If they did not care, why would they even want to make a mod?
And not only that, it is your choice to download the mod or not. Nobody forces you to do that.

Too bad there is no Necropolis in Heroes 7
Considering the definition of necropolis they still fit the bill quite fine actually. No matter what you think of the cult they are in.

Don't get the humor of the jokes honestly its rather old to be honest and the insults or comical jabs people do at the dev's. I simply don't find the humor in it either.
I just wonder what the maturity levels of some of the people making such jokes. The name still fits no matter what they are doing in their city.

Yes and it has dead people living in it does it matter what it looks like. Since necropolis essentially means "city of the dead". Or a ancient city(plus most of them are ancient dead people) with a burial place which they have plenty of.
Personally the town screen does not bother me. My point still stands in my opinion. Yes you may not like their cult or how they are designed but they are still a necropolis and the name fits. I assume that's the reason why they named the faction that in the many iterations of the game because its a city or community of dead people.

Well what ever. This is my opinion on the subject (I read it ages ago) but hey what ever floats your boat.
I am just annoyed at all the juvenile jabs at the necropolis faction and Erwan.

One sad thing about not having Necropolis in the second beta... the lack of confirmation on whether the giant spider legs are an optional building.
Then again, given the Sylvan roller coaster track is already there...

Jokes?
Quote: Yes and it has dead people living in it does it matter what it looks like.
Since necropolis essentially means "city of the dead"
Yeah, in that regard the name never made much sense, seeing it's always been a city of undead.
But hey, beggars can't be choosers.

PS: Heroes will be never a balanced game.
I agree with that to some extent, when we use the word "balanced" it shouldn't taken literally, imo. The perfectly balanced game is like an utopia, it can be used as a theoretical goal, but what we have in practice are acceptable intervals.
Well of course, a perfect balance in unreachable...but I wasn't talking about any theoretical goal, no. Allow me to rephrase what I said to:
Heroes will be never a competitive balanced game.
Heroes can't and will never be a competitive game like StarCraft, Counter Strike, Hearthstone, DotA, League of Legends or any of those. It simply can't because it depends on way too many variables, plus randomness. Hell, every released Heroes has between 5 and 9 completely different factions, with different creatures abilities and the like. It's too much...
What do devs must do is to make sure there are no auto-win things (traditional Necromancy, for example), yet still keeping the game fun. Because that's what Heroes is about. Fighting mythological armies in a chess-like board, conquering the overworld and having fun.
jhb said: And I also think that an obsessive pursuit for "balance" can end up cutting part of the fun.
Yup yup yup.
Well, I think that Heroes is not suitable for the type of competitions that SC and Dota have. And by that I mean the format, brackets, money and trophies. Heroes is more on the in-house leagues side, ladderboards and score points. You'd compete for "honor & glory", not for prize pools. And for that I definitely see a lot of potential with Heroes. Duels would be immensely popular just because of the easiness to start them and because they're not as time consuming as a normal game. Custom hero builds and armies would definitely help with that in terms of replayability. Small maps would also be played a lot, and depending on the variable victory types you could also have some non-linear competition. It would take some effort but I think it's possible. It wasn't by chance that I asked Marzhin about it back in Paris at the fan day. Just look at ToH and you'll get my point.

And arachnepolis means "city of spiders" and since spiders are more prevalent than dead in H7 it's a more fitting name. Hence the jokes.
