I thought you gave it a 7/10.
And even then they called me overly generous. By comparison, 88% looks like shameless public ass kissing.

As can people be. Could be they just got a never-seen before patch that eradicates spiders and makes the whole game... fun.
But to be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if money was being misused in that report. A bit here and there, to create that review.
But review is based on opinions, right? And opinions are just subjective and add nothing notable. At least to some people around here.

Speaking about misused money, how in the world did they chose to invest most of the budget in the graphics department but then have no animations for the council's round table? Are you kidding me? And no tutorial when your main target for the game is composed of 80% new players? Just what the actual snow man.

yeah i'm sold already,I'll buy it next week, but i'm dying to see if the game is bug free(not talking about balance) after one week of release!!I mean it's intriguing because facts show that there is good chance, but history suggests otherwise... almost better than a horror movie will it make it alive??
to certain people i'd wish they would buy, play and enjoy the game, thus making this forum tolerable again. boo-ing from the sidelines, without having played the game extensively (or at all) making everyone else, who wants to enjoy and share, feel bad, is not cool.
waiting for delecious mods

Ouch. That part when council members are talking to each other with weird poses and no lipsync was cringeworthy.

Not to add fuel to the fire, but damn that looks embarrassingly bad. Like they planned to make animations but run out of money halfway there.

They've made quite a bad decision by making these cut scenes (get it? ) pre-rendered. Probably doing them on UE3 would be way cheaper.
Speaking of tutorial - theycan simply make one map, where hero levels up, defeats another hero, conquers a fort and rebuilds it and that's it. Just add after the game starts a question "Are you a new player?" and if the answeris "yes", lead him directly to a tutorial. After finishing it player can continue playing freely. Make it simple, make it quick, but make it because sometimes it can be very helpful ( I still remember my first play of Heroes V, when I thought that Sylvan's castle is simply a decoration...)

Whatever happened to the non-intrusive tutorial? Why can't I get a game I have never played before, ignore the tutorial, and get my butt kicked in a normal game first? I mean there should be a tutorial but you shouldn't be forced to play it.

Thinking of Lich and Vampire? That's possible. Overall the game is obviously lacking decent budget, when you know it would only benefit two factions if all art was to be made from scratch.
So what is it? "If we spare you from a few of the most hated h6 reused assets you won't have animations for campaign scenes, and we let you find out during live stream?" What kind of mentality is that?

I'm more inclined to say that it's because it's german company and review. The one rule I always put to reviews is to check the country. I've seen plenty of magazine/sites give better scores for games coming from the same country compared to foreign reviews. I'm sure we'll see in a few days how the scores begin to average, currently scores seem to be around 7( plus/minus one).
