Good fight
Elvin monk cc me to the death with time stasis and light elementals. I was surprised by the cc combo, thought it would be a aoe spell monk with blizzard, so my positioning was off permiting him to bloc my archers with elementals. Also i spent points in spell defense instead of might defense. Also his heal is also a counter to a cc prist (removing the blind on heal triger of nagas priestes). Maybe i could counter that with a air pristess with cl and lb. Or a better oriented tactic positioning knowing what it would fallow.
Congrats on the stategy, that was the real winner here.

It was a good game  Unfortunately for arvis I had some really good magic arties while he did not have particularly good might ones. Crowd control worked better than I would have imagined, never giving the glories a chance to act and always keeping 1-2 units frozen in place - whether by serenity, time stasis, searing light or petrification. This of course made it harder for arvis to get morale and feed his racial gauge. Spirit link with 34 spellpower waves of renewal(over +700hp heal) and later ice armour made my kirins and mizu kami nigh untouchable.
It is unfortunate that we could not record the game as I run into some difficulties.. Here are some screens:

Elvin can you randomize who's attacking who for our match? It's one of the matchups where it might actually make a difference.
I'd also suggest this always gets randomized in the future. Like War-Overlord gives you pairs of numbers, right? The left one is always attacking. Not for this round though, we already know who's right and who's left.
Also I've had no news yet from Ozz, that's starting to worry me a little. Why do I always have the hard to contact guys?

You are right, who attacks first is a problematic case. I have not found an ingame solution so for now the left player is considered the attacker.

Left player ingame or on your post? Because ingame it's just a question of who got to create the lobby, that doesn't really solve the problem much. Who gets to create the lobby?

Right so my duel with Drus is finally up on Youtube! That's the first of 2 videos (didn't leave much of the preliminaries in other than me choosing things). If Youtube doesn't suggest the next one automatically you can easily find it in this here playlist.
In other news, complete radio silence from Ozzmousis. If he doesn't show up today it's going to be a little hard for me to get that duel.

If he doesn't appear tomorrow either then you will face polyglot in his stead. I have little doubt that he will agree, if not I will gladly take you on myself. Your opponent will gain nothing, this is a test to see if you pass or get eliminated from the finals. If you are eliminated then the remaining two players will proceed to the finals. How's that?

Victory!
Today Nikolas the Embalmer was indeed out-lucked by the powers of chaos, but not really "by far" as promised in an earlier post
I decided to go the warlock way to get the means to deal with the archliches, and when I saw the Rune of Flame it became obvious that I would play as a pyromancer. I also had the Golden Horseshoe in my collection.
Nikolas started with earth elemental + sacrifice ghost + petrify, making his army 100 % immune to everything, which was pretty scary. The only thing I could do was to do some minor blocking and to summon a poison cloud in the archlich corner.
When sacrifice's duration ended my fires started to burn while Nikolas summoned elementals, puppet mastered demons and teleported the liches away from the pressure of the poison cloud. Nikolas had strong magic defence.
Very slowly I got the upper hand by gating and by being able to reach every part of the battlefield, hitting hard with luck so that necromancy couldn't keep up.
I'm sorry, I just like the symbolism.

Fire + luck boost is a wicked infernal combo. Never thought to use earth elemental's petrify with sacrifice, love those little aces Nikolas keeps up his sleeve  If simpelicity fails to take me down it looks like we'll be meeting in the finals. Much looking forward to it if I manage to win my next game.

We are so geeky  in this place! And I assure you it was a shock when the ace left the sleeve. We should should have a duel anyway, if not in the finals, maybe in the next tournament or perhaps outside competition?
