I actually disliked the H5 centaur,they really looked.....weird
I dunno,I can't pin it down,but they just didn't look right to me.


As for Cyclopses being ranged again:
Yeah I think the laser eye should be something like a special melee attack or something like this.
I would love it if the cyclops gains the ability to throw goblins again.I mean if the goblins return as shooters,then it would fit even better(because in H5 you had to choose either keeping your goblins in your backlines,where they can't do that much,but can be easily sacrificed or if you want them to fight)

Back during H6 development I was very disappointed we got centaurs again, in elite tier no less. Perhaps because we already had our share of humanoids at the expense of more interesting units, perhaps because the lineup wasn't particularly different from H5.

But after I saw them with vigilant shot, move and shoot or shoot and move? That was so awesome. My sense of gameplay overshadowed my thematic preferences.

But if centaurs return, I hope they will look less dull than that.

That and the fact that they somehow revolved around agility instead of pure strength. Centaur trying to out maneuver, jaguar warrior has agile fighter & harpy for quick attack.

While I agree that some barbaric tribe fight this way, I'd rather have a stronghold line up focused on pure strength and leaving the agility to other like sylvan. @Stormcaller I'm not very fond of the goblin. Still I do think blackskull surpass the sahaar art wise & if they ease down on the many arm/head theme. Like the blackskull clan warlord (remind me of an ogre) & blackskull centaur (over the sahaar one). Imo I don't think, if they truly chose saahar, that they should seclude creature based on clan (Ashan lore has already intriguing rules).

In that sense I agree with you the blackskull clan should be considered has a viable option but also other art from DOC. If lore problem they could explain it by making the sahaar the conquering tribe at that time. Funny thing is that card change but the cyclops keep the same meatball concept

IS blackskull clan warlord even an orc? He looks more like an ogre. Either way, I wouldn't mind seeing him as an elite.

I could stand everything but the silly beduin crusher.

Yes he is an orc.. But that is Blacksull for you. None of their creatures are common

@cliff_nest: Well for me, Stronghold had the best gameplay in H6 vanila. True some parts of H5 would be welcomed.. I think Stronghold could be one of the most interesting line-ups. And yes, with my high expectations, I risk the same disapointment the necro fans had.

To each his own. With recent event I jumped the boat a while ago. Also I mainly play necro and stronghold. Seem that the little chat on the forum is all that left for me.

However I hope you do get something that live to your expectation.

@Stormcaller stand is the right word. While I'm at it do you know why there is a Sahaar mummy in DOC

i think this unit looks like a core. a weak orc unit maybe? and if we have not-super-epic units as orcs, then i really wonder what we have in elite, and also, in champion spot.

does this means no more "big orc elite"? i hope!

And? Besides the fact that all the neutral units seem greyed out (secondary colours tied to player colours?), compare:

(watch this and view the standing pose)

* The shape of the feet.
* The shape of the head.
* The colour of the creature.
* The position of the swords.
* The overall posture.
* The shape of the attire.

The mere fact that the attire is grey and not blue is conjecture at this point.

if we have a secondary color shifting with player, then im happy with that feature. i wanted thi even before h6... player color and such.. should have some color effect on army.

btw yeah its probably not orc, i probably mistaken that.

...but this also reveal another problem, we should be able to identify creature dont we? how come its that much obscure?

Not meaning to toot my own horn, but I identified it from the get-go. I think that people are just so eager to see Stronghold units that a less obvious unit viewed as a less obvious angle at a distance was mistaken as such.

I mean, compare the full picture and say that the rest of the creatures aren't immediately identifiable.

@cliff_nest: I think it is better to ask people like me, Elvin or Polygoth since we have a lot more played. Stormcaller only just started. And for your question, there is no specific reason. There are two mummies in the game, both came in the same set. Unlike stronghold, or haven, necropolis rarely had central themes based around sub-factions in a set.

Looks like a Pile of Gold to me. You can see another one next to the Golem somewhat above that.

I want male melee Centaur, less goofy-looking and more badass looking. Though, range would also be nice.
