Druidstone is GONE! Huraray!!! I couldn't be happier. Also another I hated playing against was Shudderwock Shaman. This is best Christmas present for me, hihihi. Kingsbane is also dead, wow. I never minded the Odd Paladin as much although it has had the best win percentage.

I would have cut Druid card draw instead of ramping up. But I will take this change. This brings me finally back to Hearthstone.

Don't get me wrong, I dig the changes. Although in reality I don't play the game that much to really feel the toxicity of the meta. Just feeling that Team 5 should really rethink their approach when designing cards. They print busted cards like UI (cus it's fun!), and suddenly ramp cards become really unbalanced. Classic cards limit design space? No, it's more like OP cards make Classic cards stand-out. I might be wrong here as I don't remember exactly, but when I started playing Hearthstone, Nourish was considered a slow card and wasn't played that much or I just didn't see it in decks that I played against.

Oh well, Hunter-stone will become even more apparent, so new nerfs will soon follow (I think Lesser Emerald Spellstone is a likely candidate).

What took me by surprise was how fast they implemented these nerfs almost immediately after announcing them. And they are the most massive one we have probably ever have, effectively killing 3 dominant archetypes. If this is the new, more hands on approach to balancing, then I look forward to the future.

And I couldn't agree more with you on the Nourish/UI issue. UI was the card that broke, or at least started the brokenness, of Druid. Nourish was trash before that, because no one could spend 5 mana and a card doing nothing. Add there that the current Druid gets armor more easily than warrior (and cards that synergize with armor gain), and there was no longer no reason not to run all ramp cards you can fit into your deck.

I sometimes read Hearthstone related pages out of curiosity and what I find funny and even sad is that for all the people that find the nerfs satisfying there are a lot of people whining how Blizzard "made them" loose dust rending cards like Kingsbane "useless"... and not refunding them, while they crafted Kingsbane so they could play the meta. And a lot of people have this mentality. So for each person seeing some decks too oppressive there is another one who finds this oppressiveness ok, cus they are f2p players and don't have dust for anything other. And they lack self-awareness ("nerf=auto-trash" mentality). They can only build net-decks not even evaluating if a card still can be played with success. For instance I think Kingsbane decks can still be strong, but ofc no one will play them now cus nerfs. In this case I can understand why devs don't "listen" to the community. Gamers have really become entitled in some cases.

Btw I think if Blizzard really wanted to do something with the dust refund policy, I think the simplest way would be to change the disenchant value ratio: give back half of a cards dust cost for instance (800/200/50). I think that would be fair. Ofc people would cry "give me back all the dust since before the re-evaluation" then.

It is true Blob in the beginning NO ONE played Nourish. It sucked. It was just not that useful.

I agree with you. A lot of cards come out way to OP, where they should have balanced them better before release.

These nerfs were really insane. I still think they should work more on a nerf and/or buff mentality. I do think it is a more positive way of doing it. Some cards could get a facelift and others could get +1 mana cost. Just do it a little different pls.

To tell you the truth I've played Taunt Druid a few times after the nerfs. I don't see a significant drop in it's power after removing one Nourish and one Wild Growth from the deck (leaving only one of each). You can also use Witchwood Sprite as a mana engine. Ofc I don't play ladder, maybe the difference is visible on higher competitive level...

Man, WSOE semifinals were bonkers fun. I laughed my ass off so hard at those game 5s, it was unreal. The RNG in this game... HAKKARSTONE!

Same here. Tried a few runs and quit. I don't know if I even want to finish it just for the cardback. RNG completly destroys the playing expierience, as it's a total slot machine. Either you crush AI opponents or they crush you. Nothing in-between. Plus it's very repetetive. Hitting jackpot 8-times in a row is too time consuming for me...

EDIT: No seriously, f-u Team 5. Rumble Run is by far the most bs mode they made to date. How can you beat snowballing tailor-made AI decks when you have snow like Ancestors Call in hand? Answer: you can't. The only way is to have some OP bs yourself. The only valid thing I found is the (2) mana cheaper Shaman Frog shrine with Unstable Evolution, which costs 0 mana an can be played infinitely. Simple combo: Call in the Finishers + Unstable Evolution. Well, that is if you actually get it in the picks and manage draw it...

This beats even the hardest Adventure bosses and I can fully put my signature under the voices that demand those be brought back. Team 5 can go f themselves with such unbalanced "fun" expieriences that give you an "incredible" reward of a cardback... been a long time since I've been so furious with this game after wasting 2h trying to finish this...

Happy New Year in Hearthstone!

Wtf is this? Freeze Mage? Quest Mage? Please bring back Mill decks and Thief Priest and I will be soooooooooo happy!

...

Not.

EDIT: So, I got lucky and got Zentimo and Hakkar in a pack... but I have completly no idea where to use them. Anyone have ideas for some kind os Spell Shaman or decks with Hakkar?

EDIT 2: I just can't belive how unlucky one can get in this game Decided to give Rumble Run one last try. Last boss, Hooktusk with double spell Shrine. Snowbally, but relatively easy compared to possible options. Unstable Evolution in hand (and Frog Shrine that reduces the spell cost), four minions on board, turn 4 so everything is set up for a super tempo swing that will probably win me the game. I start to cast UE on first minion...

...summons the 5/5 Spider that raises the cost of spells by (2).

It's actually a good material for a meme.

EDIT 3: It seems Rumble Run will be nerfed a bit in a new patch. Very good. Maybe now I'll finish it. I seriously considered writing to Blizzard to get their s*it together with this mode. LOL, finished the Run with ease on the first try after the "nerf".

Apparently Blizzard sent some surveys asking how people feel about Hearthstone. The same thing happened to Heroes of the Storm before and it was practically scrapped. Supposedly Heartshtone bombed financialy in last year. R.I.P Heartshtone.
