Well I kind of feel the same, but American date system IS more convenient for filing and sorting things - in fact, YYYY/MM/DD is best in this regard, because oldest will always go first.

Which is the Japanese way. 
Basically, for Americans, think of it saying "December Ninth, Two Thousand Fourteen" which gets condensed to 12/9/2014. However, you could also say "The Ninth of December" instead of "December Ninth", and thus 9/12/2014.
If you look at this forum (at least for me) it flat out says "December 02, 2014" for this post. We read it like that.

I really like the idea of this community Q&A  Sadly, I don't think I have any questions that haven't already been asked (or that they could answer).
Regarding this date discussion, when I write in English I always write the month's name in letters so that there is no confusion. Like 9 December 2014 or 9 Dec 2014. This seems the most fool proof to me.

Funny I actually never thought of it that way, but yeah that does make sense. In danish, you'd always say the date the other way around, 2nd of december, so for me the european feels very natural.

i asked my questions, and seen other good questions too. it can be a really good Q & A if devs take this seriously and answer highly upvoted ones.
BUT!
i think they will just answer very few of them, and they will do it in a very blurry way.
lets hope im wrong with my guess!

Same here. Even for filing stuff in an archive, the American date format is horrendous. Also note that some forums and websites make a sort of mix out of it ... they put dates in European format but then sort them as if they're American or vice versa. Try to find something in chronological order then .

Demons our out in HoMMVII Vanilla. The fans got to choose between Dungeon and Inferno. And Dungeon won.

Yeah but expansions are dependent of the vanilla sales which if you take an example like Heroes 6 that was considered successful and still had only one expansion and just a race as addon after which it was abandon (given that was buggy and broke to the point that fixing it would be a loss in money and time). I hope we get all the reaming factions like naga, dwarfs and inferno through expansions but ...
And on another note the only question I have for the upcoming Q&A is what measures will be taken to insure that a H5 and H6 lunch will never be repeated. Like how much testing , if we get a beta if they implement some supplementary measures to find out bugs like what Obsidian did for South Park game where they created a software specifically for finding out bugs etc.
I really hope that the game will be stable and playable from the get go because no amount of good intentions and promises could earn back the good faith of fans.

Meh, Inferno was always boring for me for whatever reason, so i won't miss them that much. I think im not alone in this, coz afterall, people voted for dungeon 
If there will be expansion i would rather see some new faction - or dwarfs, if done right.
