Hi guys, awesome mod, but I noticed that Spanish translation files are bad on moddb. The file MMH55-Cam-Dialogs-ES.h5u is not working properly. I tried the french and german file (same file) and they work. But spanish one is not working, no voices at dialogues. Could you take a look ?

it doesn't work because the file dates are too old, I uploaded the fix but moddb seems to have issues at the moment.

I don't know whether it is too late for the mod tool I made. it is open source, and maybe makes you much easier for creating new mods.

Still heavy developing it for more formats in PAK files.

for that an overwrite mod needs to be created that sets the file dates of original textures and icons to 2019.

My sons still mock me not trying any other game. OK i will not play anything random shooter etc, but i tend to get everything Turnbased genre it comes out. Still...i don't play them.
I'm still loving you...eeerrr...i'm still playing Heroes 5.5
Dispite the lack of new maps, every now and them, a new way of strategies and game approach reveals to me.
Latelly i found out the power of upgrading footmen into priests, and haven is not lame and boring anymore.
Nowdays i'm trying my all time Heroes favourite faction, the Barbarians. I found them realy weaken with the mod changes, and took away the joy playing with them.
Yet, i'm struggling to manage a proper strategy in Impossible difficulty, and today i'm smiling, because i'm doing some progress.

I have noticed a pattern where nerfing the most overpowered skills, necromancy and bloodrage, results in the most disappointment, players dealing with the reality of those skills being equal to the others.

Hmmm...i quess you're right. In your precious efforts to give us better and constant pleasure with your mod, sometimes you will ruin our usual ways of "living". You're doing your best for equal and balanced gameplay, but it's hard to deal with it...at first.
For example, i'm not installing your latest mod version, because i hate to see Ingvar stepped down.

Could you elaborate on why Ingvar should not be stepped down, because I try to understand the human psychology of it, in contrast with the people requesting me to make every spec perfectly equal.

No no...he sure has to be stepped down. You do good. That's the noble way of balance and even chances.
On the other hand, regarding human psychology, if you found a sweet spot in game, even it's like stealing a church, you adore it (Pure Evil Character Generation i guess).
I love to be invisible for 3 turns, not just 2.
You do the right thing, don't have any second thoughts.

As for me and others like me..."am i evil, yes i am".

Hey,

Just stumbled upon something: Summon Hive doesn't work with Occultism Skill, as the Wasp Swarm it casts doesn't ignore magic resistance of an immune unit (think undead). Is this an intended mechanic for balance purposes, or hardcoded, and as such, tricky to change?

the hive is considered a creature, so just like water elementals hero skills do not apply.

After I pick "enlightment" in campaign for example, Markal, from now on at the start of every following mission he gets "knowledge increased". I checked the math between missions, and it is additional knowledge out of no where - propably enlightment gives leveling stats at the start of every mission. Can you guys check it? I use the updated version from moddb.

It seems Isabel also received additional defense in 5th mission of Markal - I guess from the defensive formation. Is it possible to stop it from triggering? I really don't want play campaigns avoiding good bonuses from skill tree, just because it makes me overpowered.

A bunch of stuff, mostly suggestions and/or bug reports:

Bug: Taking Arcane Avenger in Sylvan campaign effectively grants you a free level up of Destruction Magic in consecutive missions (went from Basic Mission 1 to Advanced in M2, and then Expert once I began M3). I'm quite reluctant to believe it can be coded to not grant a free level up of DM on a start of a mission, eh?

Bug: Applying Chain Attack to an Imperial Griffin and successfully landing a dive attack (IDK about Battle Griffin, but it definitely applies to the first upgrade's special ability) effectively crashes your game to the desktop. I've been using Chain Attack + Stunning Blow, if that's of any relevance.

Bug (?): I could obtain Shatter Summoning Magic on a Reaver (via Witch's Hut), despite skillwheel stating it shouldn't be possible. I believe I've had the same situation with Warden having access to Avenger (Tieru vs Dungeon single player Scenario, whatever the name was)

Bug (?): Having two of the same faction in one game effectively renders one of them being unable to convert towns if the other has already converted one of the towns/military outposts/whatever, since there are limitations on how many castles/outposts/buildings in general one player (faction) can convert. If it's not a bug, can it be changed somewhere for individual preference?

Suggestion wise:

Make Valeria a Renegade. She has a sword in her art after all - it's kind of weird to see her class being magic-esque oriented.

Speaking of Renegades and Heretics, what about Lorenzo and Benedict? Are their specs in the making, or there's simply not enough space for more Haven heroes?

By the way, I've played Kaspar in my recent RMG Epic Map attempt and ended up disappointed: Is this only an issue with 5.5 balancing, or is the Tent only able to resurrect a unit two times, and then it's completely removed from the action bar and thus no longer able to act, or was this the case in 3.0 versions as well?

P.S. is there anyone working on Polish translation of 5.5, mayhaps? I could do some work on it in my spare time for the hell of it, since H5 has some popularity among my fellow brethren.

How should I approach the text files that need to be translated, as in, do I need any programmes to open certain files, or is it just a matter of opening them up with 7zip/WinRar and directly traslating individual text files?
