- An old bug is back. It's impossible to create any custom hero.


- When playing a skirmish game, it's possible to select "random hero" for computer players, why can't human players select it ?

In duel Inferno Vs Inferno when oponent use gating and you cast armageddon the damage are inflicted only on the gating structures!!!!!!
WTF!!!!
I tested it twice!

Yes it is, as i said in other thread the more i play duels with patch 2.1 the more i am discouraged as there are so many bugs and they are game breaker...

I go back to the duels for further investigations

And how is it bug exactly? Did you even read Armageddon spell description?

Bugs
As I mentioned earlier:
1. Dungeon Town Screen: City Hall and Capitol have the same image (City Hall has wrong one)

2. Dungeon Town Screen: Faceless basic dwelling has upgraded dwelling image (so another two buildings have the same image)

3. Staff of Netherworld: when I place shortcut of Netherbane on combat UI and also shortcut for Firebolt spell (I didn't try other dam spells shortcuts), and use Netherbane icon, game instead put Firebolt on cooldown and I can use Netherbane again in next turn (which is one use per combat ablility)

Bug: Shadow Panther invisibility + fireball



As you can see on this picture, if you hover over "invisible" units of SP you can clearly see where are those hiding and use the spell to strike them precisely.
Not a major issue but its not fair! Poor cats

Dungeon racial gauge fills when a non-native creature makes a no retaliation attack too.
Its clearly a bug because for example haven`s racial gauge doesn`t fill when non-natives get morale.

If a creature is protected by Feign Death (Might-Tear I ability for Dungeon) and is the last VISIBLE creature, and it gets hit..AI locks up.

Minor bug, but bug nonetheless : they mixed up some reputations for premade heroes.

Sylsai is tears instead of blood and Menan is blood instead of tears.

Not sure if that's a bug, but I just can't figure out how Lorelei's speciality is of any use. She adds +5 magic power to Assassins/Shades ... a unit that has no magic power

When the world is painted in Shades of Darkness...

I have encountered a graphical bug that, so far, has triggered three times:

1. At the start of Sorshan's story, the first scene after the intro. I could avoid it by pushing skip very fast, the Triumvirate discussion then started perfectly and I could play with normal colours.

2. ... and then Raelag reached the surface, and when he said "The light! Ugh..." everything became dark.

3. Before the expansion, the bug triggered whenever the Dragon Eel Hay Ryou (?) appeared in Irina's Campaign, but also when Sandor had to fight it in the little pond in his 3rd scenario.


Effects:
When the bug triggers the whole computer becomes corrupted. If it try to load a game that had normal colours when I saved it, it becomes dark. Outside H6 everything is gloomy, as if the Screen Brightness was reduced (and I have it on max). The effect last until I restart the computer.

Solution?:
Before the expansion I managed to get out of the darkness by playing some turns to autosave, save normally, restarting, playing with normal colours, saving different games, and eventually reload the Irina/Sandor campaign game.

I haven't been able to do that again in Shades of Darkness.

Any suggestions?


EDIT:

I found a solution!

Since the bug seems to be triggered by cut scenes, dialog boxes and other changes, I started to suspect that my graphic card - which is supposed to automatically start when it's needed to deal with advanced 3D (a battery saving function) - perhaps wasn't fast enough in turning itself on and off when changing between the game itself and its story boxes.

When I changed the graphic card settings to Always On the game began to work as it should (so far).

It's nevertheless weird because I have played with the automatic on/off for a year before the expansion, with the only trouble being the Sea Dragon. Perhaps that was another bug related to the dragon files rather than the graphic card.

After patch 2.1:

- Something is wrong with the top left island on the first Dungeon campaign map. The game froze many times for me when loading saves (after a few seconds in game) there. I thought the freezes were omnipresent, but fortunately those only happened on that island (at least to this point of the campaign, I'm on the second map )

- sometimes the game freezes (there is sound, but black screen), when I enter some battles, load a game before it, and start it again in a short time...

- the problem with "funny" moving cursor is still there (though not as irritating as before)

ArmorMan sent me a message wondering how to change graphical settings because he had the same problem as me with the darkness. I post my response here so that other people can see it too.


Btw, I don't know what they call the menues in a computer using English and these are my translations from Swedish. I hope you can navigate through this anyway.


1. Open the control panel

2. Open the section about screens, printers, sound etc. The icon shows a printer and a speaker.

3. Open NVIDIA's control panel.

4. In the list in the part to the left you should click on a menu called Manage 3D Settings or something like that.

5. In the biggest part of the window there's now a smaller square. In the flap called Global Settings there's a list where you can Select graphics processor. When I click on it I have three alternatives:

- Automatic
- High prestanda NVIDIA processor
- Integrated Graphics

I used to have Automatic (which automatically changes between NVIDIA and Integrated graphics), but now my high prestanda NVIDIA processor is always on.

6. When you have selected High prestanda NVIDIA processor push the use/apply/ok/done button att the bottom of the control panel.

7. Then I started the game and enjoyed the beautiful landscape.

It's not just the spell cost multiplier that goes wrong in savefiles. There are similar errors in walking distance and treasure, and probably others, too.

This makes the game currently unplayable.

Are you saying that the walking distance increase with save/Load game or decrease?
I don't understand the meaning of the treasure bug... can you explain please!
I'm currently playing custom map and i only noticed the spell cost multiplier when you have a dynasty weapon.
