I get that but the item does appear in multiplayer as well so that's what I mean. Is there a way to block it from being available in multiplayer? Same as Armageddons Blade is blocked?

+1 for minor changes in some skills and maybe spells and artifacts.
I have read arguments against it for some pages and id say: some i can follow, some i cant, and some are just purely "thats how i like it and period", cant really tackle such an argument.
I think out of following perspective: I played the game back in the days a lot in hotseat with a friend (where balancing didnt matter to us anyway), but even then, being younger, we found some things just ricicoulusly strong/weak/strangely_designed (why would i ever skill Leadership when there are 1232134 items giving me morale and i can only have 3 max? --> this ring that gives 3morale 3luck.. lol)
In the present, this friend and other friends of mine started playing online 1on1s and we just found out pretty quickly, that some things are so much off, that playing without rules seems near pointless. In a scenario where one player manages to get dd (air exp) and tp (earth exp), and the other DOESNT, the game is over. Period. That sucks, at least in our opinion. And theres quite some other stuff going on into that same direction.
(Offcourse we are not on pro lvl. Maybe things are again a little different then, when games are over in max 3 weeks (or smth like that) anyway. Well, ours dont tend to take up very much longer either, and we found so many things.. Logistic specialty is banned on all boards ive found so far for a very good reason, just another example)
I may try to tackle some popular arguments against changes:
1) "We dont want every skill to be equally powerful/"the same"".
Can follow that logic to some extent, Homm3 has allways been a game with skills which are "mandatory (like earth magic for instance) and skills which are 100% garbage (like First Aid)
Now, nobody wants to change "First Aid" to be the new earth magic. But what would it actually hurt to buff "First Aid" in a way, that it becomes actually viable at least in SOME situations.
(To elaborate: I once tried out the Fortress Hero with First Aid specialty. It even sais in the text (of advanced First Aid skill): The tent will heal 30HP extra (or something like that). I thought this could maybe be viable, given you can get Wyverns early on, maybe it will allow some more aggressive plays. But the point is: It didnt even do what the skill text said. I had plenty of Rounds where the First Aid healed THREE Hitpoints (and yes, there were way more missing to the Wyvern than this).
So, if even that guy with specialty "First Aid" is absolutely zero viable with this skill, again my question: What does it hurt to buff this skill to an extent where it becomes viable in SOME SCENARIOS at least?
And you can apply the same logic to the skills Learning and Eagle Eye (at least) and in some extent maybe also Mysticsm.
2) I actually find it amusing that i read this argument here and there (AGAINST changes, lol):
"We dont want decisions on which skill to take to be made easyer!/Less interesting!"
Now.. thats interesting. Since Homm3 is a no brainer in the question of "What skill will i take given the 2 choices at lvl up?". Like, honestly, there is absolutely almost NEVER a situation where you will have to think or adapt the given choices to what is happening on the map / in the game.
It suggests you Earth Magic and Eagle Eye? You take Earth magic. It suggests you Logistic and Ballistics? Guess what you will take. In 99,9% of the cases. Theres just some skills you will allways take and some you will never take. Very few that you _sometimes_ will take, and mostly you will do that for lack of better options.
Thats actually my main argument for some skill(and spell and artifact) tweaks: Making Game decisions a little more interesting, having to adapt to the running game and the map a little more in questions of hero design, supporting different and new strategies.
I understand the philosophy of Hota Team though and i can appreciate them for having it their way, its still a great expansion. I feel like they will introduce some changes in the future that i will like (as i allready totally like all their balance changes so far). People still have options of ruling their MP game. I really would like to see some redesigns on some skills like logistics, some of the magics (or more their spells). But that wont be happening i guess. Fine

Can anyone tell me how to do custom teams when playing offline? In WOG you could choose which colours where on the same team, can you do the same in HOTA?

you can load the autosave and let the week pass again. there s a big chance that the plague week wont occur again

If you are talking about Cloak then it is banned by all multiplayer rules and will be probably blocked for assembling on certain templates

Yea, talking about Cloak. What do you mean it is banned by multiplayer rules? Where do you actually play this multiplayer? I'm sorry to ask these stupid questions but I always only played on LAN or hot seat. Can I play with others somehow? Asking this cause Cloak is available on random maps. I have a saved game where one of my 3 heroes is wearing it and has reached about 6k Liches so far
Now please elaborate on that multiplayer or pass me the link cause it would be cool if I could play against someone

Oh yeah I know that, but it's pretty inconvenient if you had a huge battle after your turn in the final day of the month, wins the battle and then get a plague, then you can either accept or reload and do it all over again, which may or may not lead to the same result.
gatecrasher said something about cheats though, wonder what he meant...
But I guess I'll just play without monster/plagueweeks.

What plague weeks? I haven't any in HotA... maybe it's HD mod but I never had any plague at all. Only moongose, squirrel or other neutral stuff, no monster weeks either...

Maybe it's disabled in RMG, I don't know as I never play it, but in map editor you can enable monster/plague weeks or not, it's a HotA feature.

No plagues benefits me as much as it benefits the enemy, there is nothing worse than plagues, it also ruins the point of Ramparts treasury.
But I'm fine, I'll just play without them and I won't use cheats.

Just noticed that you actually can see the date and time for the save games already. Which was pretty much what I was looking for. Guess I should look harder next time. :-P

it's not map from RoE, isn't it?
I mean to take maps from RoE and edit them only a bit :
Something like that:
- change mine keepers to random monsters -(only near player starting position)
- more decoration objects, sometimes there are empty spaces in the maps, it looks bad
- added some of new Hota content ( I'm not saying that we have to put there all new buildings but few per map- like Cannon Yard or Colosseum of the Magic - wouldn't change balanse or gameplay of the map but make it fresher.
- put some HotA's weak artefacts inside
General gameplay shouldn't change so location of towns, patchs, border guardians etc. stay where they are.
Is it possible to edit map from heroes campaign in easy way? Few years ago i played Heroes Chronicles ( as user campagin for SoD not separate game. It was exacly the same - how they made it?)

It is. I modified it heavily, I also didn't like empty spaces, so I covered up the entire map with extra objects. I modified the terrain around inferno main castle and Steadwick for fun.

Back then, without exporting heroes between scenarios I won this map with unbelievable luck (or rather thanks to computer stupidity ). It would be nice to replay all RoE maps with new rules, all those shiny decorations, improved AI and of course on impossible level. I am for it!
