Hi! I installed Knightmare heroes and after i attack a map creatures stack during autocombat the game crash with this error>

so I don't know how to debug it, because info is ambignous.

but one tip: don't use default auto combat. ever! WoG plus has Resolve Battle inside. Instead of having potentially buggy short-calculated battles just click on autocombat (inside battlefield) and choose between normal battle auto-combat and blitz-one (second is not just a bit longer than default autocombat and have all calculations done precisely).

Could you explain what happenned also? maybe we both are guilty. so next time plz set auto-combat in menu to never, and if you feel brave enough to make AI battle for you click the auto button INSIDE BATTLEFIELD and answer "Resolve battle instantly?" as Yes.

Amethyst Upgrades should be last
WoG Plus should be first after WoG Revised
rest somewhere between.

Copy "creatures" folder from "mods/Amethyst Upgrrades/data" to "data"
If you still have Amethyst error on start copy Amethyst.cfg to heroes3/data

EDIT: Last = top on the mods manager OR first on list.txt

It must be Exorcism Penalty (if you use exorcism from bad stack) attacking dead stack.  Thanks !
EDIT: nope... it seems not possible.

EDIT: which hero do you use? were it Exorcism specialist?

EDIT: do you use any "fixing" scripts? they may be trying to fix same thing as me. do you try or opponent try doing something unusual? like  ressurecting non living units or  attacing dragons with magic arrow?

EDIT: please try new version of script but i don't know if  it makes sense (changes very minor, but it may be  it)

EDIT: pleaaase say how to reproduce  it?

It happened when i play with Inferno hero Zydar and my army has units from amethyst mod (3rd upgraded). I guess it happended with succubus but i am not sure. Yesterday i played just with Inferno but i expirience just a crash without any error screen.

I have already your last version of your mods because i watch them every day for updates. Every time i test last version.
But i try to play more to find exactly the condition of crashing and i will tell more details.

ReMagic Lite is tweaked Core of ReMagic + Reinforcements spell. It lacks a few minor things from remagic but IDK which part of them I could port. The ReMagic thing is done via txt files, which I tweaked a bit, removing crucial ReMagic incompability with my mods (or any mods that touches summonning  spells).

If you can point me things from ReMagic which I can safely port, please point me them :)


EDIT: Zydar? that one with Sorcery speciality? perhaps this is the case? how often it happens? does it happen with another spec heroes? does it happen while fighting wild creatures or AI heroes or both? does Zydar have exorcism (Resistance)?
How often it happpens? does it still happen when you disable

EDIT: I just fixed a bug you probably not noticed... but crucial.
now I undestand that  you just were fighting Zyndar against wild creatures... but which ones? which spells do you use? do you use ammo cart? does it happen always, always on condition or randomly? does Zydar have Resistance/Exorcism skill? did you seen animation which looks like Prayer spell? which creatures did you have in army? When exactly it crashes? on battle begin? on first turn of battle? later? during attacking/counterattack? during spell casting?

Remember that before first start of Amethyst Upgrades or after upgading it you have to copy amethyst.cfg file and Creatures folder to h3eraMainFolderdata

I cannot reproduce your crash but it may be some nasty  DivideByZero bug or something... if it doesn't happen in predictable way... :F

EDIT2: were there Pit Masters in either army? I mean upgrade of Pit Fiends/Pit Lords?

EDIT3: could you upgrade your mods and start over again? some things gets loaded only in game start and not on F12

EDIT4: I had glitch in SG hook, fixed :)

Hi! I see something strange with health of enemy creatures. For examples, 20 wandering royal griffin beats an 3 weeks of recruits of inferno town with creatures between level 1 to level 5 in first week of the game. It is true that i have random heroes mod, but when i attacked a group of royal griffin remains with 25 health, and, without first aid tent, next turn, after i hit it again he has 33 health and no griffin died. The health is growing at some moment of battle, with the amound of damage reveived. So, i was beaten by 20 royal griffin, with a huge army.
Possible to be from Knightmare Heroes special heros power or from Flasheater option from Era Scrips

I found another problem with Knightmare Heroes: I have Castle town with town guardian, and i was attacked by rampart hero and when a rampart 3rd upgraded creatures hits my guardian appear this error:

ERM command has a wrong syntax. Skiped.

It was not saved, but it wrote something about only evel units hits. Erm Hook era dll.

Another error:

It's because the Enchanter script has serious error

pls wait until I finish first beta of amethyst2 plugin, then intermediate version of amethyst upgrades :|

EDIT: please check now you need to download amethyst upgrades again and  replace old folder (not overwrite just remove old and place new).

Did you do clean install? (removed old Amethyst Upgrades then installed new ones)

Did you start new game?

PS: I changed today amethyst2 a few times, plz try another time. I removed about 2-3 crashbugs.

PPS: amethyst2 plugin is incompatile with old amethyst and may be  uncompatible with several UN:C scripts or some  plugins

EDIT: there may be an error in catapult script which makes it  incompatible but i don't think so... do you have Knightmare War Machines on?

EDIT2: you have to  upgrade BOTH Amthyst Upgrades and Knightmare Heroes :| sorry about non fixed spec images

sorry i cannot reproduce your error. Your crashlog points on unused space. I need exact conditions of your crash...

maybe you use incompatible mod or plugin?
please list your mods or try  with minimal setup (WoG + WoG Revised + WoG PLUS + Knightmare Mods + Amethyst Upgrades).

EDIT: there is minor incompatibility  between battlefield balista and exorcism script. but on my side it doesn't lead to crash, just balista exorces itself (because magog is evil)
it  seems part of the pattern is ballistics on hero SS list

EDIT2: fixed ballistics/exorcist glitch, please update the mods (change is in Knightmare Heroes)

Sorry I really can't reproduce the crash. I fixed catapult/exorcism glitch there also were crashbugs in older amethyst2, but now it should be really okay.
Khadras please prepare a map file (*.h3m) with heroes and SS and armies to reproduce error.
I believe the problem is script incompatibility with another mod or even plugin incompatiblity.
I will check more wog options but still :|

And yeah there is something wrong with zcrtraits.txt - nothing  to crash but causes game imbalance should be updated today thanks to fandor.

Waaaaiting for my helper for  new version of zcrtraits.txt :|
and do you have necromancy.cfg in proper place? else it would do some crashes

I want to thank you because you really try to fix all bugs. Other mod makers are not so flexible like you. And i like your stile very much.

To reproduce the crash you must have all the mods from my list and my settings.dat file. Like i said sometime in the past, i can not test a mod just with that mod enabled in the list because i try to find more compatible mods to play at once. Knightmare Heroes is a very beautiful mod and i hope we can find the problem with the game crash. I will disable every mod until i will find the conflict, and then may be you can fix it.

And where should be placed necromancy.cfg? And what is its purpose?

it is input file for amethyst2.dll it says which creature is necromancy result
first line - necroing  without artifact: basic advanced expert
second line - necroing with artifact: basic advanced expert

the new  amethyst2.dll searches for mods Amethyst Upgrades then Knightmare Kingdoms then it failsafes to heroes3era\data

while mod name is exactly "Amethyst Upgrades" you don't have to worry of copying necromancy.cfg and ametyst.cfg fles and  creatures folder

SSS is part of Knightmare Heroes

Fast Battle Animation
Undead Ghosts
are included in Amethyst Upgrades
(Undead ghosts is part of the script, and Amethyst Upgrades  use own cranim.txt, you may  chooose between slow and fast, fast is default (replace cranim.txt with cranim_slow.txt or cranim_fast.txt to change either  side)

Enhanced Magic Skills is very probably incompatible with  Knightmare Heroes. If you wish more funny spells get ReMagic Lite, it's poorer version of  ReMagic but  proved compatible with Knightmare Heroes and Amethyst Upgrades.

I will check your settings.
PS: current AU has spoiled some stats of creatures it would be  fixed soon
PPS: Knightmare Heroes already addressed problems of SS and Specialities so you won't regret EMS. If you  regret, please talk to me what I should port

EDIT: Disable these  options
-quick combat battle options (use autocombat, you may choose if you play instantly or watch)
-leave troops (unsupported yet, lack datafiles)
-demolish buildings (my mods use rightclicking  on buildings, you may use it on your own risk)
-sylvan centaur creation (sylvan centaur is now weaker and is some of centaur upgrades)

second page:  disable new Battlefields - or use Morn Battlefields mod,  please disable battle extender.

third page - disable: espionage, rebalanced hero abilities

last page - IDK good or bad

I'll try on your settings and my mods, then I maybe will download something

EDIT: fix the settings, then remove "Enchanced Magic Skills" then say if it works

EDIT2: you need to have Knightmare Heroes below EMS if it should work, because of overlapping files, if it still doesn't work remove EMS

EDIT: You have old EMS (New ones  are divided into separate scripts), and I am almost sure that Sorcery Damage Buff one is incompatible with Knightmare Heroes

You should definitely update Enhanced Magic Skills and just use the mods you want.

Sorcery damage buff makes very small change to WOG script: 30 wog - enhanced secondary skills.erm. It can be very low in priority.
