But you can see that during treant's turn the arrow is shown, meaning the treant can attack from range. Hence ranged attack.

Give that man a cookie  Yeah I would have prefered an elite treant tank with a choice between phoenix and dragon for champion. But since the treants did make it to top tier, remaining the same would make them the most boring champion in the game.. An elite tank is awesome, you want it asap. But a tank champion.. who cares. What makes H7 treants special is not their cheesy shooting but the ability to become a living shelter and keep your ranged units safe. With that in mind being ranged makes sense as it allows them to stay in position and offer support if needed. Still lame but better than a tank champion.

There is no insult. He is literally wrong. Judging from the description of the Treant's ability which you can find on SC, you cannot move or attack after use of Living Shelter. So saying that being ranged has some kind of advantage because of that is inaccurate.
Moreover, champions not being viable tanks because of a "who cares" reason is just absurd and constitutes a false premise for the rest of the argument, which in my perspective misses the bigger picture of how the treant is supposed to play. You're not ONLY a tank, you're a crowd controller, and you have a synergistic link with a core for heal. I'd say that's interesting in its own way and appeals to a certain style of play.

Stevie, you apparently did not understand how being a shooter helps with their special. It allows them to stay close to the other shooters in the back in case it was not obvious.
Also opinions cannot be wrong. I have been playing with treants long before you did. I don't care to do it all over again, only this time as a champion. A tank is always better in earlygame.
