Please, explain to me, how Necromancers still get Lamasu. They were created around 564. Nearly 3 centuries past. And they're still in the Elite. There was several wars, necro were exiled. And Lamasu are ressurected Beastmen. What, Wizards created new ones for their dear necromancers?
They should already be extinct during H7.
But dat Grim Reapers. H5's Wraith on a horse. Oh yeah.
And Sandro was mentioned again 8)

It's strange that they suddenly start to ignore the lore where they want to Erwan uses lore to get his look-alike lich and his beloved wife (Lamasu )

Maybes they start sowing zombies onto (dead) manticores? There's still plenty of those left. And do they realy need Wizards to do it for them? They couldn't, like, do it themselves?

Yeah, in H5 they had heroes that look close to that, but they weren't armored.

Hello guys,
We've been working with Limbic for several years now and with different projects (H6 SoD, MMX & H7). Our collaboration is strong and we share a common vision about the game and the franchise in general. This idea of the big bad wolf Ubisoft is wrong here since we are the M&M team above all and are the ones cooperating with Limbic.
Website and game are too totally different topics, we do have issues with our servers at the moment but we are not talking about the same budgets and projects here. The website is a different entity.
We decided to go for transparency with this website, we acknowledged the return of some creatures and understand your frustration. However we can assure that game feeling will be different with this faction and champion units will definitively make the change. We learned many lessons with Heroes VI and this is not because some models are similar that the game will be the same.
Moreover, and I hope you will trust us at some time, we want to deliver the best game possible, for you and for us, we have no interest at all to do the opposite. This website represent some “risks” for us because we share lot of information and every time we ask ourselves if this will be well welcomed or not but we love Heroes and just want to share as much as we can on this one with you.

Obviously it's a question of money. Every budget, lose or tight, always has a limit, so re-using some parts will allow more money to be spent elsewhere, which can be good. I'm just surprised they chose to keep these particular details, given how much dislike towards the Lich in particular has been displayed here. But then again, wasn't it just the other day that one of the insiders said that (in their impression at least) most players liked H6 Necropolis, a picture I have a hard time recognizing, but then again, what do I know ...
PS: I think the Grim Reaper is totally awesome. It is also for that reason, that it is sad that some of the bad-looking creatures from H6 (personally I dislike the Vampire more than the Lich) are re-used.

As much as I like Ashan - yes, Lamasu's presense surely seems strange

I don't think it's possible to resurrect so much old ones. They were a failed experiment, so logically they aren't too numerous to begin with. Buuuut...
RMZ1989 & WarOverlord & LizardWarrior - while I was writing the answer to you all I remembered that Necro campaign is a story told by Anastasya. It happened in the past. So the case is solved.
WarOverlord - well, I agree, maybe someone from Chimera moved to Eterna and made Lamasus for them  You have a point. Though I think such things as Beastmen creation are kept in secret.
Avonu. yes, H5 had similar Heroes, but here we have them as creatures and they're gonna swing that scythe over and over! And they just look gorgeous.
P.S.: Heroes were hooded skeletons anyway. I like Nazgul-style more.

I'm afraid words are not going to work Nox. The community has been VERY loud about all this and we're getting literally THE SAME Heroes 6 creatures again in the Elite department. I'll hand it to you that the Champions are great, but I'm not going to think about that one one hand and accept a compromise on the other hand. No, I want a REAL Necropolis with all creatures being amazing and not the Heroes 6 crap.
Sorry if I'm being a bit harsh but I'm very emotional about Necropolis since it's my all time favorite faction and I cannot stand Ubisoft's butchering at all.

Yeah, many unit is the same, but i welcome the return of Bone Dragon and also the Grim Reaper (alias dread knight with reaper) 
Spider is fit well too.
There will be other types, may be neutral units of spiders too? As in King's Bounty there were many.
The Necropolis unit models not quiet finished yet? THey looked like H5 models. Way more worse than the Haven and Academy unit pictures and 3D models. More pixelated. Unreal 3 can do better. I hope you will put out on the website the final pictures and models too in the near future.

Given that they've reverted to "traditional" Necromancy, I'm sure that's part of the plan.
