In spite of the fact I really love H7, this franchise needs new beginning to become more successful in the wide spectrum of players. It includes full support, good marketing 'new beginning', almost bug free release and probably new world too or to move after DM (that's a great opportunity for new beginning too).

Marzin brought a lot of good stuff in MM franchise since it end up in Ubi's hands. So shame that he left.
Maybe it was a real reason behin the cancellation of the stream?

Or Vivendi, which I personally prefer. Ubisoft doesn't treat M&M right, these past years have proven they think of it as a cash cow and not a franchise worth investing in. If it's of any indication, Heroes 7 was terribly underfunded, rushed and without appropriate devs, so I wouldn't give any of them my vote of confidence.

Well, what any of us prefers, is rather irrelevant. Ubisoft is a company, and within that company certain people are tasked with jobs. At this stage the people tasked with Might&Magic brand failed.
Doubtlessly, there will be an analysis what went wrong and what can be salvaged, if anything at all, which MIGHT result in a reboot.
I think, it's fairly obvious that you can assign smaller, inexperienced developers with unimportant experimental spin-offs, but that the flagship of the brand needs a top quality developer (which in itself means a higher budget). The question is, whether Ubisoft will be prepared to spend top dollars - or whether it will be Ubisoft who does the decisions at all.

Personally my only hope from some time ago is that some talented indie company would kickstarter a clone or something like that, as I don't think the Heroes and M&M games such as I like them have a place in that company.

They'll wait until HC supporters will naturally die out. Then they will be able to start with a clean sheet not bothered by those pesky haters

I tend to fault the developers, since I'm sure *I* could have designed a working heroes game, NO MATTER Ubisoft's input, like 7 magic schools.
It doesn't help, when the code is crap as well - which it seemingly is, because I don't think, I should encounter a bug meking it impossible to enter a game structure a year afzer first realease.
Of course, on the Ubisoft side they had to hire developers first, but still. If you trust an independent kickstarter to do it right, Ubisoft may trust an outfit like Limbic or BH as well.
