Thank you for your report, but this was known source code issue, it affects only deep freeze. For balance it is better this way since deep freeze secondary effect is so powerful it would overshadow implosion too much.

Yea, it makes sense balance-wise. It should be noted in the description somehow, though, or else you'll learn it the hard way that going for caster's luck while Deep Freeze is your main damaging spell is totally wasted.

While I'm here, I'd like to ask something else too: what's your opinion about Arcane Omniscience? I've been trying to make a good build that'd make use of it, but the requirements are so heavy that it doesn't even worth it, in my opinion. It already requires summoning and dark magic to begin with, so what would you gain from it? Light and destructive spells. But is it worth it? Dark magic vastly overshines light, and destructive is worthless without its perks and occultism, and you're forced to make some crappy choices to get it (Battlefield Logistics and giving up Intelligence). I think what you're getting is totally inferior to what you're actually paying for it.

Also, Wizards don't have Occultism. Is it intentional, to keep Academy heroes from getting both artifacts and empowered spells? If so, would it be really that overpowered?

If there is a favorable path to an ultimate skill, people will always go for that (or worse: are supposed to)

Wizards and elementalists are supposed to be different classes, one focuses on spellpower the other on knowledge.

Help for the AI

First, a quick bug report-with a governor hero with a Knowledge of 15, I get 4 extra L7's (green dragons) each week with the Banner of Legion, not the one that the in-game formula says I should get (K/12-seems like K/4).

Main topic I wanted to raise-despite a recent report of a overpowered AI army invading someone upthread-is a request to give the AI some extra help.  First recommendation would be to let the bonus slider be selectable out to infinity (or at least 1 year)-in a late game, I often find a lot of unbought troops of theirs in the towns I take.

I'd also like to request some additional bonus creature growth-not sure if the AI appoints governors, but if not that right there is an additional edge for a human player.  The AI probably does not optimize any Legion artifacts that it gets, either, nor any gold producting artifacts.  Perhaps only give the bonus growth on Impossible.

Most of the changes you can find on the fb page here https://mobile.facebook.com/mightandmagicheroes5.5/?ref=bookmarks

Go to photos -> albums. There is an album for each faction. Inside are all tiers.

Same goes for spells.

Currently 90% of creature changes and 25% of changed spells are inside.
If a monster/spell is not inside it is probably not changed.

By the end of the week a lot of this stats will improve so stay tuned.

The formula in script is correct, please look for other fatcors affecting tier7 growth.

On what map size and what game month do you think AI is too easy, also did you use console command to ally all of them against you?

Bug report:

Well downloaded it and tried vanilla mmh5.5. Bombardeer (Ballista spec with fireball). Fireball does an additional "1" dmg for each 3 lvl. Not 20

Edit: Is bugged under lvl 3... Does only 1 additional dmg

That's not a bugged, was intented by Nival, SP starts counting from -1.

hi mango  , i played today a game with nordos and we got random starting bonuses i got gold but got only + 800 , nordos got +6 resoruce is that ok?

Not really, but depends if map has unique gold pattern which cannot be recognized.

It was a freshly created random map. So, I doubt that there were any modifications which would influence it :S

I dunno, all I'm trying to tell you is that that town was getting, according to the governor screen, +4 L7's from artifacts.  It was already getting +2 from base growth, +2 from two external L7 dwellings.

In the middle to late game, for the reasons provided.  If the AI won't hire governors and thus can't get the bonuses, wouldn't you agree that the AI would need some help to compensate?

The slider seems like the easiest change to implement in the short term. <shrug>

@Magno, can you remind me something. How long does Frenzy lasts?
In the files it says 1 turn but I think it was hardcoded to be always 2 turns. So currently it is 2. Right?

Also damage increase  on expert is flat 60% + 1% per SP in HoMM5.5 compared to Tote which is 3% per SP.

I ask this because spell description says damage is doubled which confuse me ...

You are right, I found the bug, but it is only in the info window not the actual recruits

No that is not the reason, the AI already gets much bigger bonuses than you, you need to play all vs one, this has much bigger impact. Use @H55_KillMe(x); console command.

I started with Czech localization project of your great H5.5 mod.
(Dred knight helps me to learn how to edit the files etc.)
But we don't know whether it is possible to change (=translate) the names of the classes too, dred knight is aware of breaking the game mechanics through that. In the case this is possible, where to find the names of classes to change them?

Ok I can confirm new starting bonuses are not working on Impossible level, you just get the old bonus.

and worse, AI cheating isn't working on impossible either, HEROIC is currently the hardest difficulty vs AI (this may have been the case in older versions as well) and explains why some people noticed AI unable to buy all creatures and felt weak.

False alarm, this must have been another issue, impossible is still the hardest

Class names can be changed, the txt files are located in Gamemechanics/RefTables/heroClass folder, which i now notice is still in the data.pak
