What "Here we go again"? I bet these reviews are where most of the h7 budget went. It's OK to like the game, it is not to lie with h3/h5 parallels, then claim it's the "best iteration of the series" LMAO

You can blame newer fans of the game for that. But, the most vocal fans of the series are the old ones. Omissions such as a tutorial, or better and more varied battlegrounds are not too bad, but they should have been easily implemented, or even added soon after release.
All in all, i will read these early reviews but pay them no mind. To review a game and be objective about it, you have to spent time n it and not play one or two maps, play one campaign and then write a review on just your first impression.
At least Stevie was a part of the beta and did say the review was of the beta and i expect him to enhance his review now that the game will come out officialy. And Stevie spent more hours than many of us on the game.

you misunderstand mate, he means he remembers how inadequate and delusional the reviews of the "8.25/10" Heroes 6 were because the games enthusiast press has been a ****show for a very long time, and this is a complete repeat of that incident, so "here we go again" lol

My collectors edition, shipped yesterday from Ireland (don't know why, but i bought the game via Uplay and the retailer that was assigned to sent me the game was in Ireland) and got to Germany. In Germany so far it has gone to two places. It is expected to arrive to me next Monday night, which translates to Tuesday or Wednesday and i can't even download the game from Uplay because i got a physical copy... So yay me

Well, that is the way I think  H6 reviews were a joke. And reading some of the H7 reviews reminded me of that. But, in the end, one should judge for himsef if he likes the game or not, before buying it. Making that decision based on reviews is not good thing, imo.

Ironically, companies place a lot of value in metacritic score. If H7 fared badly there, I wouldn't be surprised if some high executive pulled the plug. The corporate world works so very differently from ours..

For most people Metacritic is also a great substitute of actual reviews, as it shows a number with a colour attached to it, which in great shortcut presents game's quality. This is why they matter so much for gaming companies - they are a great and much cheaper way than standard advertising to boost sales.

So .. Did anybody have a look at the games rewards?
+ point apart from some artifacts, there is no gated content but more of a fun and aesthetic feeling
8 bit mode?

Well, I wish you good luck. Even if we tried to give the feedback to improve the game, the most important thing, I believe, is to cherish fun moments, even if they are small or minor.
