"Comrades, I will also request that you check our new friend for weapons or other tools it may use to cause us harm ((spell components, poisons, etc...)). I believe it would be ill-advised to leave such items on its person."

Everyone but Nathanial ((who got a hoooooooooooooorrible perception check  )) would hear a tiny, somewhat fiendish voice pipe up, "Whew, glad that's over! Way to win for the good guys, am I right?" The small cockroach from before was standing up, looking at all of the party with its antennae perked in the most cheerful manner and the dagger still through its tiny body. Almost as if noticing this itself, the fiendish creature said, "Uh... by the by... a little help here? I'd pull it out myself but... noooooo thumbs."

"That's the weirdest thing I've ever seen." Ciaran said. She then proceeded to disarm and check the clothes/ body of the void creature. She took away anything of even the slightest value and threw away everything else. She then lifted the body and slung it over her shoulder. "All right, we have our prisoner. Do we take the little guy too? Someone else is gonna have to carry him, my hands are full." she said, smirks galore. She suppressed the urge to sneak a fat wink at nathaniel this time, but at a more opportune moment she'd be sure to manage it.
"Also, Feather, haven't had the chance yet, but thanks for speaking up against that voidwalker. I was at a loss for words. They're alien creatures."

Feather thought about commenting about, maybe even squishing, the roach, but decided not to since Vorbrin was glad to have it around.

The cockroach seems to immediately regret speaking up at this point, and its antenna flatten back against its head in a meek manner. "U-um... w-wait! No! I am the dead... er... bleh!" And with that it fakes dying. And fools absolutely no one.
Ciaran's search of the body recovers two more throwing knives, reveals that this void walker is in fact female (it was hard to tell under the heavy cloak and studded leather armor, a bit more easy underneath) and uncovers no personal items of any kind. Not one piece of jewelry, no pictures or books, no journals, no makeup... nothing. Just a water skin, some rations and the weapons. And even the rations look like they will be bland and unappetizing, let alone how then smell.

"Sorry, miss." Ciaran said as she equipped the knives for her own use. Knives are pretty handy tools. She slung the waterskin over her shoulder. She pocketed the rations and picked up the weapons. "All right, guys, our little lady here has no documents on her and has some foul-smelling food I pokcheted in case we have to stave off cannibalism. Something is better than nothing, I suppose." She picked up the hog-tied voidwalker and fireman carried her.
"Anyone need the weapons? I am not interested in carrying those around."

Feather checked out the knives, and noticed that they looked like they would throw well. "I could use them. Though, if only they were magical darts that didn't break so easily after use. I do wonder if they're magical anyway."
Whether or not she received the knives, Feather then looked over to the other void walker. "Maybe we should loot that one too. See if anything is salvageable there. Plus the one up ahead." With that, she went over to search the other one in their current area.

Carefully, Vorbrin pulled out the knife from the floor in a way that still left the cockroach impaled on it.
"Come now, don't be like that. We were having such a nice chat before. I'd appreciate it if you took a walk with us and and brighten up our day with a bit of pleasant conversation. And you know what the best part is? You won't even have to do the actual walking. I'm just going to carry you on this here knife and save you the trouble. That's how glad I am to see you."

In response, the little fiend's legs flailed about for a few seconds before it finally gave up. You can swear that you almost hear the fiendish cockroach's spirit breaking.
Your other outsider prisoner doesn't seem to be waking up just yet, and will likely be out for a few more hours. Nathanial's blow seems to have done quite a number on her.

Once the Exquisitor's wounds were healed to the degree that Vorbrin expressed himself satisfied, Nathanial went over to assist Feather in the hopes that the gear of the casualties might provide further clues as to why their assailants attacked them, and to pray for and tend to the dead as best he could under the circumstances.
((Also, we've already been attacked once so letting Feather wander off alone...probably a bad idea. ))

Upon finishing the looting, Feather stood and looked over Nathanial. "Well, the fire wasn't as close to Ciaran and I as I thought it'd be, but since we got these things ready, may as well use them. Let's get you ready so we can be off. Hopefully we can find a nice place for a quick rest, and ask some questions."

The tunnel didn't seem to have any new dangers, and the last corpse has more of the same. Some (relatively foul) food, a katana, and a small brace of throwing knives. As well, you find a compass and a small, empty journal that fits within the palm of your hand.
Meanwhile, the little cockroach flails its legs slightly, trying to wiggle off of the dagger and asks, "Can anyone help me out here? And what are you fine fellows doing here anyway?"

Vorbrin mused, completely ignoring the cockroaches plea for help, as he followed Feather and Nathanial, carrying the little creature at head height, "but I did say I'm in a good mood, so I'll answer. We are exploring this new world, meeting new friends along the way. Like yourself. And the one sister Ciaran is carrying on her shoulder (as you noticed we like easing the traveling of our friends). And a cursed dragon who calls himself Den. Maybe you know him?"

"Anyone want this thing?" Feather asked, setting the katana aside. If nobody else was to take it by the time they leave, she would. More for the slim possibility they would find some place to trade it for more darts or something to that affect. Sure, Den said there was no such place, but Feather decided to hope different.
The throwing knives she added to her arsenal. The food she set aside. Maybe one of the others would want to add the foul stuff to their collection, but she would rather have to rely on her survival abilities than worry about this food possibly contaminating the food she already carried.
With the compass, she decided to test it out with the map she had on her hand. She held the compass in the other hand, to get an idea of which way was north. She then moved the compass to the same hand as the map to see if the map would still be visible enough with it there.
And then the empty journal. she wondered why it was empty. She also wondered why it was there, if there was nothing to be used to write in it. At least nothing that she had noticed yet. Maybe it was magical writing. She stood, and turned to the others.
"I am wondering if this thing has magical writing on it. I haven't noticed anything to write on it otherwise. And maybe the writing can hide itself."

"Den, huh? Well... I'm not really sure what a Den is. A living dragon home maybe? I'd have to ask the higher ups about that one... which I can definitely do if you throw me into one of those big ol' fires and let me scamper off to ask around!" The little insect suggested, the tiniest note of hope in its voice. Because that would definitely be a good idea, right?
The compass in Feather's hand seemed to be rather broken. If the sunless sky had been any indication, north was in fact in the opposite direction the compass currently pointed, and no matter what way she turned it it continued to point in that direction. However, while holding it up to the map on her hand, she would notice that the map swiftly zoomed out to the point where it showed the three portals, and she would notice that it pointed at the portal that was in the desert. Perhaps it was attuned to find the closest portal?
The journal seems to be faintly magical, but Nathanial can't tell much about it beyond that. You do note that it has a bit of divination and transmutation magic within it, so there was likely a reason the void walker carried it. Perhaps it was a private journal, or a notebook that only a certain creature could read? Further study and the use of identification magic would be called for to figure out the finer details.

"I am uncertain, friend Feather." Nathanial refrained from passing on any more information; there were far too many potentially hostile ears nearby that might wish his compatriots ill. There was little to be done about their 'friend' in the map, but he at least intended to wait until the demon roach was suitably disposed of before sharing information that was likely to keep in any case.
