i have an idea: since its really problematic to enlarge current dragons, why dont we get standing dragons like h2-h3? ...to not collide with neighboor squares you know. its possible to enlarge them when they just stand on 2 feets and this way they cover less ground. and when you think about it, maybe even without enlargement, they will automaticly give impression of hugeness just because they come close to camera.
i realised this when i was drawing inferno town screen: it was impossible for me to design tower-like town spine because of 16:9... so i realised this kind of restriction is existing in creatures too.
a perfect example: titan.
when you design titan, you have no problem, because the square size doesnt restrict you in height, but you are very restricted in wideness. he stands as a slim, tall figure so you can enlarge him enough.
creatures that are huge, must follow this design philosophy.
is it possible to make dragons stand without changing the acctual model? maybe it isnt such a hard task?

Wtf just make the model larger while keeping wings at current size. Nobody cares about those crappy wings, we want a goddamn imposing black dragon

or just make the dragon a warfare unit and pump up its size! you can return faceless to its rightful place as a champion unit as the anti-angel  and while you are there, replace that minotaur with a nightmare, and the medusa with a shadow witch, and that trogodyte (which is cute btw) with an evil eye! oh and don't forget stalker, blood sister was always a nicer option! now that would feel like a true ashan dungeon. all about the darkness!

Wtf, if you're gonna bring in the black eyes ditch the trackers! Troglodytes are awesome!

It was the darkest of all (sex) Dungeons that we had in Heroes franchise. Just look at the clothes! At least DE have lost their obsession with BDSM fashion.

Hmm i could go with a troglodyte,assassin,beholder,dark witch,nightmare,strider. Blood sisters are equally fun to watch with the troglodytes... You could genderbend though(see druid)
And instead of a dark witch(which doesn't have to be naked),a dark prophet would do. Just leave the minotaur out.. Pfff it'll have to do for now i guess

It's done. I've refunded my preorder. For all intents and purposes, I'm out. Might post here occasionally, but with my interest in H7 more or less gone, so does the rest of my Heroes interest wane.
I never go for a full "goodbye" or whatever since I still might post occasionally, but consider this an informal "don't expect to see me anymore" post.
So... uh... have fun... or don't, as is your prerogative. Hopefully H7 doesn't suck as bad as some people fear, and maybe the future will present a patched / enhanced version that I find more appealing.
And with that, I unofficially retire from the fandom.

It saddens me to see you go, that H7 hasn't brought you what you hoped it would be. All I can say is: it's your choice, what are we going to do about it?

What does your not-preordering-now attitude have to do with your withdrawal from HC? The community is not negative just for the sake of it. This should have been clear by now... guess it's not. Why the retirement?  Many are not satisfied, yet they are still here...

The community is negative for the sake of it sleeping_sun. He tried to like the game but the negativity and nitpicking here is exhausting and our friend here gets worn down easily. I recently fully realised that this community is extra strict when it comes to this game ,because they love it and want to see it perfect. So when someone says this game is a little less awful than h6(but still awful) it means it's generally good and so on. And trust me almost everyone here will get the game and eat it up. Maybe only verikker won't buy it. But as it happens with most homophobics being secretly gay,verikker might buy this game and play in the dark with his door closed.and post here as dis_irae or smth
I even bet that someone from here will conveniently "stumble upon" a free copy of the game or smth.

My overall interest with the Heroes series had fallen greatly since the days of Tribes of the East, and it was the potential of H7 that drew me back in again. I started playing H3 again, but I think I'm just not used to those games anymore. In fact, a lot of games from my childhood just don't click anymore. Every time I buy a game off GOG, I play it for an hour or so before losing my interest again. Happened with Heroes 3, happened with Quest for Glory, happened with Battle Chess. My tastes have changed, but nostalgia hooks me back in... for a short time. There are exceptions, like "Majesty: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim", but for the most part, I struggle to reinvest myself in a series I've more or less dropped... and that's what's happened with Heroes.
