered the objects, generally giving them unique subtypes. Then i extracted every single object from second lod and, if not already in first lod, put it there, and appended the renumbered txt entries to the first txt file. So the result should not contain duplicates, and all the objects which are just altered originals are now both available.

I hope that i didn't forget anything. If yes, just tell me, and i'll correct that.

that means that there are 43 objects missing, then. i will see which ones, and let you know.

in the meantime, if anyone could help me with the batch processing who has a means to automatically manipulate multiple frames at once, it would be greatly appreciated.

I think there is a communication breakdown here, it doesnt mean 43 objects are missing because they are the duplicates. We are not talking about the duplicates that are the original versions and your versions, we are talking about the duplicates that are your first patch versions and your second patch versions. The patches contain duplicate stuff even if you take out original game stuff and those duplicates are naturally left out.

i found the source of the spiders i downloaded so long ago, and am trying to currently recolor. credit goes to itsjustme:

@ artu- i don't know what you mean. i will check the files, and figure it out.

EDIT: no, there is a problem. because in your upload, siegfried, you have 795 objects in the .txt file, and only 765 objects in the .lod file. so there are 30 missing between the two. i haven't yet checked which ones are missing in your upload, or the difference between your upload and both of mine yet. but i will later on today.

there are 45 objects missing from the lod. you hadn't replaced 5 other objects, but i fixed that and didn't include them(was crappy older versions of the grass i made, you replaced the 1st 5, not the 2nd 5. not a problem anymore) in the final error number. i will fix the patch, i isolated what i need to add from the 2 original uploads(while checking all 3 files), and will add them, and then make sure the numbers match. 45 objects, if they replace, won't take so long to rename. i'll make sure their names are bizarre enough that they won't replace anything else. thanks again siegfried.

EDIT: ok, it'll take longer than expected. the .txt file is a jumble, and i'm having to scan one-by-one. i found one error so far, but i have a bunch to go before i can even think about adding any missing defs into both the .txt and the .pac.

ok salamandre, here is the info you requested. i want to change 4 defs. the lineup is as follows:

EDIT: I'M DOING THE WORK MYSELF.

as you can see, the shadows need removed(they're all off), and the backgrounds, before the color work can be done on the spiders themselves.

does that answer your questions, salamandre? i want to use the grey, white, and dark versions. the colorful ones i did are for people who want colorful spiders.

EDIT: there are 180 frames for spider0. the others contain only 135, each.

You don't need šPS for such things, a free program as ImageMagick-6.6.5-Q16 will do the job even faster. It has been a long time I did not use it and forgot the *bat codes to use, I will ask Itsjustme when I see him online.

Lol, indeed. We should make it a top priority for 3.59. Or even better, make a policy that no new town can be made containing non-nude non-female monsters or heroes. Whoever would need a town without nude females anyway?

Can't find it. Here's a tool I made for batch processing that repeats mouse&keyboard actions a given number of times: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/44735333/wog/Macros.rar
Don't bother with it for edits that can be done with batch processing build into tools like ImageMagick.

Tutorials may look difficult until you try them. Ask anything if unclear.

I agree with Grayface: we have thousand of objects within 3 patches already yet only a very few objects from them are selected for new maps.
Objects as Astaroth ones, which took each days of work, will always be used in mapmaking because they rock. A multi-objects patch means nothing, the mapmaker will only pick a few objects from then will compile his own *pac. This doesn't minimize the hard work you made, I am just saying that mapmakers became more exigent and are looking only for the best.

@ grayface- yeah, 1 good def is better than 10 mediocre ones, i agree with that. who all's doing the work for 3.59, anyway? also, thanks for the info.

@ salamandre- it's not my business what people use for their maps, it's their prerogative. i just make and upload what i think is a good addition to what's already in the game. i'm not trying to set any records here. i think other people already have that covered.
