The phoenix's rebirth symbolizes the cycle of seasons in nature. Amongst other things.

you can take an aspect of a creature and change it to fit the fantasy lore, but its original characteristics must be untouchable.
efreeti were djinnns of hell. they didn't change their basic characteristics, but added a twist. now that was diverse and unique.
How is putting infernal jinn in the Inferno faction adding a twist?
Efreeti themselves are a rip-off from D&D, which in turn stole the idea from Islamic folklore, so I would definitely not call them unique.
In Ashan, Asha is connected to life, death and rebirth, so it completely makes sense to tie the Phoenix to Asha. That is giving a twist to mythology to fit a creature in your game.
Of course we can debate about it's colour scheme. Imo blue is to close to the T-bird, but I support the idea of a moonix.

Well.. Inferno officially has the best destructive class, the warlock. They have strong ties to luck and will likely have ways to screw with opponent's luck. Their gameplay is aggressive and depends on sabotage.
I cannot exclude the possibility, especially if some classic units return.

Well going by the comment section during the voting and some people on these very forums I think the dungeon vs inferno vote is going to be close.
They are both "classic" in a sense and you have to add the regular fans of inferno and those who don't want another "elven" faction in the game.
So I don't think you should rule inferno out in my opinion.

I didn't - these are the units that have the chance to enter the game if Earth's Perfect Balance wins.
Sadly, Unicorns are not included, although I would pick them over some Emerald Knights any day of the week. Just not over Phoenixes.

Fury jumped from 28 to 35% overnight. I find the odds extremely unllikely.

This. Plus the fact all the percents Fury got went only from Strength and not Balance.

People realized that strength and fury are almost the same thing.
balance is more distinct so it would have to be either strength vs balance or fury vs balance.
people who voted for strength certainly didn't want phoenixes in the line up. so they sided with fury since it makes more sense for sylvan gameplay(as it was described.)
the odds are not that unlikely...

So you say those who voted for Strength, lineup that was a close second, SUDDENLY changed their minds, and voted for the lineup that was far behind, and didn't even had unicorn and root snake?

No. That's totally impossible. It's not like we even had a lot of people RIGHT HERE changing their minds, myself included. No, that just can't happen. It's hax, surely.
Seriously, when this happened just YESTERDAY with STRENGTH, no one said anything about foul play. Now, when the tables switched again, every one says it's hax.
Get a grip, people.

True I changed my vote from strenght to Fury when the odds started to change, but I think every body whith their right minds must see that this is far from normal. I call it a hex and the first step to the scraping of any voting in the future.

Um, no, yesterday Strength was only 2-4% behind Balance at worst, and Fury was FAR behind all the time. How Fury got from 26% to 36% in a single night without hax is beyond me.

Yeah, it must be it! I mean 10 people on Heroes community changed their vote(and not all of the 10 for Fury, it was mixed) and suddenly Fury went up by 7%.
I find your "Get a grip" quite ironic actually.
