I see. The following files
21 wog - neutral units.erm
34 wog - emerald tower.erm
42 wog - mithril enhancements.erm
require a few files from old WoG mod:
78 wog - wogify.erm
I would include it in the mod installer itself, so that scripts depending on macro-variables like $spell$ and $once$ can be used without enabling WoG Scripts mod, which have many scripts optimized and rewritten.

So if I include 78 wogify.erm that would allow compatibility with both Era 3.0 and 3.9? Only one file?

Nope, is legit. There is message before playing to pick artifact as starting bonus, so you don't waste a devil. All good artifacts are prohibited anyway, so we start with crap as usual.

I recall one message in that area, where you suggested to use an Archdevil to block the access to the tent, it didn't include the artifacts part.
But you surely know your map better then I do.

The reason I won't ever make other maps for WoG is the direction Era takes. I won't spend another year working on something which will become obsolete and unplayable weeks after release.
