I stumbled on something reading some other thread and it reminded me of this. Please, let us choose if we want to take the skill that is offered in a witch hut or at least check what it is beforehand. I always reload when I do not get what I want there, anyway.

Good point, I started saving before entering a witch hut myself once that screwed me out of my last slot as well.

Some were uploaded on M&M FB iirc

This all faction-vote-war thing I find offensive. There is a vote, Sylvan OBVIOUSLY takes the lead and then we have some "stand proud, defend dwarf faction" propaganda or whatever this is. It all looks just politics to me and we still have no idea how actual factions will be like.

So...do you think Jezebeth is dead dead or just demon dead? because she was terrified but having to start from 0 in the demon world must be too.
Stevie said: I don't think so. For several reasons.
If you guys would've listened to hahakocka's interview with Romero, you would've understood that they firstly need a sample to understand the mood and how the music should fit and feel. It's common sense to create the theme music after the developers design a faction, so that you don't end up with music that doesn't match what you see on the screen.
Now try looking at things from Ubisoft's point of view. Why would they want Romero and King to create theme music for all 9 factions? Because it would be a pain for them to do one every time they'd announce another town with an expansion? Well, that's the only way, mates. Why would you buy something in advance that you're unsure you'll ever use? Think about it, this is Ubisoft we're talking about here. Future expansions are uncertain at this stage, so buying a score for something not even planned is an unnecessary risk.
And you could always look at Heroes 6 and see what happened. Did King and Romero compose the Shades music in advance? No. IIRC, they were fired before Shades so the music was made by someone else. They didn't had anything in advance for Dungeon.
So plenty of reasons to doubt that they already made all the faction music before their development even started. The industry simply doesn't work that way. My guess is that Paul and Romero are working as we speak. They will probably have to compose music for the other 2 factions voted by the council. That's why these are the first votes we have. Things get decided as soon as possible, then they get executed, not the other way around. There's absolutely no reason to venture in the unknown, and Ubisoft knows that well.
composing and recording two extra tracks along the rest is cheaper than doing it later and having to book the players, recording studio, etc later.

As Avonu hinted at, once one becomes a Demon, one is not subjected to the laws of death for mortals and has become subject to the laws of death for demons.

Going on a tangent here, but regarding the voting and possible factions that show up ingame ... the initial voting is between Sylvan and Fortress and the next one is supposedly between Dungeon and Inferno, leaving Sanctuary out. Why was this particular format chosen? For people who prefer Sylvan and Fortress over the other three I mentioned, this poll seems 'unfair'. Did you consider allowing people to give a priority listing, ranking the five as-of-yet-out-of-game factions according to personal desire? And derive in that way which two factions have the largest fan base across all the fans?

Unfair because a game does not meet one's expectations? It would be even more unfair if they revealed the 6 factions right away and people complained that the remaining 3 are missing. This way at least there is SOME involvement which in my opinion is just enough. It's one thing to listen to constructive criticism and know about the popularity of certain elements of the game but in the end a game is not supposed to be fan-service but is mainly the vision of the developers.

Considering how they're involving the general public through this poll and some of the polls that they have promised are yet to come, I'd say that they are opening it up for a small part as a fan-service. Besides, the more fans are happy with the chosen direction, the more revenue they will generate in the long run. So, yes, it's their vision of the game, but it's in their best interest to make that vision come as close to what the general public seems to crave, to generate sales.

Yes, that's why I said "some involvement" and that's quite enough, what you said would be more than that. Of course they have to pay attention at criticism and feedback because they don't make the game for themselves, but for profit, yet it still never should turn into "I want this and I want that" competition. I liked the bold stuff they did in H6 that did not scream "for the fans" unlike H5 that was too much fan-service in my opinion.
