I added the following information to my GameStar preview post:

- 7 ressources (the new ressources won't be named sulfur, gems and quicksilver because those don't fit Ashan)
- there will be more objects (especially obstacles) on the battlefield
- the game uses the Unreal Engine 3
- an editor will be shipped with the game
- you can do the last campaign of the game whenever you will, but this will result in an increased difficulty because you missed things from the other campaigns

Short Rock, Paper, Shotgun article.

On the multiplayer side, Skirmish and Duel modes are already in, and Hot Seat support is confirmed.

I believe that refers to a palallel release to that of the game, as a dlc. That we'd be getting them on the release one way or the other.

I am hoping there will be more faction voting in the expansion(s)

What they exactly said about the losing factions was, that they won't come as a DLC at release.

I also would have preferred more factions but according to the GameStar preview they only have money for 6 factions. So no Dungeon or Sanctuary for me or even both if Dungeon loses the vote against Inferno.

At least there is always the chance of one or more addons with new factions if the game sells well.

I think Limbic have not enough money for more factions to be in vanilla, not in addon.

Another noteworthy part of the article is the one which mentions the creatures of the factions we vote for. Apparently we will also vote for some of their creature line-up

Edit: I edited my post with additional facts.


All this is very good news (except the "choose one of the two champion", but it is more a personal taste, and its only one unit so I will survive).

Unlike heroes 6 where from beginning there where some thing I did not like, this one is totally opposite.

This can be the next heroes 5 game, and maybe even something more.

I also understand they don't have money to produce more factions right now, but in the future for expansions, they should (if H7 does well).

I seriously don't see why it has to be male.

I am really excited from all of this, especially because we have 4 classes AND skillwheel like in Heroes 5! The direction where this is going is crazy good!
