Interest! I banned blind, forcefield, etc My Magician, Warrior, and Master (HotA) map. But I slipped total ban. I would have to ban towns. I think I take off, and replace SoD. And I add on notepad, I explain that people were downloaded fast, I haven't had time to update map. Now's incomplete map.
Otherwise you can't play against legion than strong tactics. A small chance.

Decoupling mass haste/slow from level 1 is the only nerf I support. HoMM2 did it right, mass haste/slow simply belong at higher tiers. Like 3. Almost all t3 spells are garbage so adding useful ones would be a nice change.

As mass versions Haste/Slow would be perfect at level 3 and at a higher mana cost, but their effect is still too powerful. Look at Prayer it's level 4 and has LESS effect than Haste/Slow. Plus not only do they cancel each other, they REPLACE each other, which kinda makes them twice as powerful!

Depends how they're doing it. The jump in effect between Advanced and Expert for any spell that gets a mass effect at Expert is rather too big.

Either way, moving mass slow to Level 3 might be also bad for gameplay. Because... getting desired Level 1 spells is rather easy. Getting desired level 3 spells is less easy.
Meaning that we add another RNG layer to the game. Fishing for mass slow. And for maps like JC, people get tomes anyway so it changes nothing.
The effect is mostly too powerful to skip.
So I'm kinda torn on this one.
In HoMM2, mass slow was actually a level 4 spell. And it was still greatly sought after.

Hello all,
I understand the points about how 'Mass' spell effects are too powerful for their spell point cost and I do not contest this. However, and I am speaking as a non-multiplayer here, I would be fine with a dramatic increase in spell point costs for casting Expert level Earth, Air, Water and Fire spells like doubling the cost to cast 'Basic' spells, tripling the cost for 'Advanced' and quadrupling the cost for Expert. For spells like Dimension Door instead you could have the second casting on a hero's turn doubled, the third casting tripled, 4th quadrupled and something similar for Town Portal.
But I think any changes (or most changes) should be select-able 'options' for the individual player. I am still mad that Azure Dragons were removed from HotA (at least in random maps. I know you can still create a map with these placed by the map-maker.), unless I am 'mis-remembering' something that never was a feature of randomized maps and I am confusing created maps with Azure Dragons.
BTW, somewhat off-topic but I thought the HotA update with the new 'Factory' town was due in December?! Is it going to be late?

Just had a game yesterday with crystal dragons in it, and they're the same lvl (10) as Azures, and I've never read anything about Azures not spawning in Hota. Epic dragons can sure spawn especially in jebus. If you're creating maps with default template, they are rare there.

1) Factory will not be released this year, and I heard it's unlikely to happen in January as well.
2) Hota always releases their biggest patches in the last day of the year, so we're still expecting something to come out today.

I agree with this. I always liked that HotA kept the original spirit of the game, only changing some numbers and adding new stuff that fit really well into the game. But I was extremely annoyed when they completely changed the resistance skill for no reason (I mean it seemed neither OP nor useless). I don't play competetive MP, so I can't talk about the balance and I thought, maybe I would get used to it over time. But the skill "feels" so much worse (or boring) compared to the old one. I mean it was the only skill that had a visual effect in combat.
If I wanted completely changed skills and spells I could just play WoG.
(Don't get me wrong, the HotA Team still did a great job with everything else)

Yeah I hate the new Resistance skill too, I play with the original Resistance skill.
HotA decided to change Resistance and completely ignored Learning, Eagle Eye, First Aid, Mysticism and Ballistics, it makes no sense.

Its so stupid to write this all your "ideas" all over again i dont get it. The topic of "rebalanc" skills its on the other site ( Besides its about ideas and plans but most people crying about skills and balance of the game,school magic ) but still wen some person some say thinks about ehhh old Resistance was to much RNG. Get the new one and the crying even more becouse all game allways based on Earth Magic right now (dont know what you expected tho) Coments about skills and magic should be deleted on this page. Funny that game its more about RNG and not heaving skil. HOTA team for sure will do something about this but stop you guys saying all over some same sh*t

I've never heard anyone complain about the original Resistance, but I have heard complaints about the HotA version.
Why is luck suddenly not an acceptable factor? I guess we should disable Leadership, Luck, Fortune, Misfortune, Mirth and Sorrow too, cause they are "too random" and have all players have the same starting bonus and try to eliminate as many instances of luck as possible.
Well that is one way to make a game really boring.

Simple examples like streamers crying all night becouse old resistance was too much RNG and mostly becouse it was luck. There are some changes that many people dont want to change its so complicated mechanism that you dont even know how stupid change for eagle eye can change all game. I recomendy You playing that i trying to play insted of rushing earth magic,logistic,offense try to pick scouting inteligent or fire magic You will see that you will enjoy more of playing that. We can talk this all night You know that, Besides talking some same stuff like balanced magic,skills and others,i would like to talk about maybe in future new factions,new units,new campanings,new heroes that appears in other Heroes 1-4 games or Might and Magic. The topic its about skills and magic theres nothing else to talk about. Dear developers will something fix in the future dont worry. Peace !
